Hi Cubell! Could you please explain why some of my posts display pictures properly, e.g. http://dorota.in/nalesniki-z-serem/ while other try to show them in a wide format, even tough the pictures are vertical, e.g. http://dorota.in/ciasto-z-malinami/ Both these posts have images set as centered.
Hey Dorota,
I’m not sure I follow, because I went on both posts and the images look as expected. And both images are 1920×1280 in dimensions, so i’m not sure what you mean by “the pictures are vertical”, can you please elaborate a bit to help me understand what you mean?
Cubell
Hi!
1920×1280 is horizontal, while e.g. 1280×1920 is vertical. That’s what I mean
. Please scroll down till the end of each post, before sharing icons are shown. There are vertical pictures of the food in both posts, set asalligned to the center. In http://dorota.in/nalesniki-z-serem/ the picture is visible properly, alligned to the center. In http://dorota.in/ciasto-z-malinami/ the picture, even though being set as aligned to the center, is shown aligned to left. This left alignment happens when I try to edit some old posts. The “Nalesniki z serem” post was not edited after I had activated 15zine theme. The “Ciasto z malinami” post was manually edited to and the only thing I modified was setting the video play button. No text editing, but somehow this alignment changes. In each post I try to edit after 15zine installation.
Hi, still waiting for an answear.
Hey again,
I’m a bit confused, because both images you show are actually 1920×1290 (landscape/horizontal): http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/nalesniki-z-serem.jpg http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/ciasto-z-malinami.jpgAre those the pictures you are referring to?
Cubell
Hi again. No. I am not referring to featured images. I am referring to images in the end of the posts. Please open both posts and scroll down like you were reading them. Please check how these pictures http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/nalesniki-z-serem.jpg and http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/ciasto_z_malinami.jpg are displayed.
Hey again,
Ah I see! That is related to a CSS bug when you center + caption an embed that isn’t too wide. I am going to fix it for v2. But I think if you edit the post and turn off the Embeds bigger than the content option it might fix it for now.
Cubell
Ok, I’ll wait for the fix because I have already edited around 40 posts where this issue happens.
I think the bug is also visible for big images I center. Please take a look at this post: http://DOROTA.iN/kuchnia-kubanska/. All of the images are fullwidth even though they are set as centered and I thought they would be as wide as the post content. It’s hard to read and watch if there are so many fullwidth photos. And also this one, where some images are fullwidth, and some are not: http://dorota.in/metamorfoza-kuchni-przemaluj-meble-na-bialo/. In this post, all of the images are centered, but almost all display in a different way: wide but cropped, aligned left etc.
Sure thing! But that one you share isn’t a bug, those are working as expected. It’s a theme feature to have images that big. To change that you need to turn off the option in the layout options tab when editing the post. There is an option to make embeds bigger than content area. Turn that off and it should output as you are saying you want it o.
Cubell
Ok, found the option, thanks
. Would be great if it was available as global setting, is it possible?
And still, the question about displaying the images in this post: http://dorota.in/metamorfoza-kuchni-przemaluj-meble-na-bialo/. Some of them are fullwidth but cropped so the logo is not visible. One of them is fullwidth but not cropped. What shall I do to make them all look the same way, like this one: http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/dorota-kaminska-kuchnia-biale-meble.jpg?
Regards, Dorota
There is a global post sidebar override in the Theme Options -> Posts where you can set that sidebar style to all posts if you wish.
And are you referring about the parallax image? If so, you can’t control exactly what parts of the image are visible, as the nature of responsive full-screen images means on some screens, some parts are cut off to fit nicely.
Cubell
Hi again
.
I’ve been already using using global post override settings:
GLOBAL FEATURED IMAGE STYLE -> Parallax GLOBAL POST SIDEBAR STYLE OVERRIDE -> On and set to NO SIDEBAR
The global options FULL-SCREEN WIDTH IMAGE EMBEDS and EMBEDS BIGGER THAN CONTENT AREA are not available and they would be useful for an older blog like mine, where so many posts exist and need to be edited manually.
And for the second question I wasn’t referring to the parallax image. I was referring to the images inside the post http://dorota.in/metamorfoza-kuchni-przemaluj-meble-na-bialo/.
This image is also inside the post and while fullwidth, it is not cropped and you can see the whole logotype on it: http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/dorota-kaminska-kuchnia-biale-meble.jpg
These images are cropped and you can’t see neither the logo on them, nor their full description:
http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/dorota-kaminska-metamorfoza-kuchni-niski-koszt.jpg http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/dorota-kaminska-kuchnia-przed-metamorfoza.jpg http://dorota.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/kuchnia-dorota-kaminska-bledy-w-aranzacji.jpgRegards, Dorota
Ah I see, I will certainly look into adding global settings for those extra options in a future update too.
And the images inside the post all seem to be showing the full image, they aren’t cropped, so it looks like you managed to get it done
Cubell
Thanks, that would be cool and very useful! Yes, I temporarily managed to get the pictures displayed properly but will remind you about that if I’d need a fullwidth text in a post again
.
Sure thing
Hello Cubell,
I really like your theme, but before I buy it I want to ask you that …
1. Is it possible to change the post content width of the theme to be smaller? Does it effect the homepage width too??
2. Is it possible to change the background color of the sidebar widget?
3. Is it possible to change the color of the header or menu bar or the horizon line color (other color that’s not black and white)?
4. Is it possible to change the home page or blog page post alignment different than what you’ve done in theme’s blog style demo? For example… I just want to have only 2 posts with excerpt (2 columns alignment) and 8 post without excerpt in one column alignment below it + sidebar
Thank you, I hope that all can be done! ^^
Hi SiamQuant,
Thanks for the kind words and interest in 15Zine
1- The only way to make the post content area small would be to use the global 1020px version option which you select in the Theme Options. But that would affect every post/page of the site, as there is no way to option to only change the post content area width.
2- Sure thing, you can use the light or dark style, but if you want to use another color, you could simply copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box, this is for the light style sidebar:
.cb-body-light .cb-sidebar { background: #f2f2f2; }
And change the #f2f2f2 value there.
3- Yeah, for the header (logo + header ad area) there is a colorpicker option in the theme options to select any color you want for the background. And for the main menu, you can select dark/light style and there is also an option to turn the line under the menu on/off. And if it is set to “on” then a colorpicker option will allow you to change the color of the menu line to anything you want.
4- So you’d want your first line to have two posts with excerpt, and then every post below be on a single line? If so, you could do that with the pagebuilder by adding a module with two posts for the first line, and then add the paginated block after using blog style A, I think that would look like what you are asking. But not on a blog latest posts style homepage that wouldn’t be possible, for that type of homepage you’d need to pick a blog style and there are 7 different blog styles to choose from, but none are like that.
I hope this info is useful

Hi again,
I wanted to know if it was possible with some custom css to change the size of the logo appearing in the menu on small screen devices. My logo appears rather tiny on it :/
my url is ecophiles.com Thanks so much for your help!
Also would love to find a way to right align the top nav menu! Thanks!
Hey again,
I answered your tickets in the support about this yesterday

Hi I am trying to change the Hover/Rollover Color of Titles on the Homepage.
Please see Screenshot of what i’m referring to here: http://hispanicnyc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/screen.pngBy default, when you roll the cursor over these titles they change from black to dark gray.
I tried going into Appearance > Theme Options > Design > Hypertext Link Colors and tried every option and none of those changed the Hover Color. I also tried changing the Global Color in there as well and that didn’t do it either.
Is there a custom CSS code I could paste in to customize the hover color on these homepage category titles?
Please advise. Thanks
Hi DirtyEditor,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it.
Ah that is because the links in module titles are the one link that are hard-coded to ensure it stayed within the design, however, you can easily change it by copy/paste the following code into your theme options -> Custom code -> Custom CSS box:
.cb-body-light .cb-module-header .cb-module-title a:hover {
color: #444;
}
And change the #444 value to your color.
I hope this helps.
Cubell
Worked perfectly thank you. Amazing theme by the way. Seriously well thought out design. Thank you for the speedy support as well. Your crew rocks!
You’re welcome, happy I could help
Hi—I recently purchased 15zine, & I was wondering: how do I make the dropdown navigation menu automatically as wide as the text so it does not force the text down to the next line, splitting the words into two lines for a page destination name? Thank you!!
http://thehistorytree.comHey Dc0330,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it.
Those normal menus have to have some sort of width limit to avoid having layout issues, so I’d recommend copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
#cb-top-menu ul li ul { width: 200px; }
And increase the 200px value.
I hope this helps.
Cubell
thanks so much—that did it!!
You’re welcome
Hi. I wonder about buying this theme but first I have two questions: is it possible to change the font in the articles and also to minimalize the bottom-black “strap”/box which is really wide and big. I also plan to put some league standing on the right site if that’s possible?
Hey Kublu,
Thanks for the interest in 15Zine.
1- Yeah, you can set two main fonts in the theme options (one for headings and for the body text), and then inside each post you can set fonts for that article too. Here is an example on the demo site of a post with different fonts to the rest of the site:
http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/design/post-with-unique-fonts/2- I’m not sure exactly what box you are referring to, could you please be more specific? Do you mean the footer?
And regarding the league standing, how are you planning on doing that? Have you got a plugin or similar for it? If so, and if the plugin provides a shortcode to output the standings, then depending on where you mean, you could insert the shortcode in a widget in the footer for example to show it.
I hope this helps.

Hello how are you – first of all thank you for so cute theme. I am 90% buy this, but I have 2 questions:
1) I can place several banners of any size in the sidebars of the blog and the articles?
for example: a 300×600 banner another of 300×250
etc ..
2) The goal I want is to create a magazine and make money with adsense advertising style, taboola, etc ….
¿I can add that advertising at the end of the articles as recommendation style?
Thanks
Hey Diegomez92,
I am great thanks, I hope you are too. And thanks for the kind words and for checking out 15Zine
1- Yes you can. The sidebars are created in Appearance -> Widgets in WordPress, which means you can add any widget you want. So you can add the default “Text widget” to the sidebars and paste your ad code into those widgets to output the ads. The theme sidebars are 300px so those ads will fit perfectly in them.
2- You can insert any ad you want
And in the theme options, you will find an option to insert an ad at the end of posts. So you can paste your ad code in there and it will output at the end of posts. The recommended ad size is 728×90.
I hope this info is useful.

Can you help me when I am not log in, I press login/register and I am not able to register only login
Hi Kmccoy2000,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it.
It sounds like your site doesn’t allow people to register. Go to your Settings -> General and enable the “Anyone can register” option and it will appear automatically.
I hope this helps.

Hello there, I would like to know if there if it is possible NOT to show the title right on the featured image when the full-width style is activated … This is important because i would like my cooking/recipe images to be displayed in full widht without having my title overlaying the image..
Thanks in advance
Hi Terence250,
You can copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
.cb-fis-block-site-width .cb-entry-header { display: none; }
And that should do it, I hope this helps
Cubell
It doesn’t seem that any category pages, category megamenus, or category pages respect “sticky” posts and put them at the top. Would be great if this could be added!
Hey again,
The megamenus are set to ignore stickies, but the category blog rolls do show them, can you open a ticket at http://support.cubellthemes.com and include a relevant URL of a category + a sticky post in that category that isn’t appearing first to check it out?

The template looks great and is easy to operate, however runs slowly on my http://DOROTA.iN blog. I have WP Super Cache configured and running and 30K pageviews daily traffic. Is there any way to optimize it?
Hey Dorota,
I hope you are well and thanks again for choosing 15Zine.
I ran a Google speed test and the main issue with your site is your images:
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdorota.in%2F&tab=desktopYou need to optimize your images before uploading them to your site, and this has nothing to do with the theme you use, as images are not controlled by themes. The recommended way to optimize images is to open them in Photoshop (or similar) and use the “Save for web” option, then set the quality to around 80%. This will result in an image that looks almost identical to the original but be much, much smaller in size. You can also install Smush.it plugin to try to help with it.
And I actually recommend using W3 Total Cache instead of super cache, in my experience it is better. To uninstall super cache though you need to do some special steps, check them out here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/other_notes/I hope this helps.

My hosting provider support analyzed the theme and the problem is in the 15zine Functionality Plugin (which now is switched off, because when active, it sends over 100 requests by each subpage loading and doesnt get to be fully cached). When this plugin was active, my server had huge problems with database connections. This problem didn’t exist with the previous template, even though the images were the same size. That’s where the main problem is and with or without images compressed, it will exist if you don’t optimize 15zine functionality plugin.
The plugin is very simple code-wise and is working 100% fine on the demo site and the 1000+ other users using the theme. The plugin consists of only two things, the shortcodes for the theme (very simple PHP code) and the other thing it includes is the Tax Meta Class plugin, with no special code either. so I am almost 99.9% certain there are no problems with the plugin. What hosting company are you using?
Cubell
Dear Cubell! The plugin works perfectly on my demo site too. I am pretty sure it works well on smaller blogs where not so many posts and not so much traffic happens. My demo site is the site noone visits where I test new themes and plugins before publishing them on real, live blog. However, when the plugin is activated on a main DOROTA.iN blog, where 30K views daily are collected, there is a problem I describe above. Have you tested the plugin for bigger traffic? It took us a couple of hours to determine where the problem might be and finally switching off the plugin worked but it is not the solution I would be happy about. I am using zenbox.pl hosting, it is known and reliable in my country.
Could you please take a closer look at the plugin and the problem mentioned above?
Hi again,
I definitely will look into it! But yes, I can confirm that the theme + plugin is running on very big sites. I have seen many big sites, but one in particular (a car site) which I was told by the owner has millions of hits a month and is running 15Zine (with mutliple 1,000s of published posts in it too). And another huge international fashion company is also using it for one of their sites, which again must receive millions of hits a month. The plugin is very similar to what is contained in the plugin that comes in my other theme (Valenti), and that theme is also used by very, very big sites with no issues.
If you open up a ticket in the support and share some admin details, I can login and install some server info plugins to try to understand what is going on. It would also be useful if you copy/paste your hosting email with any details of files/exact locations that they claim is causing extra strain on your server.

Hi Cubell, Theme looks great, just wanted to confirm a few things before I decide to purchase: 1.) Is there a filter built-in to the theme that darkens the images so that the white titles are visible? If so, is it possible to disable that filter? 2.) Is it possible to change the fonts?
Hi Env457,
I notice you decided to purchase the theme before I got a chance to reply, so thanks for choosing 15Zine:
1- Yes, and yes you can easily disable it for grids by copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
.cb-grid-x .cb-grid-img img { opacity: 1; }
I plan on adding options to control this better in the theme options in v2.0
2- As you’ve probably already seen, yes you can change the fonts to any font you want
Thanks again!
Cubell
Hi again! I need to be able to set featured images on pages built using the drag and drop builder. I searched the comments and saw you said you are working on it, so just wanted to add that I need this feature too
Thanks!
Hi again,
I’ve managed to make some good progress on this, so hopefully in v2.0 (which will be released soon), will have it all
Cubell
Hi,
First of all thanks for this theme we love it!!
I have a problem with posts per pages.
In a category I have 25 posts and I want them to show to a certain page. But the max. “number of posts to show” in the “SECTION B + “SECTION B SIDEBAR (IN APPEARANCE -> WIDGETS)” is 16 posts.
How can I show all my 25 posts?
Looking forward to yr answer.
Regards
Hi,
I also have another problem;
In the post page when I change the layout option to “no sidebar – site width” and I update the page, it does not save the new option but it gets back to the default option with sidebar even if I select “IGNORE GLOBAL OVERRIDE”
Do you know why?
Many thanks
Hey Viajera,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I’m really happy you love it
You could either add another module and use the offset option to skip the first 16 posts, and that will show all your 25 posts, or you could add the paginated block (last one in the pagebuilder) to show all your posts with pagination.
And when you say “post page”, do you mean a post, or a page? Because pages aren’t influenced by the global sidebar setting, that is only for posts
Cubell
Hello, I mean a post, I want that in some posts it appears the sidebar in other it does not.
Ah I see. Can you tell me your exact setup then – Do you have a global setting for the sidebars? And what is it set to? Are all posts showing that option? And finally, you are saying that you want a post to have a different sidebar option but you can’t disable the global setting?
cubell
Hi,
Many thanks for your answer. Don’t know the reason but now it works.
In the post style no sidebar, the text is alligned in the center. Is it possible to allign if on the left and make it using the entire width of the photo?
Many thanks for your answer.
You’re welcome and that’s good to hear
I’m afraid that isn’t possible, as the content is centered on a screen-level, so if you try to make it go to the left, it will be on the left of the screen.
Cubell
Ok thanks, do you think to make it possible in future updates? It would be really helpful for me.
Last question; do you know how I can reduce the width of the sidebar?
Thanks in advance!
Hey again,
No problem! I’m not sure if it’s actually possible to implement that though. The only thing I wonder is, are you saying you want to have no-sidebar but use all the width of the site, instead of just the center? Because if so, actually there might be an option for that already. When you set a post to have no sidebar, there are two options “Narrow centered style” or “full-width style”. Have you tried the full-width style?
And there is the way to change the sidebar width unless you use the 1020px version of the site. This is because the theme was designed on a column of 3 and 12, so the layout is coded this way, making a sidebar bigger/smaller would cause layout issues and wouldn’t look as good
Cubell
Hello,
I tried to use the “full width style” but it cut all the images and you cannot see them properly.
Regarding the sidebar, I use the 1200 px but I could not find how to change the siedbar width.
Thanks in advance!
Hello again,
I have solved the first problem, there were the embeds options activated.
Still to solve the sidebar width. Thanks
That’s good to hear!
But as I explained, the theme was designed on a column of 1/3 (12), so the sidebars are set widths depending on the screen size. The only way to have a small sidebar is to change the entire site width to the smaller 1020px version.
Cubell
Hello,
Ok thanks anyway.
In wordpress you can use a short description for the website.
I would like it to appear in the header below my logo, is it possible? I cannot find how.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hey again,
No worries, sorry I couldn’t be more helpful on that one! And I’m afraid not, the theme doesn’t use that particular WordPress option, the best way (and to keep the layout consistent) is to simply integrate the subtitle under the logo in the actual image file.
Cubell
Hello,
Thanks for your answer the problem is that I use WPML and the short description is different in each home page. Being the logo unique for the entire website I cannot do it.
Another question is there a way to put in the homepage the link of a page instead of a post? I mean I need a page to be displayed in the home page with the same formats available for posts. I am not really good with HTML code.
Thanks for yr help.
Ah I see what you mean, I will look into it and see if I can add an option to load the subtitle under the logo in an upcoming update.
In v2 update there is a new special block in the homepage builder that allows you to set an image + title + link for each tile, with that you can link to anything you want. No HTML code needed! Have you seen it?
Cubell
Hi Cubell,
Many thanks for adding an option in the next updates.
I can see that there is a block called custom links but it is a block of 6 pages and if I put just 1 it does not display well. Any suggestion?
Another thing images in the page header have like a black layer on it, it is possible to remove it?
Thanks in advance
Hey again,
That new module is completely new code/system added to the homepage builder, which is why I started with a grid of 6 to start with, and over time I plan to add other designs/modules for less images, including one for just a single image. So at the moment you will need to use 6, or create your image in the post editor, and then copy/paste the HTML code (click on Text view mode) into a “custom code” module to output only one image.
Can you share a URL of what you mean by the black layer to better understand what you mean?
Cubell
This is the url of my webpage http://www.surfingtheplanet.com/ if you see the images on the slideshow and also the ones on the top are not bright as the other images.
You can better see the “problem” in this page http://www.surfingtheplanet.com/contacto-2/ in which you see that the photo colours are not bright as the original.
This is the reason why I told you that it seems as there is like a black layer on it.
Thanks again
Hey again,
I had a look and you can adjust the grids to be fully visible by going to the Theme Options -> Grids and sliders and adjusting the color overlay transparency option. If you set it to 0, then there will be no overlay.
I plan on adding the same options for sliders in the next update, so stay tuned for that update
Make sure to follow Cubell Themes on Facebook to find out when it comes out quickly.
Cubell
Hi Cubell,
Many thanks I did it but the photos of the photo of the pages does not change: http://www.surfingtheplanet.com/contacto-2/ http://www.surfingtheplanet.com/europa/Thanks again for yr support!
Ah I see, to make those clear again, copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
.cb-fis .backstretch img { opacity:1; }
Should do the trick.
Cubell
Thanks it works!!!!
You’re welcome
When I activate the 15zine functionality plugin it slows the site admin way down, is it still necessary to install that plugin in the 1.3.1 version… I’m also using the child theme?
Hey Phtgrphx,
I answered your ticket in the support about this earlier, so let’s continue the conversation over there to keep it one place.

Hi—I love this theme. How do I get images to display at a custom resolution, or at least a higher resolution? Right now they are showing up at a low resolution and then when you click them the full-rez picture pops up. I’d still like this format, but I want the initial (click-through) picture to be higher rez/less fuzzy.
Thanks!!
nevermind—found it haha…thanks!
Hey again,
Glad you got this sorted too

Hooray, Author! Tnx for the theme! May I, pls, have any answer for my ticket on your support site?

PreSale Question: Is there an Author-Page like in this theme here: http://theme-sphere.com/smart-mag/authors/ ? Cheers
Hi Wondrous-llc,
Thanks for the interest in 15Zine. Yes 15Zine has author pages, but they are much more detailed than the usual list of authors. You can see the examples here:
This is the regular team template:
http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/the-team-template/This is the same template but full-width:
http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/the-team-template-no-sidebar/And in both the templates about, you have control over the order the authors and also what authors to show. So you can only authors you want to show, not every registered author on the site.
And individual author pages are highly designed too, here is an example of one:
http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/author/chris/I hope this helps.
