What frustrated me with this template is i still cant easily do what i want with this website.
Im creating a local magazine and i want to showcase a picture of the area around the header. Setting as a background means i lose most of the image behind boxes and content.
Im looking to make a home page that looks like this post.

It’s not readily apparent, but what are the newest changes to the theme? I checked the site demo and I can’t right away see anything new. Please do share. And are there going to be any additions of new blocks, new layouts for posts, new sliders coming to this theme?

Sorry for the confusion, i was talking about the update reported in 07 June, it was just a request from Envato and we had to upload the theme again without making any modifications.
Version 2.0 was released today (08-June) and it’s a real update.

Hi,
Do you refer to the author box? There’s no option for this in the theme, you can doit by modifying the post template files. You have to add a condition to display the post only on a specific category, or to check the post id and display it only on some (or exclude some and display it on the rest) or check the author and display only certain authors. The solution depends on what you want.
For minification you can try a plugin, unfortunately i cannot recommend one, i’ve made some tests in the past with – https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/ – but the results may depend on the plugins used. Play with it’s settings until you find the right combination. If it doesn’t work fine look for an alternative.

Hi there,
Beautiful theme. One issue I had was the Mega Menu System. If you enable it, Google+ grabs the first image from the mega menu instead of the post for post snippet. I did fix it by going to file td_module and removing from itemprop=”image” for menu items.
I am wondering if you are aware of this issue and whether what I did would cause problems with the theme. So far it looks to not have had any effect.

Yes, we’re investigating this and we will release a fix as soon as possible. It’s a strange bug on google side as it retrieves the first image on the page instead of getting the one which is set on the og meta.

Yes. It’s only on Google+ and not other sites. But no matter. What I did by removing that seem to work just fine. Of course, if your update fixes it, then it’s even better

We made a basic tests on multisite and it works fine, for more advanced functionality the theme code may require modifications or you may have to look for a plugins which brings the desired functionality. So recently I just started getting random issues on the website where I try to post a blog and it will just say “No Data Received” you know what might be wrong? Like the website is up and running perfectly fine but when i try to save draft, publish or preview it goes no data received

Check the error log for clues about this. I suspect it’s a server configuration issue and in this case you have to talk with your serve administrator. You can also search for discussions about this on web, ex – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/no-data-received

I’d like to use your theme in one section of my site but a different theme for a certain page (I have a plugin that allows this).
The other theme also uses visual composer.
However, the other theme does NOT come with blocks 7, 11 and 12.
Can you tell me how to isolate blocks 7,11 and 12 from your theme and use it in a different VC comparable one? Can I just copy a section of code or copy a directory from your theme to VC in the other theme? Perhaps the blocks are a 3rd party VC extension which I can buy and use in the other theme?

Hi,
Unfortunately it’s not an easy task, the blocks are integrated in the theme and they also come with custom css which is based on the theme grid structure. Each block uses a certain module (in some cases two modules), the files for modules and blocks are located in – http://screencast.com/t/IfgDfvH19 The css can be found inside the style.css file – http://screencast.com/t/tKu6SSskwgv
My suggestion is to hire a professional developer to help you with this task, if you don’t know any look for one on places like – http://studio.envato.com/ – We would have gladly made it for you but for the moment we cannot offer custom work, sorry for this.

Yes, it’s on testing phase, we will release it as soon as the tests are over. On 7 July we received a request from Envato to upload the theme again, we did it without making any modifications so that wasn’t really an update.

If you want two sidebars and a two columns content area you have to make modifications on the code which are not easy to make. I suggest that you hire a professional to help you with this task.

The theme doesn’t come with multiple width options, sorry. You have to modify the theme grid and make adjustments on all elements (modules, blocks) to adjust them for the newly set size. The theme css is located in style.css – http://screencast.com/t/F5fGJNt56fS

Mac Safari issue: I am having an issue with the content not being displayed in Safari. I am using the latest version of Safari (I am on a Macbook Pro).

If I open the same content on a Chrome browser it works fine. Is there an updated version of the theme, which may fix this issue?

I’ve been digging through this comment section and see tons of people trying to change image sizes but I’m not sure what they are referring to…
I am using blog & post template 11. My goal is to make the featured images on article display view (image left of post title) larger and more squared shape so it’s not cutting off my images and more viewable…
How and where would I go to fix this issue???
While I’m thinking of it before you respond with a you have to change the image height in code, how and where do I access these files? Can I change them through the wordpress dashboard in editor, or do I have to go into some type of files on my hosting provider?

The cutting is done due to aspect ratio differences, a solution may be to change the aspect ration of the thumb used on modules. You use module 11 on blog page and you want to change the thumb used on it. – http://screencast.com/t/vQdIBiihmL

Edited that exact thing in wordpress editor and nothing changed… I’m attempting to make the entire box bigger next to the article title, not just change the crop size. I’m not sure if that makes sense… So lets set cropping aside, I’m wanting the image next to the article title on module 11 to be a 250×250… How do I do that? Because changing the numbers in editor didn’t fix it.
Ok yea regen thumbs fixed that issue… but now my images run over the top of each other, so I guess I need to editor something else to fix this problem?

Some modules also require css modifications to adjust the module elements for the newly set thumb size.
