Well I want to buy this theme but I wonder how it will look on my site. If you have no problem than can you share any links of sites which are using theme.

thankyou so much :) I will buy the theme :D

Bought the theme and will share the site link with you once site is ready. thanks for the beautiful theme :)

That’s really nice to hear, and I really hope you enjoy using it. Definitely share the URL! I love seeing how people end up using 15Zine :)

Hello,

Lovely Theme… I am the director of an online radio and TV. I wanted to know if this theme supports self hosted videos as well as the audio, because I couldn’t find it in the feature menu.

Is this theme WPML compatible?

how can I decrease the letter spacing for the headlines, it doesn’t look proper in farsi or arabic language.

Hey again,

I believe that is a podcast service that comes with a player, I think it might be podbean.com.

And I will fix the letter-spacing in the next update, but until then copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:

* { letter-spacing: 0!important; }

Should do the trick :)

I have the following error appearing on my homepage: Warning: include() [function.include]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/theurban/public_html/wp-content/themes/15zine/page-15zine-builder.php on line 175

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ’’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/theurban/public_html/wp-content/themes/15zine/page-15zine-builder.php on line 175

How do I make it go away?

Thank you!

Hi Danasiafantastic,

Thanks for choosing 15Zine. Those are strange errors! Did you by any chance move from Valenti to 15Zine? If so, that could be related, as the homepage builder in 15Zine is new (but has similarities), so you would simply need to re-create your homepage modules and it should all work as expected.

Hello fonts in this theme are latin extended characters supported ? Because in my country using utf – 8 code Thank you

and plus i need to translate date, month name on posts this is very important point for me ..

and plus i need to translate date, month name on posts this is very important point for me ..

Hey Guneycafer,

Thanks for the interest in 15Zine.

Yes, in the Theme Options -> Typography, you will find an option to enable/disable the loading of Latin Extended characters (you can also use Greek and Cyrillic charsets if needed).

And everything that is in English in the theme can be translated easily by using the .po translatable file. And the theme already has some languages included, what language are you after? If yours hasn’t been added yet, the translation instructions can be found in the theme documentation and the whole process shouldn’t take more than 10-15 minutes to do.

Hope this helps.

Hi cubel. How can i make my categories look like the featured image that i added to this post: http://travelinluxury.ro/index.php/2015/07/12/test/.

So i want the category name in the midle, after a short description. thiss in full width. After that i want to start a 2 collomns post area and in the right the sidebar. Also how can i make the sidebar color white, and show only thin borders to it?

Thanks in advance, George

Hi George,

That is a different design/layout/site, so you won’t be able to get 15Zine to look identical to that as 15Zine has it’s own design/layout. To get your posts in lines of two posts, edit your category, set to blog style B and insert a category description. And to change the sidebar, you could try copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:

.cb-body-light .cb-sidebar { border: 2px solid #161616;  background: #fff; }

Hope this helps.

I have a support ticket out to you I Need to Show post on page by Category, I have a page that I want to show posts by category on, I have used the builder template but it takes all the formatting out of the page I have created above. I sent you my login and password information on July 10th, hoping you have some news for me, I am at a stand still finishing the site. Thanks in advance!

Hi again,

Due to Envato’s API issues (They were getting attacked with DDoS attacks), the support system has been a bit shaky, as it relies on Envato’s API to verify everything. Envato’s servers seem to be running smoothly again, so the support system is running well again too. I have a lot of tickets to go through but I will do my best to get to yours!

For some reason the top Ad space on my website is not responsive. So when I look at my website on my iPad or iPhone it keeps the top ad at 728 by 90.

Hey Eli10,

Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it.

Where is the ad coming from? Is it an AdSense ad? If so, you need to follow these official steps from Google to make them responsive:

Hope this helps.

Hello friends,

Looking for a theme for the video site, the theme of you, just hesitate a post option of video format?

Thanks

Hey Bugrino,

Thanks for the interest in 15Zine :)

The theme does indeed use the video post format. The theme allows you to have two different styles for the video: Open in lightbox or replace featured image. Here are the post examples showing each:

Lightbox: http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/videogames/nintendo-wii/video-format-a/

Replace featured image: http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/fashion/video-format-b/

Hope this helps!

were can i find a role guide? a editor what are the activitities that can be done with this user role? or with a Author?

Hey again,

Themes are not allowed to modify WordPress core things like the user roles permissions (theme wouldn’t get approved on Themeforest), so the user roles are set to the default permissions. To change them you will need a plugin, here is one that might help: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/

How can one add articles/post to the right nav bar that are specific to their category. The “15zine Popular Posts Widget” allows you to show “popular” posts but these are based on ‘all’ posts. I don’t want to show popular posts that don’t relate to the category. Is there not a way to only show posts based on the category? Ideally the widget would have options to show top posts, new posts, random post, old posts or by ‘id’ for specific categories.

Hi again,

15Zine can show category-specific posts, but that is an option in the 15Zine latest post widget.15Zine’s popular posts widget pulls stats from the Stats module, which means that the widget can only use options from the Stats API, and as category is not one of them, I didn’t add that option. I am going to look into it and see if there is a performance-effective way of adding an option to it.

Regarding the author widget, 15Zine does not have one, however, I may consider adding one for that.

Thanks for letting us know that you will look into our request. For us it is rather frustrating to show ‘pet related posts’ within our ‘food, health, relationship etc. sections as 4 of our top articles are ‘pet related’. The only way to get around this is to create 25 different sidebar widgets for each category on of our site, needless to say this is less than ideal.

It’s okay, I will try to look into it for 15Zine v2.0, but I’m afraid I can’t promise it will happen. As I explained, it may not be possible to do with stats! But I will of course try.

Considering on buying this theme. And i just have a question.

For the “Top Menu” and “Footer” in Light version i noticed it is “grayish” instead of “white”. Is there anything to change that?

Hi Iamsixxis,

Thanks for the interest in 15Zine. And yes, the light styles are gray, but it is very simple to change to white. You’d simply set it to the light style, and then copy/paste this code into the Theme Options -> Custom Code tab -> Custom CSS box:

.cb-tm-light #cb-top-menu .cb-top-menu-wrap, .cb-footer-light #cb-footer { background-color: #fff; }

That will make the top menu and the widget area of the footer completely white. I hope this helps.

Hey, I was just wondering, you know how in a megamenu the content is ajax loaded when you hover over the category? Is there any way to make the enter menu ajax load when you hover over the selector in the menu bar, that way the theme wouldn’t load images and content for the first set of results within the mega menu until the user wants them, improving the load time of the theme.

Hey Granddesign92,

That isn’t really possible without heavily changing the theme’s code, but from a user experience point of view, I don’t think that is a good solution, as Ajax can take a couple of seconds to complete, and that would be frustrating for a visitor who probably will want to see the menu quickly. Users don’t mind waiting for ajax when they request it (hover over sub menus), but they are used to instant loading of the menu at first, which is only possible the way it is done now. Plus the megamenu images should be quite small in size, and should barely make a difference to your loading speed.

Hope this makes sense!

Incredible look, feel, & interaction. Was curious about two things before purchase:

1. Is this theme compatible with Visual Composer & Ultimate VC addons? 2. I noticed there’s an option to make the headers full width, but is there a way to make the entire site full width?

Thank you for your time.

Hey ThePlaceForThings,

Thanks so much for the kind words, interest and for checking out 15Zine :)

1- The theme doesn’t need/use any plugins like those, but the theme is written following best coding standards, meaning most plugins will work fine. And I can confirm that some users have used VC on 15zine with no problems :)

2- You can control the width of various elements, top menu, header, main menu and footer. The option in the demo styler to make the site’s layout “boxed/full”, and the full option essentially turns all those individual settings to full width. Making the whole site full width. If you are referring to the actual content area (articles), then those can’t be made full-screen width, as that would look really bad and cause loads of layout issues.

I hope this makes sense and is useful.

Cubell

Appreciate this, thank you.

You’re welcome :)

Hi cubell,

Just want to tell you I messaged you on the support website. Thank You.

Hey JustKeepitBiz,

Hope you’re well! Every ticket does get answered as soon as it is possible, so have no worries, you will get an answer :)

Hi Cubell, I know I have a support ticket from June 30th but I really need to get this finished and find a solution. I made a new PAGE, on this page I have content and a featured image along with a sidebar. Under all this I want to show recent posts either by category or by tag, whichever is easiest and built in, do you have short codes to do this?

Hey again,

Check the ticket and share the details for me to take a look at it properly, as it should be working automatically. :)

Cubell

Hi Cubell! Awesome theme,congrats.

Question:

Is there an easy way to move the post navigation (previous/next) to the top of the post? Or to the sidebar?

Thanks a lot!

Hey Wbrenner,

Thanks for the kind words. Really nice to hear you like it :)

By Previous/next do you mean the “previous/next post block” or “post pagination”?

Either one, you would need to edit single.php and move the relevant line of code: above the the_content(); line. The line with wp_link_pages( is the one with the post pagination.

Hope this helps.

Hi Guys, How hard would it be to include custom post types? My current site has CPT for destinations, shopping and News.

Hey Katerichascough,

Thanks for checking out 15Zine.

It depends on your CPT setup. Are they just custom post types or do they also have their own custom taxonomies? If they are just custom post types and assigned to normal tags/categories, then in the theme options you will find an option where you can insert the name of your custom post type so that the theme can show them in the relevant places.

If your CPT also use custom taxonomies, then you can still use them, but you won’t be able to do some things, such as add a module on the homepage and make it show CPT from that custom taxonomy. The only way to show those CPT would be if you have a shortcode (most events plugins have a shortcode to output the events for example).

I hope this makes sense and helps.

Hey Cubell,

First off, spot-on theme. Such a perfect solution for online magazines. Robust features. But one quibble I can rightly say here is that the image quality of featured images tend to go pixelated. It doesn’t happen in my previous themes. If you have a few extensions to resolve this, please reply.

In addition, and I think this is a common problem, the section A2 crops my featured images weird. Some crop it almost half than the slider height which makes it look awkward.

My website is www.filmpolicereviews.com

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sincerely, Armando

Hey Armando,

Thanks for the kind words, really happy you like the theme :)

The only time featured images would look pixelated is if the featured image is small and it is being scaled up to fit in the space (if you use a big featured image for example). And the images you have on the full-screen slider are definitely too small too, which means that WordPress doesn’t create a big thumbnail for the theme to use, instead it feeds the theme the original image size. And as original image sizes have all different proportions, the slider ends up looking weird. The best solution is to use good sized featured images, however, I have already added some clever code to the theme that will help set a max height to the slider no matter what device/screen is looking at it, so that it looks good. This will be included in the upcoming v1.4 update.

I hope this makes sense.

Hi Cubell,

ik have a little problem, i was using a plugin to make the background of a post clickable but it doesnt work any more i actually have 2 plugins for this they both dont work any more. It seems something is conflicting with the container or body of the template … can you check for me please? im using WP-Backgrounds Lite by InoPlugs and Background Manager by Mike Green for this.

Its very important that i get this issue resolved. Also, could you manage to build a option in your template that allows to put a clickable backround per individual post by any chance? This would be so awsome!

Because the homepage clickable and global clickable option of the template itself works just fine!

Here is a link to check the background wich should be clickable: http://fakka.nl/hot-pink-media-4/

Thanks in advance sir!

Best regards,

Fakka

Hey again,

No problem! But i’m afraid not, as I don’t know what code might need to be adjusted, I need to install the plugins, debug and go through all the code involved until I figure out what is going on, and that takes a while! I want to release the next update relatively soon, so I will do my best to look at this for that update too.

Cubell

Hi Cubell,

Thanks for the reply again!

I wonder if it wouldnt be easer to just make that option available in the theme function itself. Because you already provided to have a custom background in every post. Could you please ad a function to make this background clickable with custom url in this way you dont have to play arround with the background manager plugin, and all your customers wil truely enjoy this function it would make the template a LOT more powerfull!

Also what do you think about implementing a function to use youtube and vimeo video’s as a background. This also would be very awesome!!!!!!!

Please let me know what you think about this and if its possible.

Best regards,

Fakka

Hey again,

No problem!

Adding links to the background is not as easy as you’d imagine! That is why I only developed that system to be global/homepage only. For a post-per-post basis requires quite a complicated extra system, and if you want to set your site up to be that complicated, then it is best you have that type of functionality in a plugin, so if you change themes in the future, your background ads should (hopefully) still work in our new theme. If the theme creates that complex functionality (lots of custom code/images + ad links/etc on each post) then you would lose that when moving to another theme. I am working on the next theme update and will try to dedicate some time to install that plugin and see if I can debug and get it working to be able to do that.

I have thought about a post format video option to put it on the entire background, but it’s on the “maybe” list at the moment :)
