You can use a loop back managed for pagination, the only problem i´m working/searching a solution is how get filtering all the items with the effect, I only can see a static pagination with a DB. You need to have present that if your works are paginated the filters only affect to the current page.
This week i will launch a new update with a variant for this, you will have the option of slide all the content and filtering all your works. But the actual hover effect with the info box will be missed. It´s impossible to have all the features, i´m working a lot for having but i can´t.
I want to say too that the portfolio was designed for a particular situation and needs. There is a lot of people that have a lot of works to show. I want to say to all this people that Folio N2 is almost finished and I think will be perfect for a lot of items.
The portfolio is in custom preview dev/phase. Like in Folio N1 i want to give you the possibility of take a preview with different backgrounds, colors, fonts…I hope you like it! (will be iPhone, iPad comp.)

you can add any content type. The lightbox system allow you to “inject” full HTML pages with youtube videos, vimeo or any kind media.

Thanks, the permissions fix worked for me too, once I changed the correct folder.
However, I’m still having two more issues that went unanswered in my last post. The main one being that I would like to add more than 20 images and use the “next” button the way the preview shows. I see other people are having this issue, too.
Also, the lightbox only cycles through the first 9 images, not through the entire 20 images.
If there’s any way you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Galleries are grouped in clases for each item. In the PDF I added a example of this, it´s very easy to implement!
Pagination can be static only, the template hasn´t a DB in the backend. You can add more items in the single page or create new pages with more works.

Reporting that in my case setting permissions for css/images to 755 still allowed the lightbox effects to work. They also worked at 777 as I had done before. But going to 744 made them stop working.
So I’m keeping them at 755. rwxr-xr-x

Hi Thomas! I recommend you use, if working properly, permissions 744. With 777 is unlikely to have any problems, but is less secure than the first.
Onlineleaf seems like a great initiative, no doubt I will include it in the next job. The power saving mode that you included on your site seems very interesting!

Question: Is there any security risk with setting permissions to 777 for this folder? I mean I still have my own separate site passwords for FTP . It’s just clicking a box that says to give permissions for read/write/execute to others seems to carry some risk. But I don’t know if that’s the case. Google search says generally not a super risk, but curious what you think as this is for your design.

I don´t think this is necessary for the design. Permissions should be able to read any such content. 777 only checks if it is a permissions issue, as we see it as well. Why then, depending on the extent of services that you have installed on your hosting you should take other measures. Sorry did not specify this further.
But with only 744 should be able to correctly read files from this directory. I don´t know the initial configuration, but should verify this before. In principle, as I say, it is not dangerous if you can not change PHP or htaccess files, for example. Are most sensitive files, but it is true that a hacker would find it easier to execute malicious files.
So I suggest to 744 and if does not operate well, please contact your hosting provider.

Hello, I’m having the same problems as some people above, with no fancybox or background when gallery pops up. I set the permissions to 777, but still no change.
I’m also having trouble changing the gallery to showcase more than 20 images and utilizing the “next / previous” buttons.
One other issue is that the gallery only cycles through the first nine images.

please, take a look to next message by AVI3000 . If you can see correctly the lightbox in your local machine, this is a problem sure with permissions.

Hi, I also love the theme. I just sent you a private message with a link to a screencap as I am experiencing the same issue as “thomasraukamp” (commenter just prior to this). Regarding the fancybox not using frame, not showing the X, and not graying out the surrounding site with the hatched lines. Also, I just noticed the spinning orange clock signifying load time doesn’t show. As I described in my private message, these problems did not occur when I viewed the site locally, but only when viewed live. Thanks in advance for your help. I’ll look forward to the reply to my specific case, but since I saw Thomas’ comment, I wanted to mention it here also.
I don’t know a lot about servers, permissions, etc., so don’t have theories of my own here. I can say, that the fancybox effects do show for me in the live demo here on themeforest. If there is something to check with my hosting company about, you can let me know when you reply.

And here’s my little problem: While everything works fine when I test it from my harddisc, the large images won’t use their frame (I guess that’s what you call “fancybox”) after zooming when I put the whole thing online. Take a look:
Could it be a problem of the server or the permissions? I searched for some time, but cannot find the fault …

OK, this seems, almost sure, a problem with the permissions of the images folder. The colorbox, the lightbox system, has a images folder inside CSS folder – ccs/images.
With your FTP cliente click secondary button with your mouse and set permissions for this folder to 777. This allow to read and write and execute in this folder, 775. This should solve this problem with this issue.

OK, It´s strange that site go slowly with this option, it´s tested and i don´t apreciate this. But if you want to delete it is so easy as delete from this line in the code:

“A priori” you can´t do it over the lightbox, but you can do it on the hover layer. Where you have the item info when user hovers the works. I think that It would be a good place for like button.
I need some help with how to do the pagination while having the filter still work for all the thumbnails. I also want to set up the lightbox so it can have prev/next buttons and show multiple images. How do I do this? I’m going to send you an email as well. Thanks!
googled around for a solution and found one, took a bit of time
so to make the gallery sort by default and not show all and overflow and look bad on first visit to your website when you have 20 25 items – just modify the file filterable.js, The second last line should look like this if you want to start out showing only the “paintings” for example:

Hi, great looking template, one kind of major thing though—galleries by default “show all” when you enter the site, and the grid overflows, no pagination working.
so if you have more than 20 – 25 items all together its not looking so good. your zipped file contains a total of 20 items – just a perfect amount, but most people will have more than that – which will cause a headache.

thanks a lot for purchasing! The pagination is just an option for doing a static pagination fo your content, this is , create new pages with more items. But if you need a new method I worked on i can send you by mail.
The method you posted for filtering by default is through a trigger and will work fine. I´m working too in a forum system for support better your questions and group of all them by threads. Then will be easier to find answers to redundant questions.

Answering your first question. Maybe a problem with folder permission in your hosting, please, take a look to this, I´m almost sure about it.
2. If you want more frames just edit the background image—> images/background/portfolio-items-bg.png You can custom this basic shapes as you need.
3. For choosing a theme for default just go to themes folder, choose you favorite and copy it in default folder. Paste bg image and theme.css (I recommend you to make a back up of older files) Always you can edit existing files for customing your theme.
