Zephyr 1.6 uses different framework that was replaced 6 years ago so it might require some work to transfer all the content properly. Please move a copy of your live site to some staging server and update Zephyr there first, once everything is updates, move back to the live server.

Hey! Quick question: is there any way to add a search box for the Grid element? I like the filters and sorting options (Grid Filter, Grid Order), but is there no search (or Ajax search) to sort through the grid elements within the grid?

At the moment Grid element doesn’t support such AJAX searches. You can try using 3rd party solutions or you can hire a separate developer to implement this feature for you.

At the moment Breadcrumbs element doesn’t allow to remove certain links from the chain. If you’re familiar with CSS coding, you can hide these links with CSS code. Alternatively, you can hire a separate developer to implement this feature for you.

I have a small issue. I have a problem with the “Load more” button in Media Library in v7.15 of the theme. In the theme changelog I see the issue was fixed in v8.1 but I can’t upgrade because of other issues.

Hey, I really love this theme, but the new way of handling licenses is awefull. How am I supposed to test if everything is correct for anon users on my local machine, when the “Staging” License only allows the view of one page if you are not logged in? Other themes offer at least two activations with the same code, so you are able to work on Local and Prod with the same license. From my point of view, Zephyr should also allow for Local and Prod environments to use the same license without any downsides. Especially for workflows where the site is maintained locally and then deployed to production, this is essential. Best, Thomas

Zephyr also provides two type of licenses, the Development license has the limitation not to violate license policy so it’s the way things work. You can deactivate your Development license temporarily to test not logged in users, or activate Production license on your local server to get all the features.

We have Zephyr in a WP multiste.
Both main site and secondary site is the same web, but we decided to split it into two sites because site 1 is the blog and site 2 is the shop. We do not want to mix contents nor users. When activating theme we have got a message which warns to activate a license, but since both are the same website it makes no sense.

I am trying to decide between purchasing Zephyr or Impreza themes to develop my website.
1. What are the differences between the themes?
2. It is a custom designed site so I will not be using any of the demo sites. So I want to know which theme is easily customisable and light weight in terms of performance?
3. The theme also needs to support WooCommerce. Which theme has better support for WooCommerce?

2. They both works well and fast and easily customisable.
3. Both themes support WooCommerce right out of the box. So it’s a matter of taste. You can pick any. Zephyr is a bit cheaper at the moment.

How to Upgrade from version 2.2 to latest Zephyr version?
I deactivated my child theme and all plugins. Activated the Zephyr Parent theme. Made the update to 7.x and tried 8.1 too. Activated Upsolution Core Plugin. Reactivated all plugins. VC is up to date.
All my Visual Composer Content stopped working. No header and footer.
The is no migration notice whatsever after the update? I can remember that I updated a quite old Impreza theme and there a migration notice came up which updated all the site content and created the heasder and footer…

- Create a full site backup
- Make sure your server meets these requirements https://help.us-themes.com/zephyr/installation/requirements/
- Make sure you’re using the latest WordPress version
- Deactivate ALL plugins
- Activate main Zephyr theme if Child Theme was activated
- Update Zephyr according to this article https://help.us-themes.com/zephyr/installation/updates/
- Update all plugins
- Install the required UpSolution Core plugin
- Update website content
- Activate plugins, Child theme back, and check your site

As of the last update to the theme version 8.1, all sidebars on one of the sites I’ve licensed this theme are being displayed below the page content. Cannot figure out why. I created a support ticket already…

Yep, I replied there and closed the ticket. For anyone else having this issue, it was the CSS minify option in the caching plugin we’re using. Turning that off fixed the sidebar layout issue. We have always used CSS Minify with Zephyr, up to version 8.1, but apparently the theme no longer works well with that enabled.

Just wanted to leave a comment/suggestion. This theme is great. I currently have over 30 licenses and used it extensively. However, I think there is a potential market you could tap into.
1) Your header builder is the best header builder available. No other theme comes close.
2) Your styling of the elements covers everything and every plugin I can throw at it. The overall style is very clean and easy to design with.
What I would love to see is a version of this theme that is compatible with and optimized for Elementor. First you used WPBakery, which I personally ditched years ago because it is so inefficient. Now you have your own layout creator. Which looks good, but it also looks like a combination of Elementor and WPBakery.
If you have no intentions of ever building a theme that is compatible with Elementor, I think a stand-alone plugin of your header-builder would sell rapidly. I know I would buy it.
If you do neither, I will still use your theme because it really is a great theme.
