So this is hopefully going to save anyone else some trouble. I could not get this theme to work at first. I could not figure out what was going on.

Well I was trying to upload the theme through the zip file and you do not want to do that. When I imported it through the Envato wordpress plugin everything went smoothly.

Great theme now that I actually have it working. Do not install other plugins until you have imported the demo content to edit. Some plugins will interfere with this as I have found out.
