I have been using Total for years (8+) and even though the developer regularly adds new features and updates, I have never had a site crash due to a Theme update. This just goes to show the quality of QA and testing to ensure compatibility. Just another reason Total is my go-to theme. They care about putting out a quality product - not just numbers.
