Why is there only 1 image that can be used for the breadcrumb? I can’t have the same image on every page. That really does not make sense. In your documentation that comes with this version it says there is a button to turn this off, but I do not have such a button. How can you disable the breadcrumb and image?

Hi there, there are some issues with the theme, when I try to add ‘Elementor Popup’ or ‘Footer’, it will prompt this message
You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.

Hello,
On the Progery theme Home Page Template #3 you have a section with a video: Section wording: “Core Features: Surgery is a comprehen sive encyclopedia.”
But in Elementor it’s not possible to change the video that it opens. The video URL is hard-coded in one of the themes JS files:
/js/main.js => Lines 545 to 565
$(’.news-popup-video’).magnificPopup({ type: ‘iframe’, iframe: { markup: ‘ ’ + ‘ ’ + ’<iframe class=”mfp-iframe” frameborder=”0” allowfullscreen></iframe>’ + ‘ ’, patterns: { youtube: { index: ‘youtube.com/’, id: ‘v=’, src: ‘https://www.youtube.com/embed/nDh5UdU_cZM' }, }, srcAction: ‘iframe_src’, } });
Can you please make this work with Elementor as intended?

Hello,
I need to add some custom links & buttons to the Progery Theme header – actions that are not provided for already in the customizer.
I took a look at how or where in the Progery Theme code I could override header templates using my child theme, and I notice that the different headers are generated via functions like this:
function progery_header_style_1()
function progery_header_style_2()
function progery_header_style_3()
However they are not “pluggable” ( i.e. possible to override in the child theme ). I have the same issue with the slide-out panel – the customer wishes for me to add things there that cannot be added using the customizer.
May I please suggest that in a future update you consider allowing for a developer to more easily customize Header / Footer / Side-Panel logic?
WordPress Codex Reference: https://codex.wordpress.org/Pluggable_Functions/“For safety, it is best to always wrap your functions with if ( !function_exists() )”
Making ONLY this change to your theme would allow for developers like myself to add vastly robust customizations, without your having to significantly change the customizer options.

Hello,
In WordPress General Settings there is a place to set the options for how Permalinks work – globally throughout the entire site. As you know, these are considered “Global” or Meta-settings that all Themes and Plugins should respect.
Unfortunately… the Progery Theme Custom Post type for “Services” – does not correctly follow nor respect the WP Global Settings for Permalink Structure.
In Progery Theme, THIS is impossible:
/services/category/service-name/
But rather, only this happens: /ourservices/service-name/
I believe that this is a Coding Error in your theme, as all themes and plugins everywhere in the world are supposed to follow Standard WordPress base, core-settings. And Permalink Structure is not only one of the most import base settings for any WP Site, but also fundamental to good SEO – and worse yet – reproducing an old site’s entire Sitemap when rebuilding it anew.
I have sent you a Ticket asking you to address this BUG in your theme, and gone back and forth with your for WEEKS about this.
Your last reply: “This is a Customization Request that falls outside of Free Support”
But NO – this is NOT a customization request.
I am asking your FIX your Theme’s inherently broken code that ignore global WP Base Settings and WP Codex Requirements.
Why is it so hard to get you guys to just admit an error and fix it?
I am 2 months into a very large project rebuilding a Plastic Surgery Center website that has existed in one form or another for over 10 years.
Our Client CHOSE your theme because of it’s very nice design.
Now I have to report back to our client that 2 months of work are GONE and useless, because you REFUSE TO FIX YOUR THEME’S BROKEN CODE?
Sir, Are you correct? Your global setting will affect for post & page. But It will not affect on custom post type. Hope you will agree with it.
Of course Global Settings => Permalink Structure work correctly for Pages & Posts. But they DO NOT work correctly for “Services” custom post type. And they should – as this is a fundamental aspect of how WP works. And – usually in any Theme or Plugin this is literally1 line of code.
I have 80 procedures to copy from an old site to this new one. Now – I cannot use one of the most essential aspects of your theme.
Progery has a lovely design, look and feel. Very well done! But please can’t you at least make your theme’s custom post types work correctly according to globally recognized WP Codex funcationality?
The problem here is that now – I will have to build all of my client’s website procedures as standard pages. And then I not only cannot manage them in a single place using your Services Post type… but I will never be able to use any of the Services Presentation methods that are built into your theme.
I cannot create a carousel of procedures. I cannot create a grid of procedures using a query. I will have to build-by-hand every single part of Service or Procedures presentation – everywhere in the entire site – and forever update them manually by hand – all because you won’t just make your custom post type follow standard WP protocols.
It’s terribly frustrating to argue over what is universally known to be “Standard WP Functionality.”
But the worst thing is simply try and imagine… “WHY?” – why would you NOT want your theme to work correctly for all of your customers? Why would you purposely build a FLAW into your theme – and NOT want to correct it?
FYI: For now I have found a plugin that will hopefully allow me to edit all post-type permalinks.
But, Long term: it would be very good if you could please update your theme to allow for the services post type to follow the global settings set by the WordPress admin and global permalink settings.
Normally: In most other themes I’ve used there is an extra section in the Permalink Settings area that allows you to: 1. Define Custom Post Type Permalink Taxonomy Name ( i.e. Services, Procedures, etc… )
2. Define Custom Post Type Permalink Structure
Note: Just like WooCommerce does
Thank You
First of All, You did not find any theme where you will change global (post) Permalink, it will change all custom post types Permalink. It is not standalone. And most of the interesting point is, you can change it very easily by edit code slightly or using plugins. You will find many plugins for changing custom post type permalink. Thanks.
Hello, there a bug on scrolling on mobile on slide ?
Thank you Sir, It has fixed.
Hello ,
i have opened a ticket a few days ago regarding responsiveness of the slider in the theme. i have bought this theme a while ago and noticed the slider is not showing as it should be on different screens. I have tried to fix it myself but this its not something straight forward. Now i get answer from you support that i need to pay an additional fee of 20$ as this issue is considering as custom work for my website and its not related to your theme.
Im sorry but i don’t agree with this kind of support and i would really appreciate if you don’t charge me extra fee’s for work that is need to be inclusieve in your theme.
https://www.devsnews.com/wp/progery/ if you surf to this link and choose home page 1 as i did in my website and you check the responsiveness on different screens in inspect element you will clearly notice the slider it’s not responsiveness. ( it shows only a part of the slider ) HAs also nothing to do with the image , as you claim its due the chosen image.So please i kindly request you to fix this.
thank you
Sir, may be we failed to understand you the exactly issue. You want to display your image with visible all people faces. It was not responsive issue. Definitely it was custom works.
Hello,
I have changed the picture in the slider,
again it’s the image slider its not responsieve. You can only see a part of the slider in different screens . The slider should be mobile-friendly, meaning that your images needs to look great on any device or screen size and for all your clients who bought the theme. You need to provide a responsieve slider in your theme.
IT's NOT custom work.
Thank you.
