Maybe I can appeal directly to folks who have purchased this “Hunter” to reply to this question by posting links to Hunter-based sites they’re proud of. We can all learn from the experience, creativity, insights, and mistakes of others.
If a customer wishes to post their site, they are certainly most welcome. Ask yourself though, when you buy a TV for example, do you hang around the store for weeks or months afterwards?

Is there a plugin to create an overlay guide at the beginning of the home page…to show what to click etc.? Just wondering…
I’ve seen something like that on a few sites but haven’t stumbled on anything like that as a plugin.

By default, pages are not included in search results. If you have a page-only site, then remove the code below ”// Exclude pages from search results” (in functions.php)

no matter what I do the menu will not change…I can try a new menu name and it states conflict yet it the new one…it will not take the shortcodes…
Why are you entering shortcodes into the menu? And how are you trying to change the menu? Please be specific. Are you still attempting to place ads there?
I actually followed your direction..there is a code to place so that icons display however my wordpress install is bugged. I cannot change my menu name and my editor in appearance is gone…don’t know if it the host or what…not placing ad in spot.
Sounds like you may not have high enough permissions. Some hosts I think disable access to the editor in WordPress in order to cut down support requests when people accidentally make a change and mess something up.
I’ve just sent you a version of the theme with the horizontal menu placement change made though; just install it and you’re good to go.
Not sure how your insallation limitation applies to the menu though. The CSS Classes field in the menu builder is the only thing you need to customize the Hunter menu, so make sure CSS Classes are enabled (when on the menu building page, open the Screen Options tab in the top-right corner). If those options aren’t there, then I’d say contact your host and ask why they’re not.

A HTML version of what, the theme? Yes, but it’ll be of no use in a WordPress environment and you’d have to have certain know-how to use it.
I do…I kind of prefer the html version honestly…

No, that’s a menu item. It’s just made to look different than the other ones (details in the doc).

No, that is a menu item. Can’t place ads there. You can link it anywhere you want however.
Is it simple to place a search icon in the search area an can the header remain locked throughout? I’m really liking the possibilities…
No option for a fixed header in this one. But there is a search icon (when the icon font was updated, looks like I missed updating the search form. You can see it on the demo site now, I’m submitting an update right now).

Horizontal mode? On larger resolutions, menu menu goes to the right hand side.

I want to have a footer on all webpages, (not just on the Homepage.) So asked Bonfire how I could do this by e-mail.
Within 3 minutes I got the answer:
In footer.php:
- below "<!-- BEGIN WIDGETS -->", remove "<?php if(is_home() || is_front_page() ) { ?>"
- and then just above "<!-- END WIDGETS -->", remove "<?php } ?>"

Hey mate. That is correct, you don’t need to move over the contact form to the child theme. Just change the e-mail address as instructed in the documentation and you’re all good to go.

so far I’m loving this theme but I have to questions regarding the gallery…
1) Why are my thumbnails low-quality on the desktop? Is there a setting I need to adjust?
2) Is there something special I need to do so I can zoom in/out on the actual photo itself? And is there a way I can tap on the screen to get rid of the navigation bar on the bottom so you could see the whole photo without a opaque nav bar?

1) Try setting a larger thumbnail size in your WordPress media options (Settings > Media) and then use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to regenerate your thumbnails.
2) You can double-click or double-tap to zoom (pinch-to-zoom should work once the PhotoSwipe developers release an update). And yeah, hiding the toolbar with a single tap is possible. Shoot me an email for that.
