“read more” for the translation of the text must follow this path: goblog/template-parts/post-formats/content.php

Hi

What do you want to ask? I didn’t get you.

Hello -

I purchased the goblog theme for my website, and overall it’s great! But some things are very different from most other Wordpress themes, and I am having trouble making some important modifications.

First, I am trying to add some html within the <head> tag of my posts. Which template is it in?

Also, on mobile devices, the header bar at the top is too big when the device is turned sideways. Could you please tell me where I can modify this?

Thanks

Hello

Thanks for purchasing the theme.

If you want to add scripts to head tag then you can simple go to Theme Options -> General Settings and insert you code in Header Code section. If you want to add it manually you can add it in header.php file but manual method is not recommended as you will lose the changes when you update the theme.

Header just shows logo on mobile devices. I don’t think that it is large. May I know your URL to check on your site and see if it is really large on your site?

Thanks

How can I make the Archive Page show post summaries instead of entire posts?

You can go to Theme Options -> Homepage -> Home Content and chose ‘Excerpt’

Is there a way to show Excerpt for Archive page only? I want full posts for Home page. Thank you.

Unfortunately currently it’s not possible. I’ll see the possibility in coming updates.

Thanks

Hi, I use your blog in combination with Visual Composer. When I use Visual Composer I can’t see the text on the ‘homepage’. It’s visible in the article self, but not on the first page.

You can see what i mean by checking my blog : www.flessinge.nl date : 31 mei and 18 mei. You can see the picture but no text. After clicking you can see the article in full.

Greetings,Edwin

When you click on Add New post a new page opens. Now on top right screen you will see “Screen Options” button. Clicking on that will reveal some options. Check on “Excerpt”. Now below post editor you can see a text box with title “Excerpt”.

Solved! Thank You.

Excerpt = Summary

Hi,

Just a heads up that the theme doesn’t respect the iPad in Landscape mode. There’s a bug in Safari where, despite Landscape mode being 1024, Safari says it’s 768 and as such, it causes issues. The fix is simple by adding this to the theme/child theme in the header.php: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,initial-scale=1,minimum-scale=1.0,maximum-scale=1.0" />

Hi

I checked this theme earlier in iPad and it looked fine but I can update it with this code as it is also fine. Thanks

Thanks for a great theme. I created a header image that fits perfectly for desktops but resizes and blocks out much of the design on mobile devices. Is there a way to specify a specific image for mobile devices?

Hi

May I know your blog URL to check the image and suggest you a solution?

Thanks

Thank you. It’s theMelMills.com.

You can choose Background Size property to cover and it will show whole image for mobile devices too.

Major issues with the plugin:

Only 3 layouts, not 7 Not responsive Slider functionality which is displayed in main content area only available as sidebar widget (requiring a shortcode support plugin to extend basic functionality promised in demo) Initial installation and activation of theme looked nothing like the demo (although you replied in a comment to another person that it should) Nowhere to configure colors, header, etc. (this had to be the shortest ‘customize’ menu I’ve ever seen on a theme I’ve paid for). I’m up against a client deadline so I’m gonna have to hack this to all heck to make it even support the functionality promised in the demo, suffice to say I’m extremely disappointed and will be asking for a full refund.

There is no theme options panel in my admin menu. Theme was installed per instructions.

Since I’m forced to use a plugin to support the slider appearing anywhere beyond the sidebar (despite the fact the slider displays within the main content area in your demo), the styling is not responding and the slider remains desktop size no matter what the viewport is.

If it helps, this is on a clean install of WordPress 4.2.2.

Are there specific plugin requirements for this theme, or any specific PHP configuration requirements?

Are you sure there is no Theme Options panel?

I need login access to your site to check it.

Theme doesn’t require any plugin to use the slider. All the settings for slider are in Theme Options. Slider is fully responsive. If it is not responsive for you, I need to screenshots from your end to verify it.

Theme works fine without any issue with latest version of WordPress. If you can give me login access, I can check it on your site.

Thanks

Hello,

Great theme, many thanks! There’s only one thing. The author info box won’t show beneath my blog posts. In Theme options -> Single post options the option is set on ‘Show’ but it won’t. Do you know what I need to do?

Thanks! Niels

Thanks for checking. The url is http://blog.advier.nl/

It is not working for some reason on your site. I can make changes and give you the updated files if you can message me from my profile. If it was not working here too then I could have released an immediate update.

ok thanks, I’ll send you a message from your profile

Hi bloom pixel, I need some help urgently when I enter to “Theme options” I can see the menus but I click everywhere and nothing happens, it just doesn’t respond, what should i do?, I think that it was that I haven’t updated the theme, then I updated it and I still got the same problem in “theme options” Help pls.

Hi

May I get the access to your site? Then I can check and see what is happening there.

Ok, I sent you en email

Your login details are not working. I need correct login details.

Hi,

I very much enjoying your GoBlog. Excellent work.

I’m having trouble with the header.

What settings do I need to do to mimic the one you have on your ‘live demo’ site when you initially open it.

I like that you have menu at the top – followed by an header image (specifically what pixel size is that image so I can insert it)

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with this so would appreciate your help – thank you.

It is an update for theme. Updated theme needs to replace all the files again. You will not lose your changes.

You can only lose changes if you edited the files of theme.

I’m afraid that despite the update – I’m still having exactly the same issue as before – the header zooms in and out…. I thought the update was meant to resolve this issue? Furthermore – for some reason whilst people are commenting on my blog I can’t visibly see the comments on my blog only on my dashboard… any ideas why? I have approved them all for posting and have been playing with he settings for posting to open it up. Many thanks in advance again

I didn’t made any changes to header slider for that update. I tried changing the header slider image as per your requirement but in that way height of image becomes too small on mobile resolutions and text can’t be seen. So it’s better to keep it as it is now. If you want it modified like your way you can get custom changes.

Regarding comments on your blog comments section has white background and white text color so they are not visible. I made changes and in next update comment box will match the blue color with your post area.

Thanks

Hello again, I wonder how I will reduce padding between header nav bar menu items. I’m trying to fit in more there. Thanks.

Hi

It is not possible to reduce the padding between nav bar menu items. There is already little padding between them.

Hi – Im having problems with facebook share.

The shared post is listing everything in order – date, author name, categories headline – even the word “share” and then content txt with same size font – but no image. Thats impossible to understand on the facebook page. Exampel: “29 april 2015 headline written by rune andersen category a category b share Content ,,,,,,”

How do I get rid of the first line of nonsens when sharing?

Hi – yes you had the meta data share issue 1 year ago – check the post from maja72 – at that time you answer “It shares the text as well but post meta is also shared. No update for this as yet. I will be fixing it ASAP.”

Hi

This problem was already fixed by adding Facebook Open Graph tags. I checked few articles on your site. Some are working fine like – http://www.metrikblog.dk/?p=44

But few are also sharing date. It’s strange thing.

Hi,

I’ve entered correct Envato Username and API Key in the Updates section in the theme options, but it looks like it doesn’t do auto update? My theme is still 1.3.2 when the latest theme should be 1.3.3. Did I miss anything? Could you please give me some help here. Thanks.

Victor

Hi

If you have entered the correct details then you will see the update notifications in dashboard. Automatic Updates here doesn’t mean that it will update the theme automatically, it means that it will automatically show you the updates in your dashboard without requiring you to manually check for updates.

You can go to Appearance -> Themes page and you will see the notification for update there.

Thanks

That makes sense. Thank you!

is there anyway to hide the page title from the body?

Post’s title or page title?

hi .. i want to remove the upper white box (directly under the header) from the theme. how can i do that?

it is here www.monem.tv the one with the labels home/home.

thank you

I think you are talking about Breadcrumbs. This can be disabled from Theme Options -> Single Post Options

thank you :)

Is there a changelog we can view for those with automatic upgrade?

Yes, you can view changelog on this page from where you purchased this theme – http://themeforest.net/item/goblog-responsive-wordpress-blog-theme/7216144/

One more thing, when I use the code <!––nextpage––>, it puts the page numbers at the bottom of the related posts. It’s almost invisible. Anyway to move it immediately after the end of the post so it’s obvious for visitors to click? Thanks.

Page numbers show below post content only and related posts are shown in separate box. What’s your URL? Let me check on your blog too.

I’d rather not post the link here. Is there any other way to get it across to you? Thanks.

You can message me from my profile

Hmm, I uploaded a comment but it seems to have disappeared. Posting it again. I never got to make the update to the theme a few months ago. Now, I want to make the update for the notification I received today and require a few clarifications. You last mentioned that I should install the theme again since the update doesn’t give me the option to enter envato details and API key (I didn’t update the theme for about a year after I bought it). Do I now just add the theme via the themes section and deactivate/delete the old one or something else? Kindly clarify. Thanks.

Hi

You can install it again in any way and you will not lose any theme options settings.

If you know how to use FTP then simply upload the files using FTP and replace old files.

If you can enter your envato details in Theme Options then you can easily update it from your dashboard.

Thanks

Thanks. I’ll do that.

HELP! As soon as I upgraded to your latest version of GoBlog that just got pushed out today (23 April 2015), I got the “white screen of death” only on my homepage that is set to show the 10 most recent posts in full. Can you think of anything; or is this a known bug? What are the classic things to try for this circumstance? Thanks.

http://www.focuspulling.com

I can access the admin panel, and I can access many other subpages of the site, such as http://www.focuspulling.com/blog/about. Some preliminary research suggests that there can be a memory overload caused by a complex theme, and it makes sense that it would be only happening on the front page that shows ten full posts, if that’s the issue. Another fact is that I just updated to the newest version of WordPress around that same time as applying your update today. What do you think? Just because one other person doesn’t have this symptom, doesn’t mean it’s impossible to trace to the theme.

UPDATE: I just went through that tedious process, that sometimes works, of manually de-activating each installed plug-in one-by-one, and I found my culprit: it’s Easy Social Share Buttons for WordPress. Going to try and revert back to the prior version that also just got updated and see if that works…

Let me know if that works.

Suddenly my blog is not looking right in explorer – but fine in chrome and FF. The top image and navigation bar is out of scale in expl. – some clipping occurs.

The blog posts are fine. This is a new problem – not seen before. I have regen. thumbnails with no effect. What to du? The adress is metrikblog.dk

I checked it in same version and it was appearing fine here.

I’ve personally checked it on 5 diff machines now and called around to friends – a 15 machines total. (Need the blog for launching tuesday, so its important (-; ) Its some laptops that cant manage the setup i win exp. . Dont know what to do about it.

Can you share a screenshot of it?
