how can i translate the theme? ive downloaded loco translate and i still have several major issues with translation. for an example the “all projects” and “view portfolio” in: http://ideas.imaginem.co/portfolio/ajax-column-4/

The xml file is for WPML translator plugin. If Loco translate doesn’t support xml based string translation then theme options fields can’t be translated that way. In this case you’ll need make some file edits for loco translator to translate them.

so you’re telling me i cant translate these 2 strings “all projects” and “view portfolio” without using WPML plugin?

ive translated almost everything with loco translate. thats totaly weird i cant translate these two – and i’m sure ill find some more…

can you give me a link for a prefered WPML plugin? please help!

HI, I think you’ve misunderstood our answer.

We support WPML for multilingual translations. Free translation plugins are often limited with some capabilities where you will need to adjust in order for those plugins to translate string based fields.

So you can translate with loco translator, but if loco doesn’t support translation of theme options strings like WPML does then you’ll need to change it in file so that loco can translate those fields.
