I want to create two user types ‘users that can ask questions (but cannot answer)’ and ‘users who can only answer posted questions’

also, does the theme auto email registered users when either a new question is posted or an answer to an existing question is posted online? Cheers.

Also it would be nice for users to have a certain amount of points to be allowed to post a question. For example 10 points to ask a question and 5 points given if the user answers someone else’s question. Just like Quora.

Oh and please add social login. Facebook, Google, etc.

About user points this in my theme login to panel and go to option and choose User setting tab you can found in bottom all user point number and you can change it .

About social login if you add any plugin to make this it’s work and i’ll see a nice plugin and add it in the next update .

What I mean is that there are points deducted automatically from the user when he/she adds a question. So the user is required to answer someone else’s question first to get points to be able to add his question. Does that make sense?

Yes exactly. The same thing as Quora. This will help users engage on your website. Or else there will be hundreds of unanswered questions and users not wanting to answer any of them.

About home 2 >> Add New Page >> Chose in Template ” Home page ” >> if you chose it will open the meta Home Options >> chose from Home top box layout ” style 2 ” >> and fill all you data >> Publish you page >> go to Settings >> Reading >> chose A static page (select below) >> select your Front page .

Good! Oh and I think people should be able to edit their questions, change categories, add videos, etc. But I do no suggest adding a delete button for the question because that will erase all the answers others have given, so not a good idea. What do you think?

I’m not sure if people pointed it out, but the menu on mobile is broken. The background is transparent and the links are barely visible.

Also when choosing a category, you are not able to select a sub-category. Only parent categories are shown. Sorry for all these comments but I want this template to be perfect

Is it possible to change the user’s email address to be his full name on his profile instead? When hovering over their image, we should see their full name instead of their username/email. Same thing with about the author. This way it makes it a more personalized community.

I noticed also, if you delete a user’s answer because it’s irrelevant or it’s spam. It doesn’t remove their points. This can attract spammers.

Well I would prefer for the person’s name to be displayed instead of their user. The person’s email should stay confidential. And yes, if the answer is removed, so should the points.

Sort of, yes. But I always want WP to display their full name and not a username. I want to make adding a first and last name required in the registration. And I want the username to be their email address. This way they can login with their username AND email.

That is very good news indeed! I’m wondering if it would be difficult for users to promote their question or bring it back to the top of unanswered questions by using points that they accumulated. Quora is doing this right now and it’s working great! If for example a user posted this question 1 week ago and then 10 users posted a question after him, his question might appear on the second page and users will not see it. That way they could use their points to boost their question. What do you think?

Well if the question was resolved then he will not be allowed to promote it. But technically if the user has not click resolved, then he/she thinks that no one has really answered the question even if there are a lot of answers. I just got another idea. When answering someone’s question, it would be nice if we could have some word editor to highlight text, bold, underline, etc. A word editor such as TinyMCE or WYSIWYG.

The changing of buttons when logged in doesn’t seem to work. I try changing them in my home page section. Even if I change the text or link, nothing changes it stays as if you were not logged in. Also, if we decide not to put anything in the boxes and keep them empty, the buttons should disappear.
