Each portfolio item can be set to be one of these types: Small Images, Small Slider, Big Images, Big Slider, Gallery and Custom type. All of these types but the last one feature a specific configuration as you can see on our demos – Portfolio attachments (images and videos) are placed in the main area of the post while the description (the actual content you’d enter) is on the sides or under the attachments. When enabling Visual Composer for portfolios and using Custom portfolio layout you can have your portfolios look as if they were single pages and have various layouts by using Visual Composer’s shortcodes.

Bodega features Visual Composer plugin with some of our own shortcodes added to it and some of the initial ones modified to improve the overall UX and match the design of our theme. Other Visual Composer’s shortcodes are disabled initially as they were not styled nor used by our theme but can be easily enabled in the PHP file. Please note that we’ve not tested our theme with any of the VC add-ons and therefore cannot guarantee for their compliance.

How to upgrade Bodega theme?
You can upgrade our theme by performing following steps:

1. Download latest All files & documentation file from ThemeForest (your Downloads page)

2. Extract it and locate bodega.zip

3. Extract bodega.zip and locate bodega folder

4. Copy/Replace the content of bodega folder to /wp-content/themes/bodega folder of your web site.

Using this method, none of existing content or settings will be lost.

How to upgrade Visual Composer plugin to latest version?
You can upgrade Visual Composer by performing following steps:

1. Please make sure main theme is activated while performing other steps

2. Go to Plugins page in your WordPress Dashboard, locate Visual Composer in the list, deactivate it and delete it

3. You will see message that required plugin is missing at the top of your WordPress Dashboard

4. Install the plugin and then activate it

If you want to do manual updgrade, you can locate Visual Composer plugin here: bodega.zip > bodega > plugins > js_composer.zip

Bodega comes with all its demos available for use. You can easily import any of them onto your site using our One-Click demo import functionality and have the same layout you see on our demo sites. However, please note that you can only have one demo imported at a time in order not to have the demo content duplicated. Our demos can serve as solid starting point in further development of your site. That being said, you can choose to import a whole demo, or just the content, or just the options from our demos if that’s what you’re going for.

We vary the number of shortcodes that get included into each theme to match the design and get the user experience to a higher level every time. However, if you choose to activate some of the other VC shortcodes such as Custom Headings, you can do so.
