Ryakin Rip is a multi-talented producer, engineer, song writer, photographer and business owner.

He got his start on the streets of Philly back in the early 90s with a legendary underground live band, MOMSUG Dojo, and he have been going hard at it ever since. Ryakin studied, grew, and finessed his valuable and scene breaking skills under well known recording engineer, Pascal Volberg.

While working at Larry Gold’s world renowned recording studio in Philly he assisted on various projects with such hot names as Aaliyah, Rodney Jerkins, Maxi Priest, Kurupt, and other famous artists.

He then went on to join forces with another local rapper to form a politically charged hip hop duo. Ryakin produced beats, delivered his flow, mixed and mastered their first hit CD which became a raging success in the underground circuit. The success of the CD, lead the group to tour the US and Canada and share the stage with the likes of Dead Prez, KRS-One, Mos Def, Talib Kwali, and other of hip hop finest artists. After finally landing in Los Angeles Ryakin decided to build a recording studio in the sun shine state of Southern California. While continuing to record songs with his group Ryakin also started working with local and famous artist such as Brooke Valentine, Rhythm D., Deja The great, Grand Agent, Mocha B., Chris Youngblood, Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band. While promoting and Representing Philly in Hollywood Los Angeles Ryakin started to create a industry buzz which led him to establish working relationships with famous actors and recording artist in the entertainment industry.

His versatile style includes Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, Soul, Dance hall, Trip Hop and Dub Step. You can always tell a Ryakin Rip beat by the crisp and hard drum beats and pattern along with the classic Philly brand of warm baselines, soulful melodies and the in your face style mixing of the drums.

Ryakin Rip finally relocated back to Philadelphia via Los Angeles. He’s on a mission to discover and produce the next Michael Jackson, or Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin his heart is geared towards restoring and preserving Soul/R&B music “The only thing I want to do is make sure that future generations have the opportunity to experience and listen to real music, not this microwave junk that’s hot for 4 months than fades out and will never get played again. I’d rather do it the SADE way and make classic records that will last forever”.
