How do I create the Flickr gallery in the footer like the demo shows with square thumbnails?

I love the theme Quest – I love its flexibility and features and plan on using it to build my site. Unfortunately, my featured images are not sizing correctly (not on the front page and not on the posts themselves), and I cannot figure out why.

I’ve tried: Changing the thumbnail size in Settings—> Media Changing thumbnail size in Functions.php Scaling the of the image itself I’ve set both to the exact size of my image and still it blows up the image to an unknown size and blurs it.

Please help!

I have altered the code in functions.php as follows but it doesn’t work.

Hi Pirenko My website is online and looks realy good. Now the only thin is, that I am having problems with most of the internet explorer and mostly with IE 11. If you browse to: http://www.wissenpraxis.ch/member/daniel-hotz/ for example the arrows that bring you to the next team member are really big while they are nice in small in all other brothers. Please help me

If you’re like me and you want to use this theme to showcase your portfolio then just know that there’re a lot of glitches. Before you buy, do this: Go to http://www.munto.net/quest/lightbox-portfolio/ and click on “Trends”. This will filter the results to 7 images. Take note of the 7 images then click on one of the images to expand. Continuously click on the right arrow to advance to next image and you’ll notice it will show you projects that aren’t even on the page or in that category. This is something that’s happening on my site. It’s not right that if someone clicks on “web design” that they are getting results in lightbox for “print design”. The portfolio function in this theme is a mess. And I know this because I’ve checked with other themes and they are working just fine. In other themes filtering the results does not cause problems with lightbox. There are other glitches that cause this to fail. If you’re thinking about buying this theme for your portfolio, then move on. There are better portfolio themes for the same price.

And why does the portfolio have to add #prettyPhoto to end of the url? Because of this I cannot link someone to a specific project or category. Other themes simple have unique post id or permalinks. Also, every now and then the page glitches and I’m unable to click any links on the masonry layout. This happens on your demo site as well. I have to refresh the page to start over again. I hate this theme.

I don’t know why everybody is rating this theme so high because I’m noticing so many inconsistencies with your portfolio configuration, especially the lightbox version. When I click on a box to expand the image, it shows the right one but if I click the right arrows it starts showing me images that aren’t even on the page. It’s a mess!

I’m having so many issues with this theme. I regret ever buying it. The shortcode button keeps failing, the portfolio page is all screwed up, and everything loads so painfully slow. Buyers beware!!

Page is ready and it looks great! Very nice theme The only little thing I want to change is on the homepage, the teasered posts have a “Read More” button. I would like to translate the Text “Read More” within. I tried to find the Text to change everywhere, but didn´t find it. Not in the function.php, not in the *.po files and not even in the custom.php. Could you please write me where to change this button-text. Thanks an Cheers

The theme is great and I am almost finished with my new page, but still have a question about colors of links. I would like to have an own submenu to be in #0071ba and when mouseover in #bad532. And that should be for all links on other pages, no matter if the link is in a sidebar, in the footer or in normal bodytext. Could you please tell me how I fix this. I tried HTML within the section, but that didn´t do it. Thanks and

unfortunately there is another thing I cannot solve myself. I would like the textblogs, that are on my sectioned homepage, the threee services with the icon, to have a margin of about an inch like it is on the quest demo to the end of the page ion the right an left side. I cannot figure it out. I put the service shortcodes on center. If I change them to “left” the hjole layout breaks down

another question. How do I insert my own icon in the Shortcode, so the bpicture is on the same place as the icon provided by the theme. I would like to insert a png-File or other with the transparency given.

Hi Pirenko Quest is really nice and I am getting along fast and good. It would really appreciate it if you could send me the custum css code to enlarge the fot size of the menu. Looked all through, but didn´t find a similiar post. Thanks. Sascha

Hi Pirenko, when I move the site to a new hosting or URL the theme customization gets reset. I made database dumps, URL replacements, follow Wordpress migration docs, etc but still can’t do it. Is it a Quest feature? Is it possible to avoid the reset? TIA.

Thank you for creating a nice template!

I am having a few issues, when trying to create a new page, under the menu “page custom menu” it only shows header options.

It doesn’t show the full functional menu like on the video you have.
