Thank you for your interest on purchasing and using our theme!
Unfortunately I can’t give you an accurate answer concerning any of these plugins because we haven’t tested the theme with any of them so I can’t guarantee they will work flawless with the theme.
I can say though about the Events Calendar plugin that it is often used by theme’s users so I believe, you could use it also, without issues, but concerning the others I can’t give you a precise answer. Sorry!

Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if the view counter is increment properly. Maybe it is a plugin that cause this issue.

Do you refer to the Big Grid on category page? In this case it can be removed from Theme Panel > Categories globally or for each category – http://screencast.com/t/9dyfIAyIyC If you have issues with this and your settings are not saved please check the max_input_vars value in System Status section: http://screencast.com/t/V8MumQISR and make sure that it’s set above 2000. Here you can find a guide to make this change in php.ini file – http://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Contact your host provider and let him know about this if you can’t access php.ini file.

I mentioned, that there is a shiny effect on some images. Can I have this effect on all images in every content part? Are there other effects?

Do you refer to the lazy load animation feature for images? This effect animation allows you to animate your theme images as you scroll, from top to the bottom and for next/prev pagination on block. There are 3 effects available in panel – http://screencast.com/t/KHA8isnyEF8z and they are available for both themes.

Why in the Top menu the link when click on a user nothing happens ,and you have in the demo was to switch to the user page ?

I have tested this only with theme’s plugins active and did not found any issues. It should work also in your case, when you click on the author it should take you to the author page – http://screencast.com/t/Ma0OMy6x So please check this only with Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if the issue persist. If the issue is gone please activate your plugins one by one and see which one cause this issue.

Change the page navigation instead of page numbers just to < PREVIOUS PAGE NEXT PAGE > 2. Whether it is possible to put the page navigation at the top and bottom instead of just at the bottom. can we use Facebook videos embed code in video post type ?

The featured video spot supports only youtube, vimeo and daily motion url, I guess that this is what you mean. Unfortunately this is how this feature was designed to pull also the video thumbnail(to be used on modules), so if you use another url it will not work, sorry.

I was just wondering if there’s any way I can change the social sharing icons. I don’t mind their size, but I don’t like the shadows, and the colors seem a bit off. Is there any way I can modify the social sharing icons?

Unfortunately for share buttons it is not used an icon, it is a background image and the image already has a shadow so there is not a css code to modify. A solution is to change the image for each social share button using custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css – http://screencast.com/t/YfqMfGYbq

That method only changes the logo instead of the whole icon.
You said that it’s a background image. Couldn’t I just change the background image?
Alternatively, do you think I could de-activate the theme’s social sharing, then add a different social sharing through a plugin?

Can anyone tell me how to use my google adSense ads? I am placing the code int the proper section in the theme panel, but nothing appears. it’s been 2 days but still no ads.
Hi,
Like you already know it may take a while until your ads to appear(even a few days) and you can try this also without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and check again. The theme just renders the adsense code that it is added in the panel spots and make it responsive.
You can also test your ad code using a WordPress text widget to place the ad into your page or sidebar, if your ad code works/was approved this widget should show you ads.
If the ad doesn’t show up even if you paste the code in a text widget please go trough the adsense troubleshooter pasted below and contact your ad provider: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/1208336?hl=en

It would be great if you could add a page template that allows for full browser width layouts. This would enable a lot more homepage flexibility and also landing pages for products.

Unfortunately Newsmag has an fixed grid layout, responsive as it is fluid and style for desktop/tables/mobile screens. Changing the grid’s width is not an easy job and you would need lots of custom modifications for it, as you need to change the width value for all elements on pages. I will add this on our list and when we will change the theme’s layout we will consider your request. For the moment we don’t plan to do any changes to the theme width.

I guess that you don’t have any issue using the main theme so please make sure that you also update the child theme, as we have changed the system from version 2.0 here you can find read more about the child theme and the files that can be managed using it – http://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
If you need to update the child theme, you can find it in the /code folder from files that you download from themeforest – http://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-whats-included/ and re-add modifications.

Just saw that the frontend editor is disabled for the theme. Is this something that will eventually be resolved? Just purchased a couple of VC addons that I was excited to use, but without the frontend editor using VC is a major chore. Really takes away a lot of functionality. Thinking about just abandoning the theme altogether and finding a theme that supports the full VC.

The Visual Composer provided with the theme is full/unmodified, but unfortunately we have to disable the frontend editor as it creates some issues for tagdiv blocks(it doesn’t work with them). If you use more Visual Composer elements, you can remove this code from theme functions to activate the frontend editor – http://screencast.com/t/o8tlhjUyh

Thank you for showing where to disable that. Could I still use the tagDiv blocks on posts/pages where I don’t use VC? Or does enabling that break tagDiv blocks throughout the theme?
Also, is it possible to enable the frontend functionality while designing, and then disable it again after the design is done so that it doesn’t break tagDiv blocks? Perhaps that could even be a built in solution for the theme.

No, the tagdiv blocks will not work when the Visual Composer plugin is disabled, as the VC is a required plugin for our themes. Our blocks where not designed for frontend editor(just like I said above) and you can use this only for Visual Composer elements. So you can remove the code from functions file so this feature will be active and just be aware about the fact that it will not work for tagdiv blocks.
