As for the page speed, it may have just been our hosting – sometimes things time out. I have attached a screenshot of our Google Analytics showing the average load times for all pivot demo pages. Notice that the blog pages are longest to load (window fully loaded) due to external sources in iFrames such as soundcloud, youtube etc. possibly taking some time to load in.

You can indeed use Variant offline on your boat Naturally things like twitter feeds, instagram feeds, youtube BG’s etc will require an internet connection to grab data but the rest will all function as per normal.

It looks like you’ve already purchased but the builder will produce standard HTML pages just like any normal template, so you could then augment these with relevant PHP to work in a CMS but naturally this would be your own customization

No, you can’t sell themes based on this template as that would constitute redistribution of the item. Each license permits use for one project only (such as a single site you might build for a client), and if end users are charged a fee to access the end product (such as using this template to build a paid online service, like a stock photo library) then an extended license is required.

The template is sold under the same terms as any other Themeforest item. The template itself may not be resold as stock. The builder is included to make assembling pages and content easy and is not for separate use or sale.

I haven’t used this personally but the builder exports standard HTML so any third party plugin will work as normal. Naturally you would add this after building in Variant

Yes it is a javascript app. You can export out of Variant to a .html file which you would then upload to your host in the standard way (via FTP etc)

I upload without mail or variant folders, but somehow they still upload? please help so that these do not upload for the client too

The license statement is included to satisfy the license requirements of some javascript code (jQuery plugins) that helps make Variant what it is. These are located in the variant/js folder.

The terms of each jQuery plugin are included in the header of those files in the Variant folder.

As stated in the header of Variant’s init.js, usage of Variant elsewhere is prohibited and any use of the product is governed by the Themeforest license.

To make a commercial page using Variant is fine. Using Variant to make a commercial product where users are charged for access requires extended license.

To use your licensed copy of Variant in a product that generates Pivot styled pages for sale or for a fee is not allowed as this is considered redistributing the item, and that is against the rules.
