Hey, I asked you to another site to buy large package if possible to require customers to design new templates for a new job, what do you say? Or all sites are the same, rather than selling them all
Hey there,
Not sure what you mean here by ‘large package’ , could you ask it in a different way?
Apologies, Craig
Ahh I see what you mean, no this isn’t possible with the extended license. It does not allow you to charge access to the builder for your own customers.
Hi, how do I change the strength of the smooth scrolling on the mouse wheel? I found the file in question is parallax.js but not sure what part to edit? thanks!
Hi, we don’t recommend changing the scroll speed due to the way it interacts in different browsers and as such there is no option to do this.
Hi, I’d like to add a CC header to my email forms, will you aid me on this.
Hi, yes this is easy to add using the built in functions of SwiftMailer. There is a setCc function to add a Cc recipient. If you would like assistance with integrating this, please open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com.
James
Would’ve been nice if you could’ve just answered that here.
Thanks for opening a ticket – we like to keep all support related queries centralised on Ticksy so that other customers can benefit from the support – it provides a more organised way to browse solutions.
Thankyou for your patience.
Hi, Pre-sale questions to be answered if you have time. 1. Is there a way to bring all of the elements using Variant to create a “one page” website where when you click on the links at the top you can slide down to that area of the page? I know you do that with anchors and most likely have to code it in html, but is this theme set up for that with the javascript already included?
2. Is there a way to keep the nav bar showing when you scroll down the page with this theme? These pages get pretty long when adding in so many elements along with the big margins included with each space.
3. Is there anything in this theme that adds an arrow or button on the bottom right that allows the user to jump back up to the top? If answer two is yes, it would not be necessary I suppose.
Thanks! I wish people in here would post links to their finished sites when using this theme to see what is possible for the rest of us
Hey there,
1. Yes you can do this with Foundry, the one page scrolling via anchors is an inbuilt feature.
2. Yes, the nav bar will pop in once the user has scrolled past the first section, then the nav will have standard ‘sticky’ bar behaviour.
3. There is a back to top button that appears at the bottom of the page, but you could instead choose to make this stick to the page at all times if you wanted – this would require a minor CSS tweak.
4. We’ve actually got a ‘Made with Foundry’ showcase planned to you’ll be able to see some of the fantastic results that our customers have achieved using Foundry so stay tuned for this!

Cheers, Craig
Thanks, Craig. My first Envato purchase of 2016!

No worries, thanks for purchasing Foundry! If you need further assistance you can reach us at our dedicated support forum mediumrare.ticksy.com
Thanks again!

Hello, I’m already a user of Machine and Pivot HTML themes, nice themes by the way, and I’m planning to use Foundry for a next project. Before buying it, I want to know if it’s possible to add Social Media icons on top of the pages, in addition to the ones that appear at the pages bottom.
It should be in a way that won’t be deleted by future theme updates.
Thank you,
Daniel
Hey Daniel,
You could use the extra bar at the top of the inner pages (example here: http://foundry.mediumra.re/page-about-us-2.html and then place the social links ul in there.
Cheers, Craig
Hi There, image use inoverlay fullscreen parallax image-bg class does not display properly on Firefox, I mean, the image I use as background image is not visible.
Any thoughts ?
thanks
benjamin
Hey Benjamin,
Thanks for your patience while we were away for New Years. Would you mind opening a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com witha link to your site so I can see what might be going on?
Thanks, Craig
Hi, i created a landing page using variant builder. But the problem is it is not mobile responsive. How do i make it to be mobile responsive?
the images is not responsive i mean
Hey there,
The template uses CSS background-size: cover property to position the background – this means that the cropping of the image relies on the height of the element, so you may need to slightly adjust the height of your element using a media query. If you’d like to open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com we can help out there
Thanks, Craig
How do I place 2 form elements side by side? I’m trying to place 2 “select-option” input on the same line next to each other as oppose to underneath each other.
Hey there,
You can use Bootstrap’s columns to do this, place the two inputs in a ‘row’ div, then place each input in a ‘col-sm-6’ div so they each take up 50% width.
Cheers, Craig
Hello, is it possible to receive the .psd files for this theme? Have been waiting to use it – it’s beautiful. thank you for your attention!
Hey there,
The .psd files for Foundry aren’t a perfect representation of the HTML version so I fear these may not be of much help to you.
Craig
thank you Craig, can we get a link to pull those down?
Hey there,
Send an email to support@mara.co and we can reply with the link to download
We have tried emailing twice to the email listed above; we would like a repsonse please and/or a direct link to download what .psd you have available. thank you
Apologies, the email address is support@mrare.co . Alternatively you can open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com. Looking forward to assisting you.
A common-ish request from clients: Portfolio cards like these: http://riot.design/en/portfolio/
Hey Rob,
Awesome – thanks for this suggestion, we’ll include these in an update
Hello, I have some pre-purchase questions:
Can I save my template and edit later? Can I make my custom blocks and integrate it with the builder?
Thanks.
Hey there,
You can save for later editing – but you aren’t able to integrate custom blocks into the builder just yet.
Thanks for considering
Craig
I’m new to this template. If I download a page to edit the html, how do I get that back into variant to work on it some more? I understand that I can’t upload .html to variant. #2 Can I save in .variant then edit that file? how?
Hey there,
You can create and edit your pages in Variant and save them as .variant files to edit later, but the builder can’t yet import pure HTML. So the HTML editing would be the last step in your customisation process before deploying the site
Hope this helps!
Craig
So there’s no way to change font sizes (which have an impact on the page layout) without leaving variant (and never coming back)?
I understand I can change the css but if I want to change the style of one paragraph, I have to leave variant and go the html – right? This isn’t very flexible.
Hi there CJ, yes in this case you would need to leave Variant. Although you do have access to standard and lead paragraph sizes using the in-built classes.
Hi there,
I was trying out the demo builder, and didn’t see an option for placing the navigation bar as a side navigation bar. Is it possible to position the navigation bar to the left side of the page instead of being fixed at the top of the page?
Hey there,
You can use the offscreen navigation which places the nav on the right side of the screen via a toggle but there is no left sidebar navigation.
Thanks, Craig
Hi Craig, Ok, no problem, thanks for the reply!
No worries
Hey!
I am loving the template but I have a question regarding the lightbox on the simple lightbox grid. Is it possible to have an image show on the grid then when you click it and the lightbox appears its has an embedded youtube video to play? If so, how do you recommend making that work?
Thank you for your help!
Best, Kevin
Hey Kevin,
You might be better off using the modals functionality to achieve this, rather than the lightbox feature – you can see this at work on the elements-modals.html page of the template
Cheers, Craig
Hi there, great theme! Is it possible to receive the PSD files too? I noticed in previous comments they look a little different from the final html but that’s fine with me
Thanks!
Hi, another quick question. We want to collaboratively work on designing with Variant and Foundry with multiple people. Is it possible to upload the Variant files to a server and be able to save them there for multiple people to see/edit? Do you have any suggestions for the best way to achieve this? Thanks!
Yes, if each person uploads their edited .variant file back to the same spot, in a way that others can identify which is the newest, then you can just open it on your local machine and work on it. If all the images are on the server copy of Variant, you would do better to use that, since you won’t need to sync the image and video assets. Currently there is no way to save from Variant to a server, so you will need to save the latest .variant file manually back to the server – and be careful who is working at which time, so changes aren’t overwritten. Variant is designed as a locally-run single user program, but with a couple of precautions, you could achieve what you’re hoping
James
Great, thanks for that! Is it still possible to receive the PSD files for the theme? Cheers
Hey there,
Yes you can leave your email and I’ll send them to you.
Cheers James
Thanks, if you could send them to support@kiteflyr.co.nz that would be great!
Hi, the rounded buttons toggle doesn’t seem to be working on the latest release.
Hi, I’ve just tested in our latest code and the demo site and they are working. Would you mind please opening a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com so you can explain your problem in more detail?
Yes, no problem. I’ve worked out what the problem is, it’s maybe that my expectation was wrong. So, for example, the notify me button on the subscribe form submit didn’t change but I’ve adjusted this with CSS.
No worries, that toggle refers to any element with the class ’.btn’
Hello, I try with modal it show awesome. But one problem in if my content is too long, the modal is not scroll. it’s fixed in screen. Do you have any suggestion?
What I want is to click link and then it show the content in modal and user can scroll that modal to read it. Like this http://getbootstrap.com/javascript/#modals
Thank you, Sohn
You need to add a div inside the modal-container div and make it height 100% with overflow-y: scroll. Your content then goes in that div.
For further assistance please open a ticket at mediumrare.ticksy.com
James
Hi, james Today I try to open your link mediumrare.ticksy.com but google chrome show error “This webpage is not available”
Hey there,
That’s odd – we’ve been using Ticksy without issue – are you still experiencing this issue?
Today I visit your site again and it work now. I don’t know why that day I can’t open your website
I have reply back on the ticket i opened already. Please check
Thank you, Sohn
No problem Sohn
Thank you very much for your help
Now everything works so great. __
No problems Sohn, glad to help
Hi there,
Is it possible to show modal as pop-up automatically when ppl visit the website? Or any solution that I could do?
I would like to use as showing advertisement with image-background.
Thanks!
Hey there,
Yes you can! This is described in the documentation (Show Modal on Page Load) under the Modals section: http://foundry.mediumra.re/docs/foundry_docs/index.html
Cheers, Craig
Hi there, I’m interested in purchasing, when trying out the demo, is there an option to upload your own video instead of using vimeo and youtube?
For example, I have my own personal video, I uploaded it to my host, and I would like variant page builder to choose that video. Is that possible?
Thank you.
Hey there,
Thanks for considering Foundry!
Yes there is, these are the ‘local’ video options and you’d just need to replace the video files in the /video folder of the template
Craig
Is it possible to have fixed navigation on mobile?
Thanks, Darko
Hey there,
Yes you can add this to your custom.css:
@media all and (max-width: 767px){ nav{ position: fixed !important; } }
Cheers, Craig
