Hi, I’m modifying the contact form to be a modal pop-up and would like to submit the form via jquery ajax… how do I do that while retaining the built in validation instead of rewriting my own?
site is here: http://eadu.xenitude.com/ Click “contact us” on the slider and the modal form should come up. It’s from the contact page. It’s not working yet but the validation is not enabled once I attach the .click(function) to the submit button.
Hi, Thanks a lot for your interest. I will be really happy to assist you. Unfortunately, any types of customization of the original template is beyond the support scope. We are always here to assist you if you found any bug on our original offered template here.
But your issue is really interesting and I was able to look at your code (the submit jQuery ajax function code you have written). Please note that, the form validation should be done on the submit event of the form and not on the ‘click’ event. Here is a working code for your particular scenario (I just have rewritten some of your codes on the ajax function). Hope this will help
Thank you.

Thanks for the help and fast response!
In the default contact page, which code does the validation? I noticed the contact sends the page to sendmail.php but there is some validation done before – can I check where that code is?
Sure. It is the HTML5 input tag validation which is enabled by giving the ‘required’ attribute to the tags. Please check the following screenshot to better understand the code: https://www.dropbox.com/s/naxlqgrwy289nwa/form-validation.jpg?dl=0. Thank you.
Hello, The background image for the page title darkens but I can’t find anything in the style.css file under .page-title to adjust filter or opacity. I’d like my background images to appear as intended and not darkened. Please can you tell me how to change or remove the opacity? Thank you in advance.
Hi MisterOrbiter,
Thank you for purchasing this template. The black overlay at page title area is introduced to improve the readability of the text. You will get the CSS rules inside style.css file at line number 423. But instead of direct modifying that, we recommend, please follow the instructions here https://themeitems.com/template/ionize-doc/ (click on ‘Modify/Edit CSS’ from left sidebar). Once you created the ‘modifications.css’ file as per the instructions there, place this code inside modifications.css file and save.
.page-title::before { background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.10); /* or whatever value you like for example transparent etc..*/ }
Thanks again.
Thank you so much!
It doesn’t work for me for some reason. It says “The document you are looking for may have been removed or re-named.” Could you fix it please?
Issue should be solved. Can you please check now? Thank you for your interest
