Hello,

I love Stack and its builder, but I have some presale questions.

I usually use wordpress but I have to build a site for a lot of concurrent traffic (maybe 150 visitors/sec. It´s a very tiny site, only text and a few images).

In WP I usually use Cache, AMP + Cloudflare.

Is there any advantage if I change to static site with Stack Template? I need to use Adsense blocks, install AMP and Google Analytics and I don´t know if it´s possible using your Page Builder.

Any cache system for static files??

BTW, have this template Schema or microdata implementation? (a must from SEO perspective)

Thanks. Regards :)

At this time, no stack does not have microdata etc. built in, however this can be added at each user’s discretion based on their own needs.

We handle a lot of traffic on our demo pages also, and find that our CDN (rackspace files) is more than capable of keeping up with demand. The beauty of static sites is that there is virtually no processing time by a server – so as fast as the files can be served, the user gets the page.

AMP is a very specific requirement and each AMP page would need to be catered for separately from the normal pages of your Stack site. Variant is a shortcut for putting together your desired page layout – and at this time there is no microdata, schema or AMP functions associated with Variant. From Variant, you get a perfectly formatted, valid HTML page which you can then mark up with all the necessary metadata required form schema and AMP.

Implementing AMP is up to you, we simply supply the design.

Check out Rackspace files as the performance is great and supports CDN and caching too.

Hi! How can “destroy” a notification after I triggered it? It would be useful an attribute data-autohide=”” what do you think?

Great thanks! :)

Hello again,

I can now confirm that this functionality has been added and will be live in Stack 1.2.2.

Thanks again for your feedback and for purchasing Stack!

Craig

Top! Thank you!

Hello,

Really like this product, it works very good!

But i’m in need for some help, basicly i’m using the masonry gallery filter to display some results on my website and i would like to be able to set a default filter other then ” All ” / ” * ”, i’ve tried in so many different ways, but can’t figure it how, must be really simple tought

So i will get the name of the filter i want by default via GET and want to use it as default filter to show only a limited amount of results.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, you may open a ticket and we’ll give you a solution for this, which is fairly simple. We are looking to implement this as a feature in the template in an upcoming release.

James

Hi there,

Just to follow-up on this, we have now included it as a feature and it will be available to use in Stack 1.2.2 – likely to come later this week.

Thanks again for your feedback!

James

Hi,

I’m using the RTL version of this theme, but I’ve noticed some proplems.

first of all, the direction name of class is incorrect, Example, I want a text to be at the right, <p class="text-right">Text</p> but the text will be at the left position. it’s confusing me :(

also, in the dropdown, the direction of the options in not working well, the direction move at right.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing!

In the RTL layout – the text rules are reflected, so you’d need to use text-left to achieve an opposing text alignment.

As for the dropdown – this did not appear in our testing, would you mind opening a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com with a link to your site so we can take a look and inspect first-hand?

Thanks, Craig

Hi,

I think the RTL layout should be corrected for the align position because the name gives you the opposite value. In case some developers want to work with me using the theme, I’m sure it will confuse them. Please consider fix this issue.

The dropdown will check for it again, I might miss something in my code.

Thank you :)

No worries Khaled,

I understand the confusion, the issue is that the original theme uses these text alignment classes to achieve its layout, and in the RTL version, the layout must be reflected, and hence the action for those classes must be reflected. I do understand that it is slightly counter-intuitive however, we’ll devise a workaround :)

Thanks again for purchasing!

Craig

Hi there,

Responded :)

Hey guys, love your work! Are you able to provide a list of the .less files that are updated as well in the changelog? This will make it so much easier than finding the differences and manually changing the less files. Cheers!

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing! and for the feedback, we’ll make a note of which LESS files change for future updates.

Cheers, Craig

Hey Folks,

We’ve just updated Stack to version 1.2. Some highlights of this release are:

- New radial progress elements (http://trystack.mediumra.re/elements-radials.html) - New calendar form dropdown element (http://trystack.mediumra.re/elements-form-elements.html) - New Home Construction layout (http://trystack.mediumra.re/home-construction.html)

and a number of other improvements – all changes can be found in the changelog in the item download and also in the item details page.

Thanks to everyone for continuing to help make Stack one of Themeforest’s highest selling items – the feedback has been fantastic, keep it coming!

Cheers,

Medium Rare

Hi nice work on this piece of art!

One question: Where can I buy some illustrations like the blue ones you used: http://trystack.mediumra.re/home-software-3.html

Hey there,

Thanks for purchasing!

Creative Market has tons of illustrations like this: https://creativemarket.com/search?q=flat+line&lm=1

Cheers,

Craig

Hi there, I am looking for more similar vectors like you used in Software 1,2,3 demos. Where can I purchase those and more like it?

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing Stack!

Creative Market has some great options: https://creativemarket.com/search/startup/illustrations/2?lm=1

Hi, I’m wondering if it’s possible to ‘clone’ a saved menu to use as a basis for modification? I have a menu set up exactly as I want it. Now I want to duplicate the whole thing, change the font colour on the copy so I then have a ‘light’ and ‘dark’ version (but still with a clear background), and apply it to other pages. Can I duplicate the whole menu or do I have to build it again from scratch just to get this variation? (Thanks for you help so far, the newbie support here is excellent.)

This is a good question. And one probably best handled outside Variant once you have exported your pages.

Changing the nav colour etc. is a matter of adjusting a class on the nav element – So I’d suggest keeping all your navs the same in Variant, then making the required (small) change on the pages that need it when you’ve left Variant.

Is this what you need? Feel free to open a ticket at http://mediumrare.ticksy.com and we can guide you on how to alter the nav class outside Variant.

James

Hi, I’ve read that you are doing a design overhaul… is at the organisational level (files) or graphic design? when will it be available?

thanks!

Hi there,

To be clear – Variant Page Builder is receiving a design overhaul in both UI and code. No ETA yet – we’re working hard on it as we speak however.

Thanks, Craig

HI! I’m having troubles with html export. Some blocks are not exported with my changes,... also, the nav and footer are not exporting well…

Hi there,

We’d like to investigate this in greater detail, Could you please open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com and let us know which blocks (the titles) that are causing the behaviour.

Thanks, James

Sure! Thanks!

Wonderful work, done right!

Thank you very much! :)

Hello I really loved stack template and i want to import stack html templates into variant builder is that possible ?

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing, glad you like Stack!

Currently – importing pure HTML into the builder is not possible. We’re working on this as a future-feature but we’re not quite there yet.

Thanks, Craig

Is there a calendar drop down block?

Hello,

Currently no, but this is a great suggestion. You’ll likely see it in a coming update :)

Stay tuned, Thanks, Craig

Hi there, I can now confirm that a date picking calendar dropdown will be a feature in the next release (1.2) available late this week.

Thanks again for your feedback, Craig

Hi, is there a way – other than looking in the final html and finding image file names – that I can use variant to swap pre-set images for my own? For some it is obvious eg the Accordion Image 1 block, when I hover over it an image icon comes up to tell me I can change that image, but for others eg Testimonial Slider 1, Page Title 3 BG, there’s no such functionality appearing and I can’t see a way to configure these with my own images.

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing Stack!

For background images, just click the cog in the top-right-hand corner of the section and you’ll see the section sidebar appear, from here you can switch out background images for your own.

Is this what you mean? If not let me know :)

Cheers,

Craig

Gotcha, thank you Craig. Ooh, and it even shows the image dimensions needed. Nice touch. :)

Hi, I made a support request three days ago. Several others came after mine and you answered. I need to use standard bootstrap pagination (https://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/bootstrap_pagination.asp). But when I put it on, it appears unformatted. The numbers appear one underneath the other and not on a continuous line due to boxes as in the bootstrap. Is there a solution to this problem?

Thank you!

Hi there,

Apologies – somehow your request must have slipped past. I have no responded to the ticket :)

Thanks, Craig

I can’t locate saved menus and footers – where should I be looking? (Stack+Variant)

Hi there,

Thanks for purchasing!

Once you have saved a menu or a footer it will appear in the ‘Navigation’ and ‘Footer’ dropdown in the page content tab (the same tab where you add blocks to the page). You’ll notice that saved navs and footers have a little red cross beside them as they are removable should you no longer need them.

Cheers, Craig

Thanks Craig, just a UX issue, found it. I was expecting to see header & footer in the same view as other blocks. :)

No worries Paddy – we’ve got a UI overhaul in the works which should clear up issues such as this!

Thanks again for confirming, Craig

Hello,

when i put recaptcha on my forms it goes well on my PC but on mobile version it appears to be above the Submit button, and it doesn’t allow me to insert text on the textboxes. Any way to use captcha inside forms?

Thank you!

At this time we have not included support for Google ReCaptcha but we do plan to do this in a future update. Please open a ticket at http://mediumrare.ticksy.com and I’ll be able to work with you on perfecting reCAPTCHA in your forms.

James

I see you mentioned there could be a WordPress powered version of this with VC. I too am looking for this on WordPress, it looks wonderful so far but would love basic woocommerce and wordpress integration here.

Thanks for the feedback – there is indeed a WordPress version currently in the polishing phase. Expect this in the coming weeks :)

Craig

Thanks Craig – really looking forward to this, hopefully it can be in 2 weeks and if you need an early paying tester justlet me know and il jump in as really looking for Stack and its landing page layouts in a WordPress CMS. Thanks again

Crossing fingers and toes that the WordPress version lands this week ;)
