Dear Envato Authors, Through 6 years now on Envato I have seen some incredible work done and I for one applaud you. However, since the hay days of Flash, Envato has continued to decline in both authors quality of product and Envato customer service. They say it only takes one apple to spoil the bunch and unfortunately Envato has more than one bad Apple hanging from the tree. It has become very clear to me and others that Envato has forgot about the first rule of a business – Your customers.
I like many others, will no longer spend a single dollar on any Envato run sites. It’s to the point that numerous sites that are very creditable are even starting to make comments about the support here.http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/specific_search/envato http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Envato
Even Wikipedia has a section dedicated to how bad the support is.
“Customer Support The Envato network has a long history of complaints from customers. Ripoff Report is full of numerous complaints with the company. ”
Some of you will agree, some will not and that is to be expected.
For the authors out there who do provide quality works of art, I say thank you very much. Your work is highly appreciated. Unfortunately, the pool you swim in is tainted and as a customer I can no longer chance as if I am at a Vegas card table weather or not I will receive something of quality as advertised or not. It has become a 50/50 shot and I no longer like the odds.
Going forward…. I will start to seek out some of you who I and many others see as quality authors and if you have your own website, will buy direct from there if possible.
RIP Envato. We had some great times. Time to move on.
