Hello,
I just purchased and installed the kids life theme. The included says to install the DesignThemes Core Features Plugin as well as Responsive Styled Google Maps, ‘LayerSlider WP’ and ‘Revolution Slider. After the theme is installed there is no prompt to install these plugins. The plugins are also not in the downloaded package. How can I install these?

Yes! You can able to add. Kindly follow the process shown below:
1) Open the folder “Wp-content/themes/kidslife/images/sociable/ through FTP” and add an image for instagram. And keep the image name as “instagram.png”.
2) Add the hover image at “Wp-content/themes/kidslife/images/sociable/hover/ through FTP” and add an image for instagram. Keep the image name as “instagram.png”.
3) Open “Wp-content/lms/kidslife/style.css”, and add the line as shown in the attached screenshot.
4) That’s it. Now you’ll have the option of instagram in dashboard > Kidslife > General > Sociable.

See, that’s where I get stuck on step 2. I don’t have an ../hover directory (see here http://i.imgur.com/Xz8wR0v.png) and in the style.css I don’t seem to find the lines above the ones that I should add.

I purchased the Kids Life Theme a while back and totally awesome is what it is. For the mobile version of the site I would like to replace the polka dot background with a custom image. While doing that for the non-mobile version is easy. I have not been able to find the css for the mobile version that controls the background. Can you please direct me to the appropriate place to change this. Thanks,

Hi – I did change the image in the style.css as mentioned above and it only seems to work for the full version of the site. The mobile version still has the old image on it. Thoughts ?

Could I change all the backgrounds in everything? I have a customer that needs a Safari inspired art and I wonder if I could do it for the different parts like the header, the footer… etc.
I guess the parallax sliders are 100% customizable, so I could play with my own artwork right?

Thank you their is just one thing. On the header you can display an email address and telephone number. I would like to know if I could display 2 email addresses and 2 telephone numbers if possible.?? Thanks

2) Set the permalink structure into “Default” and save changes.

I have installed the kidslife theme and used the boxed layout. When I edit “full width section options”, the section displayed is not full width (stretched to the border of the box like the footer section) as shown on the live preview but constrained in a box. Does that have to do with my setting? Please help

I like to create the event page and when I click events, the following message appears:
“You have to install and activate the TheEventsCalendar plugin to use this module ..”
Does the event calender come with the theme or I need to install this plugin from somewhere? How do I install this plugin (if it comes together with the theme). It didn’t prompt to install this plugin. Please advise. Thanks!

2) Sorry, We have not tested our theme with an third plugins other than the plugins listed in the themeforest page. So we cannot guarantee for that plugin to work with our theme.
3) The events calendar does not comes with the theme. You need to install it separately. You can find it google.

Is there anyway it can be set to auto update or one click update via WP control panel.
I’m need to download theme and re-upload into WP at the moment and would rather do this all from WP.

Follow the below steps to update the theme.
i) Download the theme from themeforest page.
ii) If you have made any custom changes in the code, please take a backup of it.
iii) Overwrite the updated theme files to the older theme files. Update the custom change that you had already.
iv) go to wp-content/plugins/ through ftp
v) Remove the folder designthemes-core-features/ from wp-content/plugins/
vi) Then Login to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Install Plugins. Install the Designthemes Core Features plugin. Thats it. Now you are updated to the latest version.
Note: Just overwrite all the existing files if you get this message “location file already exists”

Firstly – it’s really nice theme – good job guys
theme needs small fixes.. translations missings in ‘dt_themes-default.po’- Page builders: tabs, ‘dt shrot code’ select button, all attributes like colors names etc…
- Widget areas names.
Some improvements have to be done:
1. Blog posts LIST page – images area loaded in fullsize, gallery type post loads all images in full size (try load 50-100 images per post) -> should be thumbs there and some limit (6 per post) to load page fast2. Page builder scroll to top, when click ‘Save’ - should stay in the same place.
3. Page builder saves data without clicking button save -> but does not save for website front-end page content (inconsistent data) – it’s confusing.
Some improvements would be nice to have:
4. Page builder should read pasted HTML (wordpress) code – actually, there are to copies of content (wordpress & page builder) – I can’t copy & paste code (I can create ‘sample layouts’ with page builder only).5. Page builder – it would be nice to have ‘back’/’rollBack’ button
6. Style Google Map: image in tooltip/box doesn’t shows.
