Theme is slow, The7 is much faster

The7 technically cannot be faster, since Armada is stripped down version of The7 and should be 10~20% faster 
Probably there is some technical issue with your Armada instance (maybe something wrong caching settings).

I don’t use any cache plugin. Believe me The7 theme is faster than this one, I have tested it out, I have both themes

I love how the slider is not displayed when you view it on smaller screens – tablet and mobile. I’ve never liked sliders on mobile. Is this a setting in Revolutions Slider? (I see that is the one you used by inspecting element) Or, did you use some theme settings to achieve this? Or custom code?

Prepurchase question; I noticed the photosliders in The7 have arrow-navigation, but they don’t in Armada. Is that a matter of settings, or is this not possible in Armada?

Armada have very powerful build-in Media Albums editing capabilities. If you prefer a plugin – it will be wiser to look for simpler theme (so there’s no unwanted duplicate code).

Hello, I am looking to use this theme for a photography site. What options are there for a proofing plugin and password protecting the images?

You can password protect photo albums and pages with photos.
You can also use any “water-marking” plugin you like.
I am starting to look at refreshing my site, and this theme is tops on my list. I am wondering about the header bar that lists contact info and has the WooCommerce cart. Can that bar be disabled, or at the very least can I disable the cart? I will not be ready to utilize the cart aspect of the site right away, and was hoping to phase that in over time.

You do not need to utilize e-commerce features if you do not ned them. Theme will work just fine without WooCommerce. Also you can disable the whole top bar if you need to.

I recently installed your theme, but am having trouble installing the dummy content. I have done this before on another site and it worked – but after I install in on this site I get this message after the install is finished “Oops! That page can’t be found.”
All of the images that the theme comes with are uploaded, but no pages, posts, products, or anything else that I can tell.

I really like the Armada theme, i just wonderd is there a Photo-Proofing device? Or if not, can i use Password-saved Galleries for Photo-Proofing? Are the passwordsaved Galleries in the Front or the back-End? Is it correct that if i buy the Theme i get 16 skins to change the appearance of the Homepage? Yes to all questions.
Things to note:
1. If a user has access to Media Gallery in the back-end, he’ll be able to see images from password-protected posts/galleries/etc. there.
2. Armada is extremely plugins-receptive. But we naturally cannot guarantee it will work with absolutely every plugin
I have a question re: transparent header (top nav) possible throughout the entire site?
We see that some of the demos offer a transparent header and top nav (see: http://armada.dream-demo.com/home/creative/2-creative/). We would like to know if this theme has this functionality throughout the site, including portfolios and galleries. All of the gallery demos on feature the white fixed header and top nav bar.

Hello, I am looking at purchasing one of your themes and it is between The7 and Armada. What is the difference between the two, I looked at the demos and they seem to have the same features? I want a theme that is the latest and greatest, fully responsive, fully customizable with colors, fonts, layouts, etc, with full screen slideshows, all the newest features, unique layout designs, great SEO, etc. I have a photography website, but I would like an all purpose theme that is also great for photography and showing photos. Generally speaking, Armada is more lightweight, purpose build (photography) version of The7.
In the same time, The7 has more design options, more features (even related to showcasing photography stuff), better plugins compatibility and, being a multi-purpose theme with huge user-base, receives update much more frequently. It’s a bit heavier, though.
If you do not know which one to choose, I recommend you going for The7.
Hello Dream-Theme, thanks for the info, that is exactly what I wanted to know, so it sounds like The7 is the right one for me. I have to look again at the demos and see if I have anymore questions. I find it very difficult to choose between different themes out there, there are so many to choose from, then I decide on one and before you know it I am wishing I choose a different theme. I bought a theme in May 2013 and now I wish I bought a different one, it’s too basic, I want one with almost unlimited layouts/website designs because I get bored of stuff fast. Back in 2013 themes were much simpler than today.

It’s a poor frog who doesn’t praise its own pond, you know 
One I can say for sure. There are themes with more demo content, there are themes with more header layouts, etc. But you will not find a theme on the market that will outperform The7 or Armada in terms of design customization without writing a single line of code.

The7 was created in 2013, so I was wondering if there are near future plans to stop making large updates to the theme and instead create a whole new The8 theme, for example?
If I bought The7 how does your update policy work, do I get free unlimited updates/upgrades when the theme is updated in the future?

Themes have different skins. That’s true.
Armada has actually less features then The7. As I said before we want to keep it relatively light-weight. This is photography theme and we do not want usual “multipurpose” stuff sticking out of it.
I also already told that The7 receives much more updates, upgrades and overhauls due to its multipurpose nature (compare the changelogs of both themes).
All updates/upgrades are lifetime free for all themes on ThemeForest.

For The7 fullscreen sliders, can you have photos and videos in the same slider and then have the video autostart and then loop back to the beginning again? If I use a youtube video, I don’t want a fullscreen of suggested videos after my video ends, I want it to loop back to the beginning automatically.
Also can you have a video playing as the background of a striped content area?

As far as I know, video autoplay is not supported. But you can double check with Slider Revolution and Layer Slider authors (both bundled with theme) – maybe they’ve added the feature and I missed it.
Video can be used as a stripe background. Though I do not recommend doing it: video backgrounds are extremely resource consuming.
First of all I’ve to say that this is one of the greatest themes of all i work with it.
I only have a simple question:
“Is there any way to make the top-bar of the top on mobile and tablets open by default???”
