1. The countdown is part of header 7 and some other headers as well. The headers are pre-built. You can however override it via a child theme.

2. Sir, please do understand that it is not possible to bundle “a half” revoluton slider plugin. Obviously there is a mistake somewhere and I am available to look into the issue.

I do not claim the theme to absolutely free of flaws ( no developer can claim that for any theme and thats why we keep receiving updates for softwares). We have also put in our years of experience into building this theme and we address all our flaws reported. I took the liberty of downloading the WP Theme again .. I even decrypted the portions that your Mac had encrypted and tested it again on a closed system. (sometimes decrypting a build that was developed on a Mac in an internet cafe somewhere can cure a lot of problems)

We can call on the child in various situations all day long, but if it doesn’t work out of the box without the child, then I see this as a problem. Your write shouldn’t have to include work arounds right out of the box. The Theme is flawed. I’ve purchased and downloaded some really good things from Themeforest, their record of providing quality builds is well noted, as most of it’s authors are responsible and experienced.

You shouldn’t ever have to depend on the child theme to resolve the underlying issues of a build. There was only one other time I had a problem with a build purchased from Themeforest and I didn’t say anything with regard to the problems I had with it. Flatmagazine WP Theme was eventually removed, and here I sit with a Theme that is essentially worthless. I’m not going to let that happen again.

1. There are no encrypted files in the theme we are selling. The source code is GPL 2.0 like the WP core itself. There are 2 plugins that are bundled and distributed under Extended license of Envato. There is no need to decrypt anything.

2. We have tried to make sure that our customers require minimum effort to setup the theme and bring it close to the demos we have exhibited. I think that is out of the box. If you want to customize it further, we have made every function of the parent pluggable and easily overridden with actions and filters. The child themes are there exactly for this reason.

3. There are no functions of the theme that depend on child, in fact its the other way around.

4. I have answered your questions on Events, Donations and Slider plugins. You mentioned the timer is absurd and I have asked to provide screenshots so that we can help you fix it.

5. If you have any other questions or there is a bug that needs to be fixed, we are here to support it.

6. We update our theme regularly and include suggestions from our customers. We have updated our theme today which now includes an option to turn ON/OFF event timer, thank you for the input.

7. If you’d like to have a feature included please let us know and we’ll see if it is feasible to include.

One of the straight forward way is to just copy this file and its folder structure templates/headers/header-7.php into your child theme like bethlehem-child/templates/headers/header-7.php and then remove lines 22-40 and then edit the file.

Alternatively you can use CSS as well to hide the blocks.

The favicon is now part of WP’s in-built customization and themes that provide this option make it redundant. Envato does not approve new themes that overrides default favicon. Hence we’ll have to let WP’s default method overtake our theme options.

To change the favicon, you simply have to navigate to Apperance > Customize > Site Identity and add your favicon.

this was an issue with my API settings, so once I hit submit it was being held up because of this. Nothing to do with your Theme. Once i corrected the settings it works

I deleted the plugin from the File Manager, reinstalled it but now it wont activate due to this error, the plugin was just updated about an hour ago??

Good morning. It was a holiday yesterday in this part of the world so could’nt get back to you earlier.

Yes, the single event page does not have a widgetized sidebar. The reason being the 2 blocks that appear in the sidebar are dependant on the individual event and we decided to rule against a widgetized sidebar. Sidebars usually have a blocks independent of the content area. Here the questions section uses the contact email that you give while creating the event and the map uses the location you give while create the event. This is the reason behind us not creating a widgetized sidebar.

Now that we have your feedback. I’d like to know more about your requirements on this and that will help me make this area.

1. Do you wish to have different widgets here in this sidebar ?

2. Or do you want to completely remove it ? You can alternatively hide the sidebar using CSS like .tribe-events-single-sidebar { display: none; }

3. You can also override the file by placing a tribe-events/single-event.php file in your child theme.

If 2 and 3 are your requirements, we can simply use CSS or overrides. If 1 is your primary requirement, I will have to widgetize the sidebar area.

Let me know your thoughts and thank you so much for your inputs. It helps us perfect our theme.

i removed it from the PHP, I think it would be better to have a widget as a sidebar for more control, that would be my preference.

1. This issue has been identified and fixed in our version 1.0.1 which is available for download since Monday. You can update the theme using Envato Toolkit.

2. I can see what you mean. I will check this and get back to you as soon as possible. I will also provide you with a fix if required.

3. The section you are referring is called “Navigation links”. You can override the navigation links by pasting this code in your child theme’s functions.php

From lines 11-13, you will notice the code to link to sermons, you can remove it to get rid of media link. Please make sure you use child theme to make all your custom changes.
