I’m interested in acquiring this product, for a newspaper website. What’s the difference with the other theme (that looks the same) http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 ??? Thanks!
Hi,
The themes functionality and performance are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another, newspaper’s grid width is 1164px while newsmag’s width is 1021px. Other differences are also appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other. We plan to constantly add new features to each theme so the choice depends on your needs.

Quick question, when can we see a real improvement with the mobile/tablet view of website, Im not happy with the look of these views at present… more work needs to go into this.
A website should still look just as beautiful in mobile/tablet view as on desktop…
In this themes case, it is just a chopped down mobile theme which looks incredibly dull and boring. There is to big a jump between what can be done on desktop and what can be achieved on smaller devices.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience however the theme is responsive meaning the same content as on desktop version is also present on mobile version of the theme.
We do plan to add more flexibility to the mobile area and improve the mobile version but we haven’t decided anything yet in this regard so I can’t provide any details on this at the moment.

Could you please provide more specific details in this regard as this classes appear on several page templates so please provide a link to a page which has this the title you want to remove or if you want to remove all of theme you can use the custom css code from below to hide all container using this classes:

I just buy the Newsmag theme, and I just find out that I cannot edit and customize posts like what I saw in your youtube video:

I don’t know that your New Newsmag Theme is missing such an important basic feature like this.
Can I change to the Newspaper Theme instead? I don’t care about the extra $10, I am willing to pay for the different.

There’s something wrong while trying to edit posts, where a divider appears in the middle of the editing box under “visual” mode. It disappears when we shift to “text” or a different theme.

That divider is added by the theme there to provide a better look at how the post will look in the frontend, with or without the sidebar.

Hello, since i update the theme, there is a delay of 10 minutes, of publishing a post and this post appears in the homepage.

This could happen due to your cache so please make sure you empty all caches and/or purge cdn files after publishing a post and check the cache plugin you’re using for an option to re-cache when publishing new stories.
Concerning W3 Total Cache plugin you under ‘Page Cache’, tick the box called ‘Preload the post cache upon publish events’.

This sort option brings random posts regardless of the previous ones so there could appear duplication. If you need another approach on this you would need additional customization.

Hi,
That happens because the setting you currently use has been changed in the latest update. It’s enough to go to theme panel >categories and set the category template: http://screencast.com/t/JmI2zZx8xoV make sure you clear the cache, purge cdn file if you’re using and test again.

Hello
Since updating wordpress the featured image does not load in editing or anywhere else. No matter what I’ve tried it won’t work. ALL settings are correct, featured image is enabled in post settings etc. I though maybe updating to newsmag 2.1 would help but it did not…
I cannot find any solution to this issue and it’s very frustrating, please help!

It seems to have to do with WP image selection, I was able (no idea how) to get into the old media screen which displays a list of images, you click on the image and it opens all the details and shows the featured image option with a ‘save button’ but I can’t get into that screen again. What’s wrong with the settings here?

Please try this without any plugins active, leave just theme’s plugins active, empty all caches and purge cdn filed if you’re using cdn host then test this again.
Please also test by updating a featured image then checked if it behaves in the same way as the rest do. Please let us know how this goes and if this still happens afterwards please give us wp access via email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can take a closer look at this and also provide a link to this conversation.

Hi, is there a way I can remove the “no comments” from the comments section on posts? I’m using the Facebook Comments plugin, but even when standard comments are disabled the text still shows. This can be misleading for visitors.

Hi,
If theme’s ‘nocomments’ still appears it means that the comments haven’t been disabled actually and they still appear but there aren’t any.
I’ve tested this using the latest theme version 2.1 by disabling the comments from theme’s panel: http://screencast.com/t/mhC7s5xBII which works fine.
Please make sure that you try this in the same way and you empty caches afterwards.

I wanted to know how to modify this code, to work with the gallerys. If I use it, the Gallery is broken maybe because of the tagdiv js or jquery. I use speed booster too.

Yes, unfortunately we have some technical issues and because of this the forum is not functional for the moment. This problem will be solved as soon as possible.
I’m not sure because the code you’ve pasted here is a bit scrambled: http://screencast.com/t/BITuVptokpRY but you could try it without the speed booster plugin or use the plugin which moves js and css resources to the footer and it’s designed in the same proposes.

Hi there,
Great work on the theme, I have been using this theme for a client and it has been working great. Over the last couple of days I have noticed posts have not be showing images randomly. All post have an image and sometimes show and sometime do not. Every post has an image display when you view the post, just not in thumbs and the box grid box and the recent posts list.

Have you come across this problem before?

Please make sure you empty all caches and purge cdn files then check this again. If this problem persist try to update the image thumbs which aren’t working or try to use a plugin like AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ajax-thumbnail-rebuild/ to rebuild all theme’s thumbs.

Commenting out and the other method of adjusting the aspect ratio seem to have no effect at all.

If you use the SpeedBooster plugin the theme loads the minified version of the file, try to disable SpeedBooster and see if the modifications are active.
If they work you have to make the same modification inside the minified file – http://screencast.com/t/mFfm5ePyC3K
The best solution for this would be to modify the code inside the default js file, minify it and replace the code inside the minified js file. For minification use this tool – https://closure-compiler.appspot.com/home
