I use the Fashion theme.
In Woocommerce settings under products, they write that Product pictures settings should be accurate for a correct display of the images in my catalog.
What are the size for:
Catalog pictures? Single product picture? Product Thumbnails?

1. If I for ex. would like to change the image size of the Single product image – The way to do it would be to correct it in the Fashion theme options and then change it in the Woocommerce settings, or?
2. Can I change the appearance of the way Catagory show in the shop? Maybe in the CSS? do you know where exactly?

1. The catalog pictures are the ones in 4 rows? And the single product picture is the one with the thumbnails next to them?
2. Should I always upload my product pictures in the accurate size set up in the theme? Or are the pictures automatically being fit to the theme size when uploaded?

4. I would like to resize the product pictures(both catalog and the single): how and where do I change the product pictures size and still get a sharp look?
I get a little confused about where to change the size: in the theme options or in Woocommerce.. or both?

1— Yep.
2— You just upload them on the best size that you have and the theme will automatically will create their thumbnail sizes on the sized that is needed.
3— If you change (modify) thumbnail sizes, you need this plugin to force theme to create new thumbnails with the sizes that you have typed.
4— WooCoomerce > Products > Display > Product Images.

Hi, I am thinking in buying this theme to implement a bookstore. All the themes I used in the past never have a proper Author “element” implemented. Author is always a category or a product tag and not a main entry. The author list and book list is an important section in any bookstore or publisher site… I see you have a “Author of the Month” section in your demo. My question is: is that section static or the author featured (and his/her info) can be changed automatically? And how it selects the books from the authors? Thanks
I see. Is there a visual composer element that presents products (in this case books) from a certain category or tag? Another question, I tried to seach by author in your demo and the results are always empty. I presume the author is a custom field and not searchable. Can this be modified? Is there any solution to search the author name of an entry? Thanks

You have very old version of Visual Composer and you need to update it to the version 4.6.2.
Please don’t forget to update Plugins on each update.
You can do that by going to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

I’ve installed Aurum with The Bookstore. I imported the demo content, some content appears, but some pages don’t match the content I see on the online demo. For example, the Books page displays the header and footer, but no content. I’m not seeing sidebars for filtering the categories, and product grid, etc.

To translate/rename theme strings, you can do this via Loco Translate plugin. If you don’t have this plugin, please install and activate it in your WordPress site.
1. Then go to Loco Translate > Manage Translations
2. Click “New Language” for the current active theme (if you didn’t created it yet, otherwise ignore this step). On the new language page, choose these options – click here http://d.pr/i/1ewoc
3. After that you will be redirected to the editing screen for theme translations. Before you continue make sure this is true – click here http://d.pr/i/18h0w
4. Follow these instructions to learn how to translate strings – http://d.pr/i/1jsek
5. The changes will be applied immediately – http://d.pr/i/1ju6w
Note: Translation files will be saved to wp-content/themes/{theme-name}/languages folder. Here you have the explanation – http://d.pr/i/1lBCJ
After you make your changes, always save a backup when there is new theme update. After you update the theme (languages folder will be replaced), just move the backup files you previously saved to the same languages directory and your changes will still be applied.

I’ve updated both. For visual composer I followed ur instructions from the previous comment
1. Go to Plugins, find “WPBakery Visual Composer” plugin (relevant plugin you want to update).
2. Click “Deactivate”, when page refreshes click “Delete” on the same plugin.
3. Go to Appearance > Install Plugins, find the Visual Composer (or relevant) plugin click Install then Activate.
4. Everything is done.
It update to version 4.6.2, but I keep receiving a message that version is 7.4.2 is available. I’ve trying to update again but it didn’t help. So the Visual Composer is not causing problem there.
WPBakery Visual Composer don’t allow us to give customers our license number, so on each premium plugin such as Visual Composer, Revolution Slider and Layer Slider update we release a new update to our theme with the latest version of that plugin included, and customers don’t need to worry about that,
You never need to buy any premium plugins that comes with our theme
So when we will release a new update to Aurum we will update our premium plugins too

That is how we have made them to appear on our theme, and this is not a bug or something.
If you want to change the social icon color when you hover there please add the code below to Custom CSS

Hello, I have an issue with the shopping cart icon on the top right. When I hover over it, and select “View Cart”, the link does not do anything (it actually links to the page that I am currently on). For example, if I am on the home page, the “View Cart” link actually links to the home page rather than the cart. Any suggestions for this? Seems like an easy fix.

All these questions you’re asking about have to do with WordPress management and not with the theme.
1. Go to Settings > General and select the anyone can register field.
2. You can see users on the left side on the Users menu.
3. I don’t know which kind of newsletters you’re talking about, for the newsletter you will need a plugin for that.
