I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY DISAPPOINTMENT WITH THIS THEME.
First of all, I decided to buy it because I liked the design, I believed it was more modern and, I expected you would give your attention on it, like you do on your other theme NewsPaper. After I bought it and started to configure it, I started to discover, time after time, that small details should be polished or solved. Recently I made a comment about its configuration layout, because some settings like its footer seems incomplete.
Exemple:- We can change the footer background color but not the text color.
- The same happens with the buttons. They are too small contrary of the most modern themes that are larger and use the outline. You advised me to do it, one by one, with CSS.
- Plugins like Visual Composer, which comes with the theme, does not follow the upgrades.
- I hope you modernize yours modules and blocks too.
I suggested those, little things above, for future upgrades and, you said that you would do it but, how we can see, your attention is on your best seller theme. So I would like to advise you to do like Avada, of ThemeFusion. They have only one theme and gave their attention totally on it. Please tell us if you will do the NewsMag theme (that I love) upgrades or not and when it will happen.

Both products are important for us and we are working on the next update for Newsmag. We have a lot of features on the list, we receive each day new suggestions and the list is growing up. We have to chose carefully which one are implemented next. The implementation is not an easy task, we have to take into account the design compatibility and the impact on performance.
We provided custom css or advises on how to modify the desired elements because it’s a quicker way to achieve the desired look for your site.
The latest version of Visual Composer will be included in the next update, we have to test each update to make sure that the plugin works fine with the theme.

The themes functionality and performance are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another, newspaper’s grid width is 1116px (1068px on content) while newsmag’s width is 1021px. Other differences are also appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other. We’re just released a major update for newspaper. Please check the new update and decide then. The choice depends on your needs.

Hello, I have a couple of issues.
1. I have some issues with the slider on mobile, it looks awful. 2. When the site is loading, looks like it’s not rendering fast enough, loads some stuff but it looks like it hasn’t loaded everything, after a couple of seconds finishes loading. 3. When I use PageSpeed Insights, I got a very low score, 57/100 on mobile and 81/100 on desktop. It gives me “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” and a list of files, also on the “Consider Fixing” part, tells me that I need to, Leverage browser caching (with a bunch of files that I can’t/know how to change expiry date), Optimize images, Minify JavaScript (That you specify over Here that if we use W3TC don’t do it, but I activate it and the score goes up.) 4. You told me over email that the error log that I sent doesn’t show any data that indicates that the theme is causing the high loads of process on my dedicated server, that my provider should check them out. well, I found that other people are asking the same thing on your forums, maybe you should notice that more. I think that as I see all the posts from those people (1 2) that the issue with VC, can you tell me when could I expect a easy fix, I saw the SHIM fix but seems everything but easy.

1. On what devices did you tested? please provide more details. I’ve checked the slider on my side and it seems fine.
2. Because the css and js are moved at the page bottom the html loads first then the other elements are loading.
3. Google is penalizing your score for having too many resources – http://screencast.com/t/BfcLtCAzUl – the only solution would be to reduce the number of plugins by removing the unnecessary ones or if this is not a solution just ignore this one.
The browser leverage cache cannot be set on google external elements (ads, etc). so google is penalizing your score for using it’s own stuff.
On or demo we use only the basic plugins and no adsense.
4. That is an issue which appears on some users and it occurs with the latest versions of Visual Composer, i could provide an older version of Visual Composer via email to makes some tests if you want. I’ve already reported this issue to them but no luck yet, i hope they will fix it in one of the next versions. We also develop the shim plugin which should provide an alternative until then.

1. I’ve checked your site and the slides seem to be displayed one on top of the other, i think the issue comes from a plugin conflict or js minification, try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer, disable the minification and check the page. If you use a CDN or an external cache disable it and check again. If it still doesn’t work please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com , paste a link to this conversation and provide wp-admin access so i can take a look.
2. If you use Speed Booster it is moved automatically. This may also be done by other speed optimization plugins.
4. Shim is simple to use, just set your page with Visual Composer, disable Visual Composer, enable Shim and see if the pages look fine. For now the plugin works only with the elements(blocks) added by us.

Hello, I really can’t disable my external cache, my site has a lot of traffic and I need the load balancers offered by that service. I asked you via email for an older VC version, and you haven’t answered. I know that you have a lot of requests but I don’t think almost a complete day should take to answer. I haven’t been able to install Speed Booster, haven’t found the instructions to it. I use iThemes Security and W3TC, both plugins are necessary to our site. If it only works with your blocks it wonk work for me because I also use Ultimate VC Addons

You need to disable it only for testing purpose, after you identify the cause you can enable it back. I suspect it’s the css or js minification which is causing your issue.

Note that the wordpress importer is buggy (it doesn’t include all data, it breaks the transfer and you have to upload the file several times until it says “done”, because of this you get multiple menus and you have to delete them all and reupload the xml to get one menu for each location) .

Hello, can you give me an indication when this theme will include Visual Composer 4.5? There’s a well established bug (I’ve seen many people post the exact issue I’m facing) in VC 4.2 with their link selector API which they have since fixed. Right now, none of my external or internal links are working… they show up as undefined for any VC elements. Can you please advise either when VC will be updated to 4.5 or an alternate fix to my issue?

Hi there, great looking theme and am ready to buy if I could check something. On mobile devices, images don’t load whilst scrolling, leaving the space empty until you stop scrolling. Is there a way to disable this function and have the images load as usual ready for the user to scroll through? Hope that makes sense. Many thanks!

On your social counter the Instagram followers are showing up as “0” but when you click, it still directs you to the right instagram page. This is happening with all the social counters on multiple pages. Any idea whats going on?

We plan to add more options on the post social share section in a future update and whatsapp is certainly on the list. For now i cannot provide an exact date for this implementation, we have a lot of features on the list and we have to take them one by one. Until then a quicker alternative would be to use a social plugin and replace the current share buttons.

Is there anyway to have a gallery that functions like a slideshow with ads and is fullscreen (for example the Voux theme: http://thevoux.fuelthemes.net/chrissy-teigen-emily-ratajkowski-have-a-sexy-off/ has a great example). I think that addition to the NewsMag theme would be stellar.

Im sorry but I don’t have any answers about that. the questions is about an 500 and 503 error that was giving me, I temporary fix that by using CloudFlare, the load on my server it’s beyond anything we’ve seen if I don’t have CloudFlare.
Since I’ve installed the theme on Tuesday the server load with out CloudFlare’s load balancing has been over 65, right now I can’t revert the theme change, I need to fix this ASAP.
