It’s a nice theme but it took me ages to debug the following 2 issues:
- The `exclude: [‘README.md’]` line in `_config.yml` doesn’t work with the latest Jekyll and needs to be removed. - Bootstrap’s `vendor/` directory was missing due to the `vendor/` exclude in `.gitignore`. Add the latest `vendor/_rfs.scss` from Bootstrap to `_sass/bootstrap/` and replace `vendor/` in `.gitignore` with `vendor/bundle/`.

Hey, I’m sorry you had some minor issues installing the theme.
The theme is not listed as being compatible with Jekyll 4.0 just yet, so if you want to upgrade it to 4.0 you will likely need to make some minor changes (sounds like you needed to exclude the README.md so thats not a big deal)
I checked the .gitignore file and it does not exclude `vendor` – I’m not sure how this happened, perhaps it is something Theme Forest add’s it?
The theme ships with Bootstrap 4.3 SCSS, all the files are included. Some of the scss files are commented out in the `style.scss` (this is to keep filesize as low as possible) if you want to include more of the bootstrap library you can just uncomment the imports.

Again I’m sorry you had some issues, but they sound like regular development issues with upgrading and modifying the theme. Static site themes do require some HTML/CSS/JS knowledge if you wish to customise them and it sounds like you were able to do so.
