Existing users avoid the update to v2.7.6 having used the theme successfully for 2 years installing the update has destroyed the website. The updates rebuilt the site completely. Should never have been an update. Thank goodness for backups!

unfortunately, it wasn't possible to create such a massive update, which would follow the latest technical requirements without breaking the old version. The alternative was to abandon the theme, which wouldn't been beneficial for you either. Right now you have at least the choice whether to update or not.
That said, this breaking change happened more than three years ago, so this is only an issue for buyers who bought the theme very long ago.
