Would it be possible to add ads via google or something? We want to place ads on our blog and have never done that before, so we were wondering if your theme allows that. Thank you!

Hello, yes this theme has search capability as you can see in the demo. Highlight js is used for syntax highlighting. There is no need to mention the language. It automatically detect it.
Does this include support for custom excerpts?
this theme don’t show excerpt in post listing, it shows first 50 words of the actual post content. If you want to show excerpt, then open “loop.hbs” file located in partials folder, you will find `{{content words=”50”}}` in that file. Replace that line with `{{excerpt}}`. It will show custom excerpt.
