We are sorry to hear that you've got this impression. Usually demo import issues are related to weak resources and you can see our recommendations regarding those in this article - Recommended PHP Versions And Resources And How To Set Them.
Also, if you are perhaps using some cache plugin, please deactivate it. It's recommended that the cache plugin stays deactivated during demo import and while the site is still in the development stage.
On the off chance that you’ve waited for a while and the demo import didn’t finish properly, you can try importing via XML import.
