Yes if you made change theme core theme code. It will be removed when you updated theme. I would recommend you to create a child theme and backup your code change files to child them.
So it won’t be removed when you updated theme.

Thank you for getting back to me. The image is ok on mobile but doesn’t translate well on computer screens.. it’s too zoomed in and pixilated (yes I’ve adjusted image size countless times) and the saturation is significantly lower making the images appear dull. The link is http://baudelique.com/

The main slider has fullwidth layout so it will adjust image to fill (cover) slide space which can be vary since every users have different screen resolution.
So basically there is no universal image size to make it cover fullwidth spacing area without cropping or zooming image. This is normal for every website.
Yes I’m aware of all you mentioned.. fullwidth layout/different screens BUT when I upload any photo (regardless of size) it doesn’t adjust the image to fit. The main slider is zooming in to a particular part of the image and distorting it causing it to be quite pixelated. The template suggests 2000×2000 px but that doesn’t work either. ??
It couldn’t adjusted image to fit without zooming for reasons I mentioned above. This is normal for fullwidth background image element.
Ok, so what do you suggest that I do so that when I upload on the ‘featured image’ it isn’t pixelated? Thanks.
What’s screen resolution you have the issue please?
In pixels I’ve tried 2000×2000, 6000×4000, 1200×600, 1766×768…
Technically if you are using HD screen with 2000+ pixels resolution. You will need 2x image size for example 4000 pixels to make it crystal clear.
But it’s unnecessary to do that because it will reduce your site loading speed significantly and most people won’t notice the different in your image sharpness.
There are very few people open website with 2000 pixels even they are using widescreen monitor. It’s using most part of screen and it doesn’t improve experience viewing website.

Hi! I tried to update Let’s Blog Theme at a site where I implemented a child theme with some necessary custom layout changes. But updating failes with the error header.php not found. Of course header.php is there! Any knows changes that can cause this behaviour? Thanks for hints! Best regards nici-

2. You have to add each the same number of post excerpt character length.
