Hi! How i can translate the texts: Prep Time , minutes,Cook Time,Servings,Likes, Dislikes, Ingredient,Amount, etc.. in the theme? My idea is to be in spanish.

Did you translate the theme with Poedit? Take a look at the documentation, readme.pdf :)

Hi. I just bought this theme and it looks great. But when I add a second ingrediens category it wont appear. How do we solve this?

Best regards Jonas

Hello Jonas,

You can add the ingredients with shortcodes. From the readme.pdf: “The ingredient lists can be inserted anywhere on the post content with shortcodes [ingredients], [ingredients2], and [ingredients3].”

If you have only one ingredient list, and don’t use the shortcode, it will be automatically inserted above the post content :)

Thanks alot for your help! I got another question, is it possible to add the page selection at the bottom aswell (homepage)?

/ Jonas

Do you mean the numeric page navigation? Please contact me vie my profile page’s contact form.

Hello, the theme is great. I have a little problem on the revenue I can not have two or more Cathegory level ingrediens . If I add another ingredient title company does not appear there . What can cause this?

Hello,

I replied to your email :)

Hi there, everything is fantastic, is there any way to move the search recipes on the home page left or right on the featured image? Many Thanks

Hello,

Could you contact me via my profile page, so I can reply to you.

Hi, I installed the theme and everything works just fine, but I can’t figure out how to turn on the slider, with the search bar and the text. How do I do it?

Hello,

What slider are you trying to turn on? This theme doesn’t include a slider :)

In your demo site there is a pig picture at the top of the page and on it there is the welcome message and search field. This is the part I can’t figure out how to turn on

Did you create a page using the template “Home”, and set it as the front page in Settings > Reading? :)

Welcome message is the content of the page.

Search suggestions can be set in Appearance > Theme Options.

Take a look at readme.pdf page 5 :)

On the single recipe page none of the bottom items are showing up. No social share. No print. No tags. No author information. No comments. No recommended. Everything else seems to be fine. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Have you made changes to the theme files? Does the footer still show up? What’s your site’s address?

Please, contact me via my profile page’s contact form.

I did contact through the contact form. I will try again.

Some Presale Questions

1. Does the theme work over HTTPS ? We had purchased a similar front end Recipe posting theme and the images refused to get uploaded on https hence users were not able to post recipes. Has this theme been tested over HTTPS ?

2. What about browser compatibility? What versions and browsers are best supported? What about IE support? What is the minimum IE version supported? (Lot of Indian audience use older IE versions)

3. Integration with social media- Facebook / Twitter ? Any plug-ins best recommended which work seamlessly with the theme? Any known issues?

4. Could you provide us with any (2-3) reference of existing site(s) which are built on this theme for us to gauge the extent of customization possible with this theme?

5. Scalability- if user base increases and data grows, would the current design / queries / searches be scalable?

6. Can we display a list of Recipes sorted by Most Liked and Most Rated on a Monthly basis with this Theme?

I’m really sorry for the late answer!

1. I haven’t tested, so I can’t really say anything to that. If it won’t work you are entitled to refund, I believe. https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821460-Can-I-Get-A-Refund-

2. IE8 is the minimum IE supported.

3. There are built-in social links in the theme. Take a look at a single recipe, like this: http://live.bobosh.com/recipes/recipe/pizza-with-salami-olives-and-goat-cheese

4. Here are a couple of sites I’m aware of: http://foodieish.com/ https://paleofood.io/ http://semidelka.com/ Although some of these are not using the latest version.

5. I see no reason why the theme wouldn’t scale to more users.

6. No, it’s not possible.

Oh, looks like https://paleofood.io/ is using https. So, I believe it works then :)

Hello Great theme I’m having one issue, I have created the menu format but the drop down for “browse” on the menu is not working

Hello,

There’s a small bug in the theme’s JavaScript. I just uploaded the updated version. It should be available for download soon :)

You will get an email when the new version is available.

Ok Thanks

Can I change the submit form field type easily? And turn this to not a ‘receipe’ sharing theme but other type of sharing? Thank you

Thank you for email, all work it’s great.

No problem! :)

Hi, I bought your theme with regular license, and I have some problem with cuisine template. I can not sort the recipes in the kitchen. I want see american, franche or italian cuisine. I do not have this possibility. How fix this problem???

Hello,

Any idea why you are not marked as “Purchased” customer? :)

My friend by for me this theme. And we writing on your mail two time, and I don’t have any answer. And, maybe you try help with them??? We have license for this them. We have technical support, and who help me???

Hi,

Really wonderful theme you’ve made here!

The one thing I’ve been trying to figure out is why my main photo at the top of each recipe (the featured photo) is coming out blurry. I took the originals in high res, maybe over 4000×2000 and I’ve tried uploading them in full size, and cropping them down to the size of the cover photo. But no matter what I do, it’s still not as clear as the original. Is there a reason for this or any way to fix that? Do you have a recommended image size that will keep the photos in their original quality?

You can see what I mean here: http://www.forevernomday.com/recipe/fluffy-pancakes/

If you click on bottom image, you can see the original photo as I added it into the body of the recipe, yet the featured photo at the top is lowered quality, almost as if it had been scaled down and then blown back up a little.

Hello,

Have you cropped the images in WordPress manually? I wouldn’t recommend that :)

Anyway, the size for the featured image is 1140×500. You can upload images larger, but if you already have the final size, then you have full control of how the image is cropped etc.

In addition, WordPress automatically compresses the uploaded images. It shows especially on larger images.

There are plugins, which allow you to decrease the compression-level. For example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-resized-image-quality/

Hi, After updating to the latest version of Wordpress new users are redirected to the admin dashboard after completing the registration form.

Is there a way to fix this and have the user redirected to the recipe form instead?

Hello,

I tested this, and new user was not redirected to the dashboard after registration. I tested with my local site, and also with the demo site.

Now, I’m not sure what’s causing this behavior for you :) Have you made changed to the theme code?

Hi, does it come with options to

1) set full width?
2) change of fonts and size? Thank you

Hello,

1. No.

2. Font can be changed in the Theme Options panel. Font size can be changed with a small snippet of CSS into the Theme Options.

how can I upgrade my theme and take a backup before doing so…

sweetimes.net

Download the latest version at http://themeforest.net/downloads

Then upload the file with FTP, or at WordPress dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.

Backup the theme folder: wp-content/themes/recipes. If you haven’t made changes to the theme files, the backup is not required.

Destination folder already exists. /homepages/43/xxxxxxx/htdocs/xxxxxxx/wp-content/themes/recipes/

Theme install failed.

You can delete the theme folder. Make the backups first!

Hi There,

I am looking into purchasing your theme, is there a way to remove the tags, the author bio and comments from displaying at the end of each post.

I know I can disable comments, but what about removing the tags and the author bio

Thanks

Hello,

There is an option to disable the author bio. Take a look at the Theme Options screenshot: http://goo.gl/YDBKRh

The tags section won’t show if the post has no tags. If you want to use tags, but not show them on the post, you can contact me and I will help you with that :)

Hello,

Thank your for your template wonderful :)

I have a question please:

Is it possible to change/remove the URL of recipes ? for exemple: www.name.com/recipe/tomato_chicken_ball rename www.name.com/recette/tomato_chicken_ball or www.name.com/tomato_chicken_ball

In fact, i want to traduce in french the “recipe” of URL by “recette”

Thank you very much

Hello,

You can translate it in Settings > Permalinks > Recipe base :)

When a new update comes out, do we need to reinstall anything, or will any updates automatically be available?

Hello,

You will get an email from ThemeForest saying that there’s an update available. The updated theme can be downloaded from http://themeforest.net/downloads

Install with FTP upload or via the WordPress dashboard.

Can you integrate buddypress with this theme?

Hello,

No, I can’t say it’s 100% compatible. It would require some modifications to make it work perfectly.

Is there an easy way to export the recipes as PDF’s so that I can bundle them into an ebook?

Hello,

There’s no built-in function for this, but you could search for plugins.

I used oDesk to get someone to compile one for me from the entries on the website :o)

That’s great :)
