A new client asked me to update their site. They had the Samba theme, but the original web developer never gave them the license info. I told them to just buy the theme and they did so in the last few days, forwarding me the file they downloaded. their website currently has Samba version 1.7. When trying to update to version 4.9, I get the following error:

why i cant install the theme on wordpress i downloaded the zip file for wordpress and the file with all the files also but wordpress cant install the item when i am browsing zip files i Tried many times and i receive just a failure notice

I’ve read other comments about Visual Composer updates. VC has some pretty nice add-ons, but they won’t work with 4.3, which seems lightyears behind 4.7, is there anything that can be done about this? Or maybe provide coding change for users to want to upgrade.

I am having trouble using plugins with this theme. I was having a problem with page loading – after clicking a link content would not load. Only after refreshing the page would content appear on the page. After deactivating plugins, I had no problems with page loading. When I went back and activated them, the problem started to happen again. Is there a solution to this, or are we not allowed to use plugins with the site?

Using WPML I can translate all my pages no problem except my contact page will only keep things in the second language (Chinese.) It even puts the bottom left “All rights reserved” item in Chinese.

I have done all the string translation and saved the translation as “complete” and it shows the translation, but won’t keep the original English on the English page.

Hi Pirenko, I will like to pay you for one hour of your time to fix an issue I am having with a share plugin.

If you visit my website, you will see the share plugin: www.creativesolvibrations.com The plugin usually works on the homepage, but other times it doesn’t. When you hover over the share buttons, you will see the share count of that particular network, while at the very end of the share networks, it shows total amount of shares combined. Also, on post page the share counts do not work unless the page is reloaded. The only problem is share counter-the buttons work.

Hello,

The javascript errors are not caused by our plugin – we cannot say what is causing them but it was caused by theme or another plugin. You use a cache plugin and sometimes a full cache clean can fix the problem – usually cache plugin may cause the problem like this when content is not properly initialized.

We check right now the work of site and once we make a cache wipe we notice that errors disappear. We also log the work of ajax load event and we notice that once page is loaded it does not load the counters update which is required to display total counter. The javascript you need to call once the event of ajax load of page is completed is:

$(’.essb_links.essb_counters’).essb_get_counters(); $(’.essb_links.essb_counters’).essb_update_counters();

That lines of code will make counters refresh once page is completely loaded in AJAX event.

I’ve tried adding the code myself to: main.js, main-min.js and other.js, but no luck. As I mentioned, I’d like to pay you for one hour.

I contacted the plugin author about this issue, and he said: The issue is because there is an inbuilt version of Visual Composer (or the related code) present in your theme which is overriding the standalone plugin version and hence causing the issue. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.

Wondering if there is anyway to update Visual Composer. I need to be able to use the responsive column control width settings (http://vc.wpbakery.com/video-academy/responsive-column-control-width-offset-param-usage-explained/). Great theme, this is the only issue I’ve faced so far!
