Today I was looking at another theme on Envato and the same thing happened! This means the problem wasn’t with your theme but Envato. I did “remove frame” and it worked fine. Later, to confirm it I opened your theme (newpaper) and the same problem.. dark screen while trying to scroll down. Did “Remove frame” and things worked fine. You may want to report it to envato.

You don’t need to worry, we have provided the secure version of the VC plugin in our latest update so just make sure you update the theme to its latest version available on themeforest (2.2.1) then the VC plugin to its latest version (4.7.4) which is provide within the theme and which is safe.

That is the normal behavior on tablet screens onclikc the submenu items open and on another click they close.

3. Yes, that can be done using custom css.

4. If you refer to this main content area: http://screencast.com/t/NRvQMh4Zf then please note that it can be done but just with major custom changes to theme’s grid system so this is complex task with lots of testings which we do not recommend.

I meant the bbpress plugins is tested, recommended and compatible and you can use it to built your forum using the newsmag theme. We can offer assistance in this process but we advise you to document on how to build a forum on wp using the bbpress plugin and you can find online tutorials in this regard:

The newsmag theme doesn’t have any feature or option for a newsletter, for that you would have to use a plugin like mail chimp or a similar one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/

The ‘Automatic Social Media Update’ functionality isn’t available also withing the theme so you would have to search for a plugin in its regard, unfortunately we haven’t tested any plugins with that functionality so I can’t recommend you one and guarantee it will work with the theme.

1. I see you use W3TC plugin so you could try to use this setting under ‘Page Cache’ > Tick the box called ‘Preload the post cache upon publish events’ and select the categories you want to purge.

3. Please make sure that you use the latest theme version and the latest version of the plugin which is 3.0 then update it and for that make sure that you change the Instagram user with another (you can sue coca cola’s for ex: http://screencast.com/t/ZLpRPoP4zP0 ) the counter should update now and the right number of follows should appear and then you can switch back to your own user having the right number of followers.

We also haven’t considered adding an auto-loading feature for posts however I’ll note your request and consider it for future theme updates if more will ask for this.

The problem occurs with one image? or more? Please check the resolution on the featured images for which this happens, i suspect their width is smaller than the width of the thumb and wordpress doesn’t have an upscale function. Hi, it is the case of image resolution. It happens with all the images which have smaller width. And the problem started only when I updated the theme with September update, earlier all these images were showing properly. I have one more site where I am using Newspaper theme, but there is no problem with that, though I have not updated it with latest version.

Try to delete the current Visual Composer (if you have any installed) and install it from Newsmag -> Plugins – http://screencast.com/t/InkPMEbBRC

If you want to install a custom version (from a file) make sure you install the right file, unzip it and see if it contains the plugin or it’s a package and the plugin file is inside it.

If the site goes blank when you install VC try to increase wordpress memory from wp-config.php, add the following line:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M' );
