first of all thanks for the great theme.
We have the following problem:
We are using the plugin Events Manager (by Marcus Sykes). Unfortunately the single events cannot be changed to an own color, but it is using the color which we defined for blogs. This is something we could live with.
The bigger problem is the top menu bar. If you click on the X it announces you to lead you to the blog (like if you have a single post leading to the overview of posts) but it doesn’t. What can we do to achieve that the X links to the overview of posts or even better to the overview of events?

Thank you for purchasing! When you click on the X the theme detects a blog page that has at least one category that is common with that post.
If you want to change this behavior you need the single.php file.

Thank you for purchasing! It seems that you have changed the permalink default settings which is all right, but you haven’t followed the (sometimes) necessary extra step.
So please go to Settings>Permalink, select the default structure and save. Then select the desired structure again.

I love the ajax load feature, it’s very smooth. But I’m also using the menu part of your template in an Iframe for other websites ( that gives me the possibility to have one mega menu over multiple websites on other domains). The thing is, I need to disable the ajax load feature when I’m accessing the site via an iFrame. The only way i found to activate or desactivate the ajax load is in the samaba admin menu or the regular_load class to add to the menu items. Is there a way to handle this directly in php. I use different headers, one for normal access, the other one for iFrame Access. It would be great to add a regular_load feature to the wp_nav of the iframe header. Hope you’ll understand me.

I contacted the support from VC, but they said this has something to do with the integrated VC in the Samba Theme and i had to contact you. So, here I am Can you make the theme work with VC 4.6? Thank you for purchasing! You bought Samba and you only have the license for it (not for Visual Composer). So, it is the theme that will eventually provide updates to it. At this moment we don’t have any plans to implement a full update to the plugin.

I purchased VC myself outside of the theme before. So i do have a license for VC. But in other words i can´t do nothing about it until you update, which you are not planing on. Great.

Ok … i get it. But just my opinion. Version 4.3.5 of Visual Composer is just so outdated. And no offence, you did a good job on the theme. but this is still a reason for me to give a lower rating.

My website pages will only load after clicking a link on the left navigation bar and then hitting the refresh button. If I don’t hit the refresh button after clicking the link, it just loads a blank page (or does nothing).

I am using your SAMBA-Theme. Everything works great but i cant update the Visual Composer plugin. It says i have to enter the Purchase-Code to the Settings page. If i do this, i get the following error message: “Invalid liense key. Please check information in your envato profile.”
I’m sure I have entered all Informations correctly (Username, API-Key, Purchase-Code of the Theme)

On iphone view, I’m trying to force the height of the image to take up the full screen height. I want to retain the aspect ratio of the image and then hide the overflow width.
Are there any settings that will allow this or a simple over-ride of current functionality, it looks like there is JS that is currently resizing the full slider on mobile devices.

Question:
I added a code to show a banner on the top of single pages and it works fine but it only loads the banner the first time I load the page, on the first post. When I start navigating with the arrows, the next post loads but without the banner. Is this behaviour related to the ajax? Is there any way to show the banner on every single page?

The problem is that you do not seem to want to propose Visual Composer updates to the archive of the Samba theme. So.. please how apply the patches?
The site I’m working on is currently in production and online and I have to apply that quickly.
Maybe can I install (safe) a newer version of Visual Composer manually?

I’m attempting to use WPML and when I do a Fullscreen Slider home page I cannot select the group of slides to use on the translated page. The option is just not there.
I solved the problem. You cannot add English slides, you have to create a second language slide then the group appears.
One problem that persists is the Chinese on my website is quite small. Do you have any suggestions of Chinese fonts to add so the English and Chinese fonts have a similar size. It looks much better individually and more professional when switching from one language to another.

Google fonts are best disabled in China due to the internet restrictions that mess with any connection (attempts) to Google.

Hi, I am desperately trying to get slider on the homepage same as the demo. I have selected ‘page attributes>fullscreen slider’ but cannot get it to work, I’ve tried all sorts of settings – Where do I select the fullscreen image and get it to function?
Also somewhere in the settings there is a background image of a fence with glass jars on it (view site) does anyone know where this is within the standard settings so I can change??

Your homepage is showing a fullscreen slider soo I assume that you sorted it. As for the image with glass jars: it is one of the images that were imported with the one-click install sample feature. Changing the content depends on what part of the website you are talking about.
The theme slider element grabs elements from the theme Slides custom post type. You can see them by clicking on slides. Please read the theme documentation and check the video tutorials, because you seem to be a bit lost.
