Issue: Turning off By Line: Show Date in Extras theme options causes the reviews widget to display incorrectly in sidebar / footer. Can you look into for next update? Would like to not show dates.

Hey, in the drag & drop builder there is module a which shows 3 posts aligned, I want to make another module that shows 4 aligned much like module-a, but currently module-a only allows for posts in increments of 3.
Could you let me know how I could add a module that allows for increments of 4 instead of 3 (I’m good with the CSS styling, just need to know where to add the settings), or if this will be something you will add at some point.

Hope you’re well! I’m afraid that is actually a lot more complicated than it may seem. You will need to edit the module file to output 4 per line and then add the relevant responsive CSS to the new output. And it’s potentially quite a long customization job (multiple hours or more), so you would need to hire a developer to help you out with it, and I’d recommend looking for one on http://studio.envato.com which is run by the same people who run Themeforest.

It sounds like that plugin is installing an outdated version of FontAwesome and causing the problem. The theme uses the latest version so if you want to add icons to the menu, all you need to do is go on http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/ and copy/paste the icon code of whatever code you want to use and paste it in the menu item title, and that’s it

Ah yes, this is a permissions quirk that occurs on Multisite installations, but it’s really easy to fix. Simply install the plugins manually, the zip files are located in 15zine/library/admin/extensions

I actually didn’t expect to like this theme as much as I did. Really awesome job, and support is also really good.
Few things though. Could see them a suggestion for future updates.
1) Is it possible to make only a sidebar, (or only homepage) dark themed? Wanted to have a full dark theme in the beginning but people said no since it’s hard to read.
2) Make sidebar sticky in mobile devices also?
Then this theme would be 11/10 for me!

1- You can indeed, just copy/paste the follow CSS into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS:

And change the value to your desired color.
2- On mobile devices the sidebar appears after the content area, why/how are you thinking sticky would work? It doesn’t make sense to me

Thx, and yeah I am usually on tablets. I was on landscape tablet mode and it didn’t scroll down with me.
Some sites do let it scroll down so it should be possible
Oh and also need to change the sidebar widget titles to white. Kinda hard to read black on black
Ah yes, sticky sidebars are not set to run on tablets as when I wrote the code, a lot of touch screens/tablets didn’t run Javascript when scrolling, meaning the effect would be jumpy and not very good for UX. However, Apple recently added this ability in a recent iOs version, so a lot of others will follow suit too. I will expand the functionality to run in a future update for sure.
And try:

For titles. And for links/text try:

1. Is it possible to make the main menu deeper? It is 3 levels deep now and I need at least one more since my menu is not that simple and consists of over 100 elements.

1- Hosting companies have limits to the size of menus, so you will need to contact them when you eventually hit a limit (your menu will stop saving changes you make). However, the theme’s code is only set to show 3 horizontal lines of menus, as more than that is pretty bad or user experience.
2- I’m afraid not, the widths are designed on a column of 12 (1/3 columns) and the widths are controlled by the sidebar style you choose.

I have my menu already set up, it’s been set up this way for a couple of years. Once I switched to 15zine theme, it’s a little messed up. I have just reformated it a little so I don’t need 4 levels deep – 3 is enough. It still doesn’t display very well however, could you please take a look at http://DOROTA.iN and check “PRZEPISY” tab, scrolled across it, trying to see the deeper levels?

And once more regarding the width: Could you please compare the post at http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/design/parallax-story-post/ and one of mine, e.g. http://DOROTA.iN/ciasto-z-malinami/. I think both are 1200 px but mine, however, seems to have the column with text wider. It is much easier to read when it is not that wide.
Found the solution for the post width in global posts settings. Mine was NO SIDEBAR Site-width and yours is NO SIDEBAR only .

Hi Dear Cubell! I think I have the same problem: http://themeforest.net/comments/10630614. I have LOGO IN MAIN NAVIGATION MENU -> on, SHOW HEADER AREA ON SMALL SCREEN DEVICES -> off and SHOW LOGO IN MENU ON SMALL SCREEN DEVICES -> on. Yet still sometimes on my phone I see both logos visible, one under another. Looks like it’s random: sometimes I see both of them, sometimes just the one, proper, meant for small screen devices.
Could you please take a look at http://DOROTA.iN, click on the menu to see how it looks for categories and single posts? I can send you some screenshots if you need them.
Also when on smartphone, I click the menu icon and the X button in the top right corner is not visible so I can’t close the menu.

Hi Cubell! Yes, I am testing it on a real phone and a real tablet. Both Apple using Safari. As I mentioned, it is random – sometimes I see one logo, sometimes I see two of them. Even for the same post.

I see, you can force the logo to disappear on mobile by adding this custom CSS:
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
#logo { display :none; }
}
That should fix it.

Hi Cubell! It doesn’t help, unfortunately. Still see some posts or categories with two logos at the top. It’s like the template didn’t know they were displayed on smartphone. These posts with two logos look exactly like posts displayed on my laptop screen, when I shrink the browser window.

The WordPress pagination means they are normal links, so when you click one, the page essentially loads again (but with the content of the next page). This is good as a slider or ajax effect won’t be tracked by Analytics, so your pageviews may not be completely accurate. However, if you’d like slideshow way, I recommend getting a premium slider to do that, as they work really well and can do that and much more. I’d recommend looking on CodeCanyon for them, here is the link to the WordPress slider section:

The Mobile version seems to not fit the page. I am using a iPhone 6 and whenever I open the menu the back box (specially the x to close) is too far right. When you try to adjust the screen to be able to x, then the whole page gets messy. Help please.

Thanks for that. I just a question about the favicon. I cannot find an option to add via the theme, am I missing something, or should I just install a plugin. The favicon option can be found in Theme Options -> Extras.
And regarding the social share buttons, the theme uses the official social network scripts/buttons, as this is what they want. They don’t actually allow you to create/use custom logos/buttons for that (despite most sites on the net doing it). If you want to do that though, you can turn the theme’s social sharing block off in the theme option and then install any free or paid plugin with buttons that you like.

I just found a few small bugs if you could me and have one last question, sorry to be a pain. I’m using the site with the 1020px width, and the top of the post image does not line up with the top of the widget. Also when scrolling down the widget snaps in to the menu at the top and the bottom, again only with the 1020px configuration.
Also I just had one last question, is there any code I could use to remove the gap above the post image when viewed on a mobile device like an iPhone. Currently there is a small gap, I wanted to have either no gap of the same gap as used on the home page for the grid 4 setup for example.

Hi thanks, I read through some of the comments and I found turning off the MINIFY JAVASCRIPT helped the issue.
About the gap above the image, what I mean is when a post is viewed on an iPhone using the FEATURED IMAGE STYLE, (standard and standard no crop) there is a gap above the image. Is it possible to remove this gap with css.

Regarding the sidebar not sticking, if they don’t work it means that your site’s Javascript has been broken. This is 99% of the time caused by an outdated/badly-written/badly-setup plugin, so try disabling them all to test.

If you have a regular post with several photos, you can click on them and they open in a lightbox. But is there an option to scroll (<- or ->) through all the photos of that post after you opened one of them in a lightbox?

There sure is! You just need to give photos a common rel value. So edit your images when editing the post, go to advanced and give the rel a random word such as “mygallery” and they will all be linked.

Thanks for checking out 15Zine and for the kind words.
You could add a line of code to the header.php to make it appear on load, and a line of CSS to hide the X, however, if a user presses “escape” on the keyboard or clicks on the black background the modal also goes away. And to stop that you’d have to also edit the Javascript code. I could probably help with a bit of that, but that type of customizations goes well beyond the scope of my free support policy, so you may need to hire a developer to help you out with some of it.

There is an option in the Theme Options -> Extras to turn off parts of the by line, including the views.
The homepage’s pagination has to be the global one, as that is what WordPress creates for a homepage. The only way to omit certain posts from it is to install a plugin such as: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-category-excluder/ which you can set to exclude certain categories from it, in case you already showed them in a module before.

Nevertheless, even though I have clicked: Show comments icon and number of comments in By Line and putted disqus FORUM SHORTNAME in custom code, there is no information about number of comment of the posts from the homepage. I have it after entering the post, but not from the main one.
How I can add the number of disqus comments to the post from homepage?

The search results are controlled by WordPress, so if you can’t see any, it either means there are literally no results for the search term you put in, or a plugin may be causing problems to the search system, try disabling them all to test.

Ah you mean pages! Pages are usually not desirable to appear in searches (privacy policy, terms, etc), however, in v2 I have added an option in the theme options to make the search show pages too.
