You have to delete current theme and upload latest version of the theme. If you have done any custom changes then take backup of all files and apply after uploading on latest version.

Hi – Just updated to 1.14 and lost my widget customizations. Saw your explanation of that, and ok I have those back. But I also lost the Sidebar option “Blog Sidebar” applied to all pages and posts. After the update, this option became “None” for all. I manually reset for the pages, and some important posts, but would like an easy fix for the hundreds of others. Is there a setting that I’m missing that will make “Blog Sidebar” the default for all pages and posts. Thanks in advance. (Otherwise, I love your theme.)

There is a note in theme update details which will help you to fix the issue.
Note : Before updating this version, please take backup of all widgets content because after this update all widgets content will be removed due to widget id changes. You will find all your widgets in left side bottom “Inactive Sidebar” list.

Hi – Sorry, I do not see what you’re referring to. Let me be more clear about the problem.
I lost the application of “Blog Sidebar” to all my pages and posts. This is the selectable option at the bottom of each page and post that says “Please select the sidebar you would like to display on this page.”
In the Customizer, I have (and had before the update) the “Blog, Default Blog Layout” set to “Sidebar Right”. I had every page and post set to “Blog Sidebar”. When first transitioning to your theme, I might have selected this for each page as I moved through the site. If I did it would have been a lot of work, but I needed to check each page and post individually anyway.
After this first theme update I performed today, this option became “None” for all. I now just manually reset this field for all the pages, and some important posts, but would like an easy fix for the hundreds of other posts. I hope there a setting that I’m missing that will make “Blog Sidebar” (or some sidebar) the default for all pages and posts. Thanks.

Please delete current “Sidebar Generator” plugin and re-upload it like you installed on first theme setup. If this will not fix the issue then please send your admin login details ( from our profile page form : http://themeforest.net/user/softwebmedia ) so we can debug with previous version of the theme.

How remove search in Breadcrumbs?
Search section is coed with breadcrumb so it will automatically hide with breadcrumb disable. If you only want to disable search then use below custom css style
.search_section { display:none; }
Or you can edit it from ../wp-content/themes/spiritual/includes/image-header.php file line #139 to 150
( we are adding this option in next update list so you can directly disable from customizer )

I recently purchased the Spiritual theme. The Events from the Demo content display just fine through The Events Calendar plugin. I added one new Event, and it displayed fine, but when I try to add any more events, not only will the single event post not display on the website, the full calendar page disappears. If I remove this same event, the calendar comes back up.
Reviewing the support thread of Plugin creator, they suggest testing for a conflict. The first thing they suggested was change to the Twenty Thirteen theme. I did that, and the Calendar worked, even with the events I created, whereas it wasn’t working when I was using the Spiritual theme. This made me think there was some sort of conflict involving the theme.

Default Page Template was selected which was creating issue. We changed it to “Default Event Page” and it works fine from Admin > Events > Settings > “Events Template” dropdown

Thank you. Something else has cropped up. Don’t know if it’s related to the change in the calendar or separate, but suddenly I’m not able to Edit my Menus. None of them show up in the Dashboard, even though the items show on the web.
It is not theme related issue but WordPress core file/database is affected. You can test it by switching it to default wordpress “Twenty Fifteen”.
Try turning off all plugins on your wordpress install and see if that helps. If its a plugin, re-activate theme one by one to find the cause of the issue. If you are still having issues, you may need to reinstall wordpress to get the wordpress files updated correctly.
Great theme, but I’m having trouble with the titles of blog posts appearing in white in the header area. I have already unchecked the “Enable Page Title” box, so it should not be appearing. I’m using the most recent version. Any help would be appreciated!

Please update to latest version of the theme and then go to admin > customizer > header and set header height to “0”
now disable breadcrumbs from admin > customizer> general > uncheck “Display Breadcrumbs Section”
This will hide header in all pages.
If you have done any custom changes in code or added css style then remove it to view given solution.

1. Go to ../wp-content/plugins/swm-church-shortcodes/post-types/sermons.php file’s line #29
You will find below code

Change “the-sermons” as per your requirement.
Now go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and click on “Save Changes” button to flush permalink ( to avoid 404 error page issue after changing slug names )
2. Please view video tutorials to use filter for changing “read more” text name. Sermons read more text filter is added in general-function.php file – function name : swm_sermons_read_more
You have to use child theme to use this filters feature.
3. This requires basic skill in php/html. Go to header.php line #101 to #130. Remove if else condition and only add revolution slider html code. ( use child theme to keep custom work during theme update )
I have problems with the pagination in the section sermons, say 404, Follow the steps: go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and click on “Save Changes” button to flush permalink and nothing.

Ach. The theme update took away my footer widget contents. My custom sidebars are still there…just the contents from the standard footer widget areas was deleted.

WordPress saves data as per theme name so any changes in theme folder name ( from ../wp-content/themes/theme-name ) or switching parent to child theme can remove widget settings. You can try debug issue by switching parent theme or keep original name in themes folder.

All I did, as you recommend, is I deleted the old parent theme folder (Spiritual) and uploaded the new folder via ftp. Folder names are the same.
I was able to restore a backup from yesterday of the theme files. Apparently, updating the theme messed it up (restoring just the database did not fix the issue).

There were no custom changes made. I’ve already corrected the problem. I’ll just wait for the next update before updating the theme any further.
Theme doesn’t store or delete widget content because It is stored in database. Can you give us more details, which widget data content was deleted?
I updated the WordPress install (to 4.4 I believe) and then updated the theme. The website was still working correctly when I updated the wordpress install. When I deleted the old Spiritual directory and copied the new theme files over to the Theme directory, I reloaded the site (wp.cacesl.org). When I scrolled to the bottom, instead of the content that I had there previously (which is also there now), it had paragraphs in each of the 5 footer widget area telling where to go on the site to change the widget contents and the number of widget areas.

I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience. We did little changes in last update in all widgets code. This changes was compulsory to upload theme on themeforest by review team to maintain code compatibility with latest version of WordPress.
You will back those widgets from left side “Inactive Sidebar” list.
We don’t like to make these changes but it was necessary and I hope you can understand it.

Thanks for the info. I re-uploaded and found the old widgets. Might not be a bad idea to include that info in the release notes (which I always read before updating to be sure it’s something I need to do) in the future.

Required plugin Revolution Slider’s update fails with “wrong URL” message. Please solve this problem.
Solved. Switched back to parent theme, updated, then switched back to child theme. I ran into the same issue earlier and did not take notes about it for it seemed such a common and simple action to take. Maybe it would be possible to give a hint for that situation in the updating process?

I need to translate all Spanish … How to change the words START, END, VENUE TICKET PRICE at the top and the words DETAILS (Date, Cost and Website), Organizer (Phone, Email, Website), VENUE (Phone, Website) of the bottom to Spanish ?. What are the values to change and where you should do?
You can edit words like “START, END, VENUE” from ../wp-content/themes/spiritual/tribe-events/single-event.php file.
Phone, Email, Website are coming from plugin files (../wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar) so you have to use plugin folder to search these words.
In TICKET PRICE in top did not appear the word free if I put the field to 0, would appear to me as before.
I not see exactly which file are the words Phone, Email, Website in plugin files (../wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar).
It is little complex to explain but you can download plugin and use “find” function to search all words. Or you can use their .po and .mo files.

Retina2x plugin is using very advanced script and this is creating issue ( not this but also many other themes including wordpress default themes ).
You can fix this issue by setting “Retina.js” method from Admin > Settings > Retina > “Advanced” tab > Method -> select “Retina.js” and save this changes.

We got your point. Latest version of Event calendar plugin has major changes in css style so it requires custom work to fix it. We will fix this issue and upload latest version of “Spiritual” asap and then you can fix it by replacing current theme with latest version.

Previous comment second reply will automatically fix responsive issue. Theme is not getting responsive css URL properly which is creating issue. If you upload theme file “spiritual.zip” as per video tutorial then it will fix this and many other css related issue automatically.

If you have done many custom changes in previous theme then you can tack customizer settings backup by activating previous theme ( theme which was uploaded with main zip file ) and then go to admin > customizer > export. Now use this exported .json file to import setting with next step..
Now activate current theme ( theme without main zip file and only uploaded with “spiritual.zip” file ) and then go to admin > customizer > import .
Home page has wrong template selection. Go to admin > pages > edit home page > right side “page attibutes” box > select “Default Template”
