Hi Erik,
Awhile back, you helped me by customizing some bits of code to get my site to work the way I wanted, and I am still very grateful. Thank you!
I see that there is an updated version since I last updated, and I’m wondering if updating to the current version will overwrite the customizations you put in place for me.
For reference, my site is http://www.michaelamillswrites.com
Thanks again! Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi there,
No problem, i do my best to help if i’m able to
Can you tell me which version of the theme are you using at the moment? I’m afraid your reference link is broken or mistyped..
Cheers, Erik
Hmm. My link seems to be working fine right now, but my host has been doing a lot of maintenance, so maybe it was down.
It appears I am on version 1.2.0 (Like I said… kind of afraid to upgrade and lose the stuff you customized/fixed for me LOL)
Thank you!
Yeah it was a maintenance probably, now i was able to check your site.
You are right, unfortunately if you update the source files of the theme to the latest (1.3.1) version, every customization made will be gone…
Two thoughts on this:
1.) Is there any specific reason of why would you like to update? I mean – if you are ready with your site, and feel satisfied with the customizations made – i see no reason why you should update.
2.) If you really need to update and wouldn’t like to loose the customizations, try to upload the folder of the updated version (v1.3.1) near your existing theme folder at ../wp-content/themes/ so you can test it before overwriting the original theme folder.
Cheers, Erik
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
I have purchased this theme and am unable to install it in wordpress. Please let me know how to resolve this issue
Hi and thanks for your purchase! Please check this article: missing style.css issue. Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik, Just got this theme and wondered if there was an online tutorial on editing and customizing the theme?
Hello, thanks for your purchase! Sure, the online version is the same as the one included with the theme, but if you need it online for some reason, here you can find it: theme documentation. Cheers, Erik
Hi there I’d like to set up this theme so it looks and behaves like Demo 2. Could you tell me how please? Thanks Rob
Just found your instructions. All sorted
Hello Rob, thanks for your purchase. Great to hear that you have already managed to solve it
Let me know if you need further assistance. Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik. Two small questions.
1. Is there a way to create a menu link that takes me to a section of the homepage eg if I added ‘Sample chapter’ to my menu on wearetwinnedwith.com, could it take a visitor down the homepage to ‘Fancy a cheeky read?’
2. Can I change the background image of that section? It’s currently a default ocean shot. I’d like to add my own.
Cheers, Rob
Hey Rob,
1.) Sure, just create a Link Type menu item and use the following link as the URL value: http://wearetwinnedwith.com/#fancy-a-cheeky-readd
2.) Yes, connect to your host via FTP and just rewrite the original image with yours at the .../img/overlay_bg.png location (within your theme folder).
Nice site by the way, keep up good work!
Cheers, Erik
Hi there,
I am an author with multiple books, I am thinking of getting a your Flatbook WP theme.. http://demo.eriktailor.com/flatbook-wp/
Before I get your theme, I have some questions:
1) Is it easy to install?
2) How can I feature multiple books on the slider?
3) How can I install my getresponse optin HTML or javascript code in order to get opt-ins from my subscribers?
4) Are you any video tutorial to guide me how to use this theme?
5) What about featuring some contents of my books, is your theme able to help me do that?
That’s all for the moment.
Thanks.
Eddy
Hi Eddy,
1.) Yes it’s pretty easy, was designed to be easy to use for users with no experience in coding, every default feature is available from the wordpress admin dashboard.
2.) You can add as many slides as you wish in the main slider, with different books if you wish.
3.) Don’t know honestly, i have never tried it..
4.) The theme features a detailed, step by step user guide with screenshot images of the most important steps, you can check it here: FlatBook WP Documentation
5.) I’m not sure what do you mean by “featuring some contents”, but for example the Samples Section looks quite good for this purpose
Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik,
Thank you for your replies to questions #1, #2, #4.
My objective for getting this theme not only wants to sell more books, but also collect more email address when visitors opt-ins for free novels.
For Qn #3, what I meant is does your documentation teach me how to get my getresponse autoresponder code install so that I can get start getting opt-ins?
For Qn #5, what I meant by featuring more contents… is to feature the characters of the books, parts of the books, sample chapters of the multiple books, and etc… Does your theme able to do just that?
Thanks for answering.
Eddy
Also, Erik… am I able to install this plugin onto my site, https://wordpress.org/plugins/optin-forms/... this is my site…http://www.saraahsowell.com/
Hi Erik, before I order the Flatbook WP theme, how I can setup Getresponse.com opt-in HTML code onto this theme. Do you have a tutorial on this? Thanks.
Hi,
For Qn #3, what I meant is does your documentation teach me how to get my getresponse autoresponder code install so that I can get start getting opt-ins?
No, the documentation won’t teach you that – it’s not beyond the default functionalities of the theme.
For Qn #5, what I meant by featuring more contents… is to feature the characters of the books, parts of the books, sample chapters of the multiple books, and etc… Does your theme able to do just that?
You can see every different ready to use content sections in the live theme demo.
Regarding the plugin you asked for, i’m not able to support third party plugins – beside the plugin(s) included with the theme.
Flatbook supports Contact Form 7, which is the most popular and easy to use wordpress plugin for creating online forms (with autoresponder) in your theme.
Cheers, Erik
Hi, I just purchased this theme and want to load the demo content for the 02 version-orange version - instead of the teal version. Is that possible?
Thanks
Hello, thanks for your purchase! Sure it’s possible, but i will need your email address where i can send you the demo2 import files. Cheers, Erik
I’ve been trying to use a google maps plugin on my “locations page”. I’ve tried 6 different google map plugins and none of them work when placing them. The maps just show up blank, until the window is resized. Any clue to what is causing this or a way to fix it? Thanks in advance.
Hello and thanks for your purchase. Can you send me over your wordpress login details in email (via my themeforest profile’s contact form here), so i can check your backend?
Originally google map integration is not part of the default theme functionalities, but – if some javascript or css rule blocks the rendering of the map – i will fix it for you
Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik, Thanks for a beautiful theme. I was wondering if there’s any way of linking a “likes” display on the counter to the actual number of likes on my Facebook page? Thanks in advance!
- Nathan
Hi Nathan,
Thanks for your purchase and appreciation, i’m glad you like it! Unfortunately the counters section accepts only numeric values based on manual setup from the wordpress admin, not a dynamically changing value like facebook likes.
Cheers, Erik
Hey Erik!
LOVE the theme. It’s fantastic. I apologize if i’ve over looked this, but I’m having an issue with the theme customization updating on the live site.
The changes are saving and visible in the back end of my wordpress, but checking the front end (even in a new browser) none of the changes appear. Thought it could be a cache issue but I don’t think this is the case.
Any thoughts?
My site is thegratitudeworkbook.com
Hello and thanks for your purchase, i’m happy that you like it!
I don’t think this is something related to cache, but it’s pretty easy to exclude: just refresh your page with Ctrl + F5 – it will refresh your actual browser page with clearing the cookies and cache.
If that don’t solve it, can you tell me what changes have you done exactly – and what doesn’t change on the live site?
Cheers, Erik
Thanks for the quick response!
So, I cleared my Cache and was able to see the updates (YAY!) BUT then I went in and made another change, cleared cache again and it went BACK to the flatbook demo default settings.
I got bumped out of WP admin, so then I logged back in, refreshed my site preview and then was able to see my changes.
So basically, I think I can only see my changes when I’m logged into admin on the back end, and clear my cache.
The only changes that are registering is the secondary color scheme (when not logged into admin). weird!
This issue is similar to something I’ve experienced with the private pages and posts in WP, so maybe I accidently did something in the permissions?
It looks sooooo sleek when my changes are registering though! Thanks for making me look awesome!
Sounds strange, i can’t say what could be probably wrong without checking your backend..
If you send me your wordpress login details to me via email, i will check your backend to see what’s wrong there, how that sounds?
Cheers, Erik
Hey Erik!
That’d be awesome! Thanks so much for the great support.

Will you delete this comment after you get it?

Thanks for the login details, i just checked your backend and everything seems ok for the first look.. As i was logged in – i also opened your site in another browser using private browsing – and it was also good..
For example, your “Primary Color” is ”#5573cb” – and every title on your page is rendered with this color you chosen – so i’m afraid i still don’t get your point, please tell me more details.
Happy editing! Cheers, Erik
Hi-
How do I get the demo 2 as the template?
Hello and thanks for your purchase!
Please drop me an email from my themeforest account’s contact form here with this request, and i will send you the files
Cheers, Erik
I sent you a support email via your envato profile but have not heard back, so I will leave the same message here.
I am using your FlatBook theme for a client project and I am having an issue with the “Chapter Previews” section.
My client’s book contains 7 chapters and while the first 4 chapters display fine, the remaining 3 chapters display below the section boundary into the “call to action area”.
You can see the site URL in the email message that I sent to you yesterday.
I cannot see anything in the theme options panel that allows for me to correct this. I need all 7 chapters to appear in the chapter preview area.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello and thanks for your purchase! Sorry for the delay, i just replied to your email.
NOTE: For anyone who’d like to have more “Samples” in the scrollable tablet reader, please add this small fix to the bottom of your styles.css file to render properly:
/* Desktop size */
.tablet-mockup-bg { height: 500px; }
.tablet-mockup { margin-top: -48px; }
.selector h1 { margin-top: 40px; }
/* Laptop size */
@media (max-width: 959px) {
.tablet-mockup { margin-top: 59px; }
}
/* Tablet size */
@media (max-width: 758px) {
.tablet-mockup { margin-top: 460px; }
.selector h1 { margin-top: 70px; }
}
Cheers, Erik
How do I make the author page go full width? The page will only display my content on the left 2/3rds of the page. Would prefer it to be full page. Please advise. Thank you!
Hello and thanks for your purchase. It is full width (960px) by default, i assume you need to upload your author image in the recommended 260×310px size. Happy editing! Cheers, Erik
Thanks for your reply Erik. I went ahead and removed the author image completely, and the margin is still not full width on the text…it wraps about 3/4th the way across the page. I’m editing the page in the pages section of the site…am I doing it in the correct place? Appreciate your patience with my question. I can follow directions well, but am not that WP savvy…kind of a hunt and peck for me. Happy to admit it is probably a user error issue. If screenshots would help, let me know. Site isn’t live so I can’t send the URL.
Never mind, customizing flatbook in the basic ground doesn’t require coding skills at all, and i’m happy to help
You can send me the screenshot in email – but in most cases it’s not enough – because i can’t inspect the source code. My suggestion is to upload everything on your host and apply a coming soon plugin from the free wordpress plugin directory (if you don’t want to make it live for now) and send me your link in email – and i’ll check to see what’s happening there.
Cheers, Erik
I went ahead and just took the lock off. You can see the site here. http://www.kristiannwillis.com/
Haven’t finished configuring it and haven’t repointed our domain, but you can see the issue I’m having with the About the authors section. Thanks in advance for your advice!
I think i found out why it’s broken – have you uploaded the author image as a “featured image” at Pages > About Author? Please check it and get back to me if that was the problem. Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik -
So, that officially did work (as you can see). But, is it not possible to make it full width and just have the text wrap the image? I have two issues with the solution you provided: 1) I have two author images (but can only have 1 featured image) and 2) using a featured image overlaps the <lead> section of the author page. Should I maybe just do the author page as a custom page vs an author page and build it the way I want it?
On another note, I’ve updated the links in the navigation bar and they all work except for the reviews one. The review one follows exactly the same formate url/#page-title as the others but it isn’t working. I’ve double and triple checked that the page title and URL I put in there are accurate. Stumped as to why it isn’t working.
Thanks in advance for your feedback. – Stacey
Hi Stacey, here is what you need to do:
1.) Open up your template-about.php file from your theme files and delete or comment out line 27-29.
2.) Below, on line 31 change this:<div class="sixteen columns profile-info">to this:
<div class="sixteen columns profile-info">
3.) Save the file, and for now your authors section will be full width content
http://www.kristiannwillis.com#book-excerptsas the title of your “Samples” section is “Book Excerpts”, not “Reviews”.
Happy editing! Cheers, Erik
Thanks Erik! Got both of those solved thanks to your help (and now understand that the navigation links need to go to the section titles, not the permalinks for those pages).
I’m making rapid progress (and the site is looking good) but am now having some formatting issues with the bullet list on a new page I created. When I selected the bullet list from the visual editor when editing the page in WP, it wasn’t adding any visual bullet points at all. I did a search and figured out that if I add style=”list-style-type:disc” to the ul tag, it would add a bullet point, which it did. However, now I want those bullet points to be indented slightly and the line spacing to be slightly more than it is. Are you able to advise me on where/how to do this in the theme? The ordered list in question is on this page: [link removed per author request]
I’m having a similar formatting question for the table I’ve inserted on this page: [link removed] I want the text that is in the 2nd column of the table to be aligned to the middle (vs the top) and to have more line spacing between the lines.
Don’t know if you are able to advise me on these requests or not. Either way, appreciate your theme and the support you have provided. Thanks!
Thanks for your appreciations, and certainly i’m always trying to help if i’m able to
I’m afraid the links you gave are broken.. Please check them and submit the correct ones, and i will check them and find the proper solution or fix for your requests.
Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik -
We’ve been busy putting the site live, so the URL changed. Really liking the look of the new site…thank you for such a great theme: www.getuntethered.com.
My same questions above still exist. Here are the updated/live links: Ordered List Formatting: http://getuntethered.com/master-class Table Formatting: http://getuntethered.com/purchase
Thanks in advance!
Hi Stacey,
Ok, thanks for the update and your feedback, i’m really glad you like it!
Add the snippets below to the very bottom of your styles.css file:
List fix:
.su-list.su-list-style- li {margin: 0 0 20px 10px !important; }
Table fix:
.tablepress .column-2 { line-height: 20px !important; padding-top: 20px !important;}
Happy editing! Cheers, Erik
The table fix works fine (thank you), but I’m having difficulty with the list fix. I modified the 3rd number to be 5 to have a only 5 pixels between lines vs 20 (which I’m happy with) but when I try to increase the indent from 10 to anything (currently it is set for 50), it isn’t responding. Any advice?
Actually it’s just a css shorthand, you can do it like this:
.su-list.su-list-style- li {
margin-top: 0 !important;
margin-right: 0 !important;
margin-bottom: 20px !important;
margin-left: 10px !important;
}
Cheers, Erik
That did it Erik. Thank you so much…very happy!
Your welcome
Keep up good work! Cheers, Erik
hi, can this make multiple landing pages?
Hello! Sure, but only with multiple wordpress installions on your host, as it is a onepage theme basically. Cheers, Erik
cheers i might have to look at the html version
Okay, keep up!
Cheers, Erik
Embedding a youtube video on the slider works. However, the fullscreen mode does not work!
Hi, thanks for your purchase. The slider doesn’t feature a video embedding option… Anyway, if you drop me your site link i can take a look at it to see if there’s anything i can suggest
Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik The site’s URL is salesbird.io. However I deactivated the fullscreen function on the youtube video coz it’s currently under high traffic. But you can use Google Dev Tools to add allowfullscreen as attribute to the Youtube embedding iFrame.
Thanks.
Hi, i have just checked it on firefox and if i add the “allowfullscreen” attribute with firebug, the full screen toggle icon shows up and works just fine..
Maybe you have already solved it? Or it remains in only in webkit browsers?
Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik. I’m having an issue getting videos to play properly on Internet Explorer. Per information from comments, I edited the video template with the following settings:
<video width=”640” height=”360” id=”<?php the_ID(); ?>” preload=”none”> <source type=”video/youtube” src=”<?php echo $background = get_post_meta($post->ID, ‘fb_video_rew_link’, true); ?>” />
In Chrome the video runs perfectly, however, in Internet Explorer the full video is not showing in the video window nor will it work on mobile phones.
The URL I added to the Video Reviews is: https://youtu.be/uUuLRqG1q1Y .
What do I need to change to allow the vide to display on all browsers? Thanks in advance for your response.
Hi and thanks for your purchase. Can you tell me which version of internet explorer are you noticing this issue? Also, if it’s already online please give me your site link so i will be able to check it. Cheers, Erik
Internet Explorer 11 on Microsoft Surface Windows 8.1
the site is http://www.howtogrowdreadlocks.com
Sorry for the late reply, honestly i didn’t even have IE on my computer, but now i just downloaded IE11 to check on this issue. I found that if you embed the video manually via html and iframe, it works as expected.
1.) Open your template-videos.php file and delete or comment out the following code block (yours might be a bit different):
<?php query_posts('post_type=fb_video_rew'); ?>
<?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
<div class="eight columns">
<div class="video-review">
<video width="370" height="195" id="<?php the_ID(); ?>" preload="none">
<source type="video/youtube" src="<?php echo $background = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'fb_video_rew_link', true); ?>" />
</video>
<h2><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
<?php the_content(); ?>
</div>
</div>
<?php endwhile;?>
<?php //rewind_posts();
wp_reset_query();?>
2.) Add this snippet manually, just below the commented / deleted part from the first step:
<div class="sixteen columns" style="text-align: center;">
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/uUuLRqG1q1Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div>
Let me know how it worked out, sometimes IE could be a great pain in the head of developers
Cheers, Erik
Hello Eric,
I’ve just sent you an email and not sure which way of communication is better. As I said, I’m stuck in the step where I need to import a file. I’m missing the file “Extras/Import/flatbook-demo-content.xml”. I did not find it in the Downloads folder. How can I get it?
Hello and thanks for your purchase! Both ways of communication are enabled, depends on your preferences
The reason you don’t see that folder, is you downloaded only the “installable wordpress files” instead of “all files & documentation”..
Log in to your themeforest account, hover on your username and select “Downloads” from the dropdown menu, and near “FlatBook….” click on the green “Download” button and choose “All files & documentation” to get the whole package.
Cheers, Erik
Eric, I did that now, but I received an error “Stylesheet Missing”.
Then I’ve read the article you’ve suggested: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821510
I tried both types of uploads – directly in the wordpress and via FTP. Both options failed. There’s still an error “Stylesheet is missing”.
I’ve noticed that my wordpress version is 4.1.1 and you support the latest WordPress 4.0.
Can this be a problem? If so, how can I get the version for WordPress 4.1.1?
No way, ftp method always work.. I can’t tell what you did wrong because lack of details, but if that helps, i can offer you to send me over your wp and ftp login credentials in email, and i will set everything up for you in a couple of minutes. Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik, thank you for a great theme.
I just purchased one and I am almost finished with set up. But I have a few questions: 1) I have added the videos via youtube. On the website frontage appears also the blue text by the video picture: “Use left/right arrow keys to advance one second, Up/Down arrows to advance ten seconds.” Do not you know how to remove this text? 2) There is a button in the section of Overviews – “load more/show less” Where can I translate it? I found only where to translate “load more”. But after loading more the button is with the writing “show less” and after pressing it is visible button “load more” again – without already done translation. 3) Where can be translated the blog section: “The Blog” on the top of the page, “Type and hit enter” on the top right side, “by author, on date” under the headline of the post, “continue reading” under the post and “posted in” under the headline of the open post.
Thank you very much for your answer.
Have a nice day,
Filip
Hi Filip, thanks for your purchase and kind words, i’m happy that you like the theme and found the setup easy!
.mejs-offscreen { display: none !important; }
2.) You can rewrite it manually in your /js/custom.js file, on line 176:
$(this).text( 'show less' );3.) Open up your index.php file (from your theme files) and on line 4:
_e( 'The blog' , 'flatbook' )Next, in searchform.php file, on line 3:
_e( 'Type and hit enter...' , 'flatbook' )
And just do the same method with the rest of the words
Let me know how it worked out. Happy editing! Cheers, Erik
Hi,
When I click sign up with the contact form (which is integrated with mail chimp), I want the screen to scroll down so I can see the ‘email’ box.
Currently when I click ‘Sign up now’ – I have to scroll down to see the email box. This would be confusing for first time visitors.
Thanks
K
Hello, thanks for your purchase!
I’m afraid i don’t understand what you would like to achieve exactly..
Can you show me your site / or explain with a few more details please.
Happy editing! Cheers, Erik
Hello, Erik,
I just now purchased the theme, and am carefully following your steps for installing it as per the demo. I am currently on step #3.) Check the Download and import file attachments checkbox and hit send.
This is the message I received after completing that step:
[removed by author request]
Before I go any further, what is needed for these failure messages?
Thank you for your consideration.
Hello and thanks for your purchase!
No worries, these messages are usually generated if you tried to import the files for more than the first time (maybe if you started the importing process again for some reason).
A quick test – if you check your home page now – do you see the default flatbook Logo in your navbar? If yes, and everything seems to be fine (except the error notices you recieved) you can go on.
If you may have noticed errors in your frontend either (for example your logo is missing etc.), feel free to send me your wordpress login details via my themeforest profile’s contact form here, and i will check around to see what’s wrong in your backend.
Cheers, Erik
Thanks Erik. Yes, it is missing. I will send you log in. Best! Najma
Ok, looking forward for it! Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik, I’m sorry, I thought I changed it to administrator before. Done now!
Najma
No problem, i just fixed it for you
Cheers, Erik
Hello, Erik,
I have finished the setup through step six, as per the demo, and noticed it does not look like the demo (including no placeholder images). I noticed something in step 5.) Go to Appearance > Options Backup and copy-paste the content of flatbook-theme-options.txt from the Extras/Import folder within the main downloaded folder, and hit Import Theme Options
In step 5, after hitting “Import Theme Options” the box went from the random string of characters, to appearing blank. I did not know if this is normal, or if it means something did not take. Does this have something to do with the finished demo not appearing as yours does?
Thank you again for your attention. I am very excited to use this gorgeous theme.
Najma
Hi Erik,
Also, I have tried changing the appearance of the theme to include the flat book menu, but to no success.
Thank you, Najma
Hi Najma,
The mentioned “random strings of characters” is completely normal behaviour, it is the way how you can import the demo-theme-options.txt in your wordpress admin’s theme options area. It is required if you wish to have the same layout as in the demo.
Regarding your second note, i’m afraid i don’t understand what are you trying to say, can you tell me more specific details, to locate the issue?
Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik,
Thank you for your response. So if I understand you correctly, nothing went wrong in step five, it is completely normal for the random string of characters I pasted into the box to disappear after hitting “Import Theme Options.”
Re: my second note. Unless I misunderstand what it means to have my demo look like your demo, after completing the 6 set-up steps, my site does not look like your demo, according to the step 6 statement: “For now, if you refresh your site it should look like exactly as in the live theme demo but with placeholder images of course. Now you can start customizing your kickstarter demo site, i believe it’s the most easy way to achieve quick results. Happy editing!”
I refreshed, but my site looked like a 5 color bar page with no features in particular. I went to appearance/customize and in the navigation dropdown, it says, “Your theme supports 1 menu. Select which menu you would like to use. You can edit your menu content on the Menus screen in the Appearance section.” So, I changed “Top primary menu” from whatever it was previously to “Flatbook Menu”. I don’t know if that was necessary, but nonetheless, it did not change the appearance of the site.
I am confused about whether or not what my site looks like now is what I should have expected. If my demo should look like yours, I was asking myself why then the slider images and all the other demo features did not appear. I did attempt to upload some files for the slider, and noticed the background image appeared, but perhaps I am still missing something before I move on?
Thanks again!.
Najma
Hi Najma, i’m going to respond to your concerns one by one, to stay organized:
Thank you for your response. So if I understand you correctly, nothing went wrong in step five, it is completely normal for the random string of characters I pasted into the box to disappear after hitting “Import Theme Options.”
Correct, no worries. If you might be intrested, it is disappeared because it has been imported into your theme options successfully (just as the successful import message says above, when it’s done).
I haven’t checked your site now, but i assume you missed to set your “Front Page Display” to “Home” (instead of the default wordpress “Blog”) as mentioned in step 6 of the import demo content guide from in the docs.
Again, please go through the whole documentation before asking for support, every step of creating and using the menu of flatbook is detailed in the menus part of the documentation.
If you did everything right, your site will look exactly like the demo (with placeholder images of course). If you don’t mind a personal suggesstion: i know that you don’t have much experience with wordpress – and no problem with that – but you don’t need to ask after every step done, you can’t do anything wrong at this point.
Finally, if you may stucked somewhere when trying again, feel free to drop me your wordpress login details and site link in email (again, i lost in my mailbox), and i will import it for you. Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik,
Thank you for responding step by step. Actually, I have set up two word press website before with success.
So, I would not be asking for your support if I didn’t do all the things listed in the set-up. This is a pretty simple set of 6 instructions.
So, that is where this has become a little confusing or frustrating. Despite being meticulous in following all 6 instructions, my site still is not appearing as per the demo. I did not miss setting my “Front Page Display” to “Home” (instead of the default wordpress “Blog”) as you mention in step 6 of the import demo content guide from in the docs. In fact, I double checked it and saved it again, EXACTLY as the screenshot says. So, I am at a loss.
If you would take a look, I would appreciate it. [removed by author request]
Thanks again, Najma
Hi Erik,
It turns out there were two “Home” pages to select, for some reason. So I simply selected the other, and it seems to work. Since I inadvertently published the site, password and your email, I will be changing it for security.
Best, Najma
Hi Najma, thanks for noticing me about your success. Cheers, Erik
Hi Erik,
the scrolling to #pages simply doesn’t work and I don’t know why. I tried everything out that I could find regarding this subject in the comments.
Here is my site: [link removed per author request]
Thank you!
PS: Nevermind my previous question. Don’t need the demo02 content anymore!
It’s ok — I figured it out!
But is there a way to have it work, even if the page title is different?
Thanks Hugo
Hi Hugo, thanks for your purchase!
Ok, got it! Referring to your second question, i’m afraid it is not possible, as the target id-s of the anchor points are generated from the “Page Title” of each section. Cheers, Erik
