Hey Segen, i’m having problems placing my own video in the video player of the home page. Can you help me out with some instructions.
Make this a Wordpress theme and start making millions, dude!
Hi Can the product title change with each new image in the slider?
No instructions or info RE the video functionality?
jigowatt; I believe you are misunderstanding what I am referring to. What took forever was trying to figure out you never actually styled the logo besides the h2 tag, which is wrapped around the logo.
So it is your code, very complex CSS for such a simple design. The css architecture may offer flexibility but, not easily.
The code there shows an extra style for the logo named “logo”. Which is know where to be found, which is what I was searching for, which was the issue. You then have h2 around it, which doesn’t directly modify the logo as it is a site wide identifier.
So anyway, I agree on it’s flexibility but, I do not agree on speed of change. After you understand the architecture, then it is easy to work with. But again, it is not really something that should be in a template sales area unless well documented.
Is there anywhere this temp can be viewed live or with full functionality?
This is a great template. I urge anyone who is discouraged by a couple of the comments here to stop being discouraged. This code is a piece of cake to navigate. I haven’t worked with Blueprint before, but picked it up quickly.
Great job, Jigowatt.
I like it, sooo clean)
I’m uploading an update to this template now. We have fixed all of the issues mentioned in this page and I’ve tested extensively in IE6 (Win XP) and found no problems. If anyone with IE6 issues would be kind enough to email us some screenshots (james.koster@jigowatt.co.uk) I will try to assist you from there as it must be something you are adding to the template causing the breakage.
We will be releasing an update to this template today which will fix all of the bugs described in the comments.
cool design…just what i wanted.. waiting for an update with issues fixed. 1st thing I do after buying a theme is to replace logo. So If theres a problem with logo placement I need to think twice b4 buying it.
There is no problem with logo replacement what-so-ever, you will simply need to remove the current logo and replace it with an image of your own. Or even just change the text if you like the current style.
Take a look at the live demo source code and you’ll be able to see the code used for the logo – no different to most of the other templates you’ll find here at ThemeForest
jigowatt; The corners are not an issue nor are the images. I have developed my own and purchased some very complex templates. This one trumps those by far.
There are so many files to accomplish very few things. There is also several compatibility issues I have ran into.
One thing I would like to point out is the logo. You have 2 styles applied to it, span-7 and logo. However there is no logo class anywhere. So I searched every file there and found nothing. I then decided to look for span-7, well that yielded nothing to a text style. Well then I hunted down the h2 identifier in the css, which I found and was not able to directly change the logo. So, after hunting for about 45 minutes, I was unable to do anything without just getting rid of the h2 tag.
So, that is the complexity I am talking about. I hope you see what I mean by a hassle. After getting it figured out how you have everything setup, I gave up on it as it was wasting my time.
Still a thumbs up though on the look.
I’m surprised it took you 45 minutes to find the style for the logo in the header. You say that the h2 style does not directly affect the logo which isn’t true, and it should only take 1-2 minutes maximum to find that selector. The span-7 class is called from the BluePrint stylesheet which defines the width of the element and is used through the rest of the template… anything with these classes (span-1, span-2 etc) are for layout purposes ONLY . The reason we build our templates with BluePrint is that it offers great flexibility and while it may seem complex to begin with it will really aid you in creating additional pages and page styles as the site expands. Perhaps this should be more clearly stated in the readme – we will attend to this.
We are aware of the javascript issues and will be uploading an update today.
Finally, we tested extensively in IE6 and didn’t find any errors (as you know ThemeForest don’t accept templates which don’t work in IE6 ) so I’m not sure if it’s something you’ve added or if something has gone wrong in the upload. We will check this out too.
Hi – good looking template (which I bought) – perfect for us. However, we’ve run into a number of issues with the files we downloaded. First off, it doesn’t work in IE correctly especially IE 6 (it says compatible on the sidebar), and it’s missing several files that the design is calling for – flash player, javascript etc.
Is there an update? I just purchased a couple of days ago and have now found these issues once we started manipulating the files.
Thanks James
zman89; thanks for you comment. I’m sorry but a little surprised that you had trouble changing anything in the template, we purposely made this a simple template using as few images as possible (all of the rounded corners are built with AJAX – no images) so would be interested to hear what parts you’ve had problems with.
If you get really stuck feel free to email us and we can provide you with basic support.
Looks good,
However a bit of hassle to change anything, even while reading the help file.
wiil be great some change and integrate in wordpress with a shoppingcart
infuzed, dwhitmore,
Thanks for viewing our new theme and your comments, rest assured this issue in the Live Preview has now been fixed.
An explanation for the tech guys, the issue was due to Javascript ‘page encryption’ which couldn’t be rendered properly in ThemeForest’ iFrame based Preview using Internet Explorer.
The source files were of corse submitted with no encryption so this won’t be an issue for anyone purchasing the template.
Thanks again for spotting that! Feel free to view the Live Demo and our other similar products.
& ie8 too
