Hi elemis, very nice template. I bought it and have some trouble with the portfolio. I don`t know how to group the galleries. Like I have gallery A and gallery B. If I click on gallery A, I only want all images beloning to this gallery to be shown…

I am very interested in purchasing this theme, but the iPad issue is killing me.
The website is going to be showcased on an iPad primarily as a photo gallery.
The main issue is that the NAV bar DOES NOT FOLLOW the sections when clicked.
The space is empty where the NAVBAR is suppose to be.

Now it works fine in www.ipadpeek.com, but just try it out and imagine the navbar missing after you click the sections.

Unfortunately, fixed background attachment property is not supported in iPhone and iPads, so the menu doesn’t stay on top on these devices.
Hi elemis, I purchased the 3D version of locus template which as been removed from sale by theme forest admins. Do you still offer support for that file?
I started to customize it but there are some problems I can’t fix… First one is that up and down transition from a section to another doesn’t seem to work when I preview the file in Safari. Any idea why?
Also, I want to add a second portfolio section. I copied all the script from first section in the index.html file and in the style.css file. That worked fine but when I click on the link for the second portfolio the page scrolls down too much and I can’t see the portfolio submenu… The first portfolio section still works fine though.

The scrolling script doesn’t work in Safari when working offline. But this doesn’t happen with the other browsers and if you go online it will work on Safari as well.

I’m trying to resize my images using GIMP to 920px x 310px but it’s not allowing me. How or where can I resize my images with quality to fit this frame?
You cannot use images smaller than 920×310px in the slider. For example one of the images that you have on the slider has the size of 231×310px http://www.quiartistry.com/style/images/featured1.jpg it can’t be resized to fit in the slider. We are not sure how images are resized with GIMP because we haven’t used it before, but you can find information about scaling or cropping with GIMP here: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Lite_Quickies/
I’ve added images to my new website using your theme. How can I make my image fit the window you’ve provided without stretching out the quality of the image?

Your images are too small for slider. They must be 920px x 310px for Nivo slider. Please read the help documentation in theme package. If you follow the instructions step by step you can build your website without any problems.

I was looking through my friends template for the attribute to put my e-mail into and cannot find it. He cant either. Im not going to buy your wordpress theme. I want the HTML theme. All you have to do is tell me and ill buy it. You seemed to answer everyone elses questions fine.

We’re not saying you should buy the wordpress version. We just assumed that your HTML knowledge is not enough to use the HTML version and you might regret buying it. The help documentation inside the theme package includes answers to your questions. If your friend can read the help documentation he can make the form work.

Not a cut and dry answer but non the less helpful. I was unaware of the documentation. I do know HTML but for some reason looking through it I could not find it in your code. No matter though as I found it a few minutes ago.

This is an HTML template. If you have HTML knowledge you can add your photos easily it is not complicated at all.
If you don’t have any HTML knowledge we recommend you check the Wordpress version. You can control its content from wordpress admin without dealing with hardcode. Here are screencasts for using the wordpress version: http://screenr.com/user/elemisdesign
I have some HTML knowledge. I see how you have done it by including the “rel” html in the code for each image. Took me a while of staring at it to see how you did it. I was mainly wondering if there was an easier way as I have a lot of images. I will check out your wordpress version. But I like the price of the HTML version. haha
One more thing before I purchase, I see that after click on an image it will bring it up in its own window. In that window are arrows. In the past I have not had good luck getting those to work due to badly coded HTML . In your template how to you get it to go to another image instead of the stock once you have included. On my friends it will bring up his image but when he clicks next it just goes to one of your grey stock images.

It is achievable by removing the “rel” attributes from the a tags.
I need to stop the nivo slider when it is not in view. I want it to load first and then if a menu button is pushed and the slider is not in view stop it and only restart when #top is called again. I am making this request because the slider seems to be a load on the cpu as it is always running along with the scroll to div animations.

It is not possible to make the Nivo slider only work when it is in view.
However, you can stop the auto-playing and make it change slides only when the user clicks on the buttons.
Here’s how you can do it: Please open style/js/custom.js, scroll down to “NIVO SLIDER ” and change the value of “manualAdvance” from “false” to “true”.

This is an HTML template, so you can do whatever you wish to do The related css is in style/css/layout.css under “PORTFOLIO” (.grid, .grid li,… etc)
My download does not scroll in Safari is there a fix I missed. The live preview works but when I click the navigation it changes div’s but there is no scrolling action.
