I am interested in purchasing your Ghost theme and I would like to clarify something before proceeding.
My plan is to have two instances of Ghost (or Magic Pages services) — one in Spanish and one in English. As far as I understand, Ghost itself is not designed for multilingual websites, since the native tools do not actually translate the pages. This means that features such as newsletters, comments, likes, etc. would remain in a single language.
For this reason, in order to provide a proper user experience, I would need to run two separate Ghost setups: one for English and one for Spanish.
I am sharing all this just to make sure that if I purchase the theme license for one site, it would also be valid for the second instance, or if I would need to purchase a separate license for each Ghost installation. Could you please confirm?

To clarify: if you run an additional Ghost instance for a different language (e.g. English and Spanish) under separate domains or subdomains, this is still covered by a single license. As long as the usage is limited to the same project and you are only changing the language, you do not need to purchase an additional license.

I would like to know if this theme has the option to make the menu sticky like on this page? https://www.roamsaudi.com/blog/ which also has the same theme, but I think they have drastically modified the theme styles.

Question for you. I have purchased other ghost themes and they didn’t convert uploaded JPG images to AVIF/WebP and some of them weren’t responsive. Does this theme have the Ghost serve webp implemented?

Hi! Thanks for the message — the ‘social_url’ helper was introduced in Ghost version 5.118.0, so you’ll need to update to that version or newer in order to use the updated theme with these new options.

Getting this error when installing on the latest version of Ghost:
Error: Not all page features are being used This error only applies to pages created with the Beta editor. Some page features used by Ghost via the {{@page}} global are not implemented in this theme. Find more information about the {{@page}} global here. Affected files: page.hbs: @page.show_title_and_feature_image is not used
Is there an update coming up for this?

Hi, the helper mentioned in this error was introduced to the theme in version 2.4.0 back in 2023. The theme is regularly updated and fully compatible with the latest version of Ghost. This can be independently verified using the GScan tool available on the Ghost website – the report shows no errors. It’s therefore possible that Ghost has mistakenly restored an old, outdated error message.

Hi, is there a way to hide the featured image on an actual post? I’m using an image with a play button for videos so that they appear as thumbnails on the homepage etc… but I don’t want this image to appear at the top of the actual post as a featured image. Thanks.
Good day, is this theme has some kind of builder that allows to configure the home with drap and drop blocks? or to edit the home to my liking I have to use advanced programming always?
Hello! The Ghost platform itself does not currently support drag-and-drop builders or block configuration. To customize the homepage or other parts of the theme to your liking, you would need to modify the theme files directly, which requires some programming knowledge. I see there is offer for 6 months support + 12 months support, if I purchase the 6 months support, will I be able to add “support package” later on? Also will I still receive updates for the theme for Ghost 6.0 etc if I am out of the support time?

Hi, I’m used to wordpress child themes for making changes. As far as I understand this is not an option in Ghost. Although this theme is nearly perfect as it is. What’s the best course of action regarding making changes to the code and theme updates? Should I simply comment changes and then after updating the theme, go and add my code changes again? ok no need for an answer, I’ve read the documents on your website and it is clear that I have to rewrite every custom code I added.
If I have already added content and now want to make changes to the footer through the code change as that is the only option you have provided, will I have to redo the changes/content on the site? There are multiple very basic changes for which users need to unzip, find the exact code, make changes, zip it back and then upload again. This is high degree of inconvenience and can easily be managed through options within theme.
Hi! The changes you make in Ghost Admin are saved in the database, so you won’t lose anything by uploading the theme with your changes (it must, however, have the same zip name as the previous one).
I also understand that making changes in the theme can be inconvenient. However, please note that the number of custom settings in the theme is limited to 15 – the theme already utilizes all available settings (recently, Ghost increased the limit to 20 settings). But Ghost is planning to release Ghost v6, and as a theme creator, I need to have some ‘margin’ to be prepared for new options. Currently, I can’t transfer minor settings to custom settings because I don’t know what Ghost v6 will bring.
Also I’m not sure what settings you’re referring to, and whether it would even be possible to transfer them to custom settings. However, I always strive to find a compromise between additional theme options and Ghost capabilities.

The same functionality applies in the Basho theme. You can see it on the demo site, where there are 3 items in the header followed by a dropdown list.

The documentation indicates how to add a new column, manage the title for the column, and change the number of items in the column. However, if you’re having trouble with this process, I’m happy to assist you.

Ghost provides support only for Twitter and Facebook, but the theme allows you to add over 180 other icons, so there are no limitations in this regard.

The default link for this button is /signup/. If you want to change this address, you need to follow the instructions provided in the theme documentation under ‘Members >> Login panel’.

Both of these services offer free plans, which may be sufficient in your case.
