Andrea De Paolis

My name is Andrea De Paolis , I live near Pavia in the south of Lombardy, Italy. I’ve always been attracted by the landscapes that surround me. Since I was a child I have lived in the country, I love the countryside , and I’m fond of mountains, the sense of peace that they communicate. I began to photograph out of a sense of curiosity only a few years ago, at first here and there without having in mind what I felt like, then over time I learned that photography starts with an idea that takes shape and that the secret is to slow down.

Photography is at odds with rush .

I love being able to have maximum control over the photos that I MAKE and Photoshop and Lightroom are the tools of the trade that allow me to be able to access in depth and in a practical way all the digital files coming out of my two DSLRs .

Why I want is to let people understand a part of my microcosm through the images portrayed in my photos.

Recently I approached portraits, to which I like to add a dreamy look, while trying to always adhere to the context in which they are shot.
