Hi. I’m Billy. I’m a touring and session drummer based in Nashville, TN. Over the years, I’ve had the great opportunity to perform live and/or record with an amazing list of artists: Brett Young, Colbie Caillat, Andy Grammer, Katy Perry, Gavin DeGraw, Gone West, Brett Dennen, Mandy Moore, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Damien Rice, to list a few.

People often ask me, “How long have you been playing drums?” and my answer is simple, “I don’t have a memory of NOT playing drums!” Drums have always been a passion of mine and I’ve been blessed with the ability to do just that as my “job” for going on 15 years now. Having established a strong presence in the Minneapolis music scene, I moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to pursue a higher level of challenges in this music career I was building. Quickly immersing myself into the LA singer-songwriter scene of the mid 2000’s, I was fortunate enough to meet and create music with some of today’s greatest artists such as, Katy Perry, Andy Grammer, Brett Young, Jason Reeves, and Colbie Caillat – before the world had even heard of them! It was the experiences of playing countless shows in and around the LA area with various artists, and touring heavily with then Warner Bros artist, Jason Reeves, that helped me discover a love for creating unconventional setups, consisting of unconventional sounds. I love to explore and create unique sounds to enhance the music of those I am working with, both live and in the studio.

In 2014 I headed to Nashville for a change of pace and lifestyle and I have been working with Brett Young full time, ever since.
