When I view this theme on mobile, I don’t see the text blurb (Cedar is a multi-author…) on the home page. I’m assuming it’s hidden on mobile. Is there a way to make it visible?

If the browser view-port is below a set height this section will be hidden. This feature can be disabled with some custom CSS. If you decide to purchase, contact our support address (support@ecko.me) and we can assist you with this change.
Hey – it would be awesome if you can also insert the mailchimp newsletter sign up below the articles with a nice “call 2 action” box.

Cedar includes a MailChimp widget that enables email sign-ups via the sidebar/drawer areas. Alternatively if you wish to have a signup form within your post/post contents you can use one of the MailChimp embedable forms, which can be obtained via your MailChimp dashboard. This embed code can be placed within your post/page contents, or within the theme code. If you require assistance embedding the form please contact our support address (support@ecko.me).

For post feature and cover images we recommend a minimum image size of 1680×1050. For images and media within your post content we recommend a maximum width of 700 pixels.
Hello. Thanks for the great theme. I recently updated the theme to 1.2.2 and the associated plugins. After the update, when I customize any field and save the customization, it is reflected in the frontend. But when I reopen the customize panel, those settings are not reflected. For example if I changed the logo and save the changes, it changes on the site, but if open customize again the previous logo file setting is not shown and it shows the file upload button. Also there is no way to reset the particular field setting in the customizer. Please help.

I just noticed that when you include instagram’s photo url it does not render the instagram photo like WordPress does by default. Is it possible to add that feature?

Cedar includes valid & semantic HTML markup, OpenGraph, and Schema.org integration. The options for these can be found within your WordPress theme customizer. If you require more options we recommend using a plugin such as ‘Yoast SEO’.

This has been a popular feature request, and we plan on adding the option for a single post to replace the blog title area on the frontpage cover. This feature should be available in the next update, and will support a single post rather than a slider of multiple posts.

Great theme! It’s so clean and exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Only suggestion I have so far is it would be nice to be able to change the text appearing in the footer where the copyright is. You can hide the elements, but I don’t like how it adds a period after the blog name and would like to add more links in there. Having it as a setting to be able to put our own text/html would be great so we don’t have to edit the template php files

In the meantime, can you please tell me if/how I can achieve the following:
1. Is it possible to center the oval “scroll down” graphic that is currently on the lower-right of the cover? I basically would like it centered at the bottom of the cover rather than be on the bottom right.
2. I would like the black footer that appears at the bottom of (http://cedarwp.ecko.me/) to ALSO appear at the very bottom of post pages (such as http://cedarwp.ecko.me/install-tinc-and-vpn-setup-on-ubuntu-14-04/—below previous post/next post bar). I basically want the footer on every page of the site.
3. I would like it so that when you scroll beyond the cover fold, the sticky header automatically displays. Right now, the display is set to off and ONLY turns on if the user scrolls back up. I don’t like this functionality….I hope there is an easy way to change it so it’s always visible beyond the fold.
4. I love how when you click “View Comments” they slide visible, however I would love it if the link then became “Close Comments” so if you click it, the comments close back up.
5. In comments, why is it that when you click “reply” the reply field appears at the very bottom of comments? How can I change this behavior so that when you click “reply” the field appears directly beneath the comment you want to reply to? I assume this is through Ajax and hope it is easy to implement because I see it done in most themes.

Hi, I am really interested in your theme but have a pre-purchase question. Can the hero background image on every page be a background video instead (with both MP4/WEBM options for cross browser compliance as well as a static image for mobile users)? If this is not currently supported do you know of a plugin to use that will enable this functionality?
I am looking at your theme as well as “Literatum” and that’s something that theme shows off well. Other than that, I like aspects of your theme better over Literatum so please let me know.
