Hello,

I am having a problem that occurred randomly all of a sudden. Every slider is ignoring it’s filter and displaying all of the Nectar slides, instead of just the ones with the correct filter. I tried deactivating every plugin except for the salient builder to see if it was a plugin issue, still has the issue though. You can see the site here: gentry.checkoutyour.com and each of those sliders (there are 5 of them including the top main one) used to work correctly and show just the filter ones that applied to each, but now they all show all of them.

Thanks for the help.

Hey,

WP 4.4 caused this the update to fix it (Salient v 6.1.71) is in the queue here at Themeforest and will be out shortly

Cheers

Hello Nectar,

Hoping you can help out sooner than later.

In the top menu bar, above the primary menu, when you add numbers into that menu area, they display all uneven/jagged.

How can this be corrected?

Thanks.

Hey – this isn’t a known issue, could you kindly share the URL in regards so I can take a look at what’s causing it?

Cheers

Hi there, I have been using this theme for a few months now and it is truly amazing. Well done, great work. I am having an issue though with variable products and the Gallery slider with zoom on Hover. When zoom is enabled the variable drop down menus don’t seem to work correctly. For example if I have a product that comes in blue and red, and sizes large and small, if I select blue and large it displays the correct image but if I then select small the image will turn to red even though the drop down is still blue. I notice one or two others had the same problem but I haven’t seen a solution yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Thanks!

Could you kindly share your URL in regards so i can take a further look into your settings?

Cheers

Hi again, here is the URL to one of the pages that is having the problem http://www.rionoreandco.com/shop/pendants/rionore-interwoven-gemstone-silver-pendant/

I have the zoom feature disabled at the moment as the store is live but if you need me to turn the zoom on just let me know.

Thanks.

Hi, I have enable the zoom option again to make it easier for you to figure out what is going on.Thanks

Hi Support, where can I fix the twitter not counting correctly fix as mentioned in your other comments?

Please share your URL in regards so I can take a look :)

How do I send it to you privately?

Hey,

you could open a ticket in regards here: https://themenectar.ticksy.com

first off i love the theme is is great and very customizable. I am creating a vacation rental website and placed my search properties widget in the left side bar but on mobile it shows up at the bottom of the page, is there a easy way to make it appear first?

Thanks

Hey, that’s awesome to hear :)

Open your page-left-sidebar.php file and change the position of the span_3 div to be before the post area

Cheers

Hello :) Love the Salient theme. I just got a text from a client that their site is not showing in IE. Any ideas? I don’t see any errors but I may be missing something.

Thanks!

Hey!

Do you know what version of IE your client is checking on?

On Portfolio style 2 (Meta on hover + entire thumb) how to do I stop the meta info and solid box from appearing? Basically, I just want the thumbs to appear and when hovered do nothing, but when clicked, bring up the larger photo as it normally would.

There are some solutions for this in the Comments but they are years old and no longer seem to work. Thanks.

Hey,

Add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:

.portfolio-items .col .work-info .vert-center, .portfolio-items .col .work-item.style-2 .work-info>i {
  display: none!important;
}

Cheers

The footer reveal effect is killing the entire footer section (not showing up) below 1001px. Is that mend like this?

you have that rule in responsive.css of the main theme @media only screen and (max-width: 1000px) and (min-width: 1px) body[data-footer-reveal=”1”] #footer-outer { position: relative; } but when using the child theme, it does not overwrite the position:fixed, that is used for larger screens but it should, right? I have added the rule to the child theme custom css panel now and it works.

Also… I have noticed, that if the footer is showing up on mobile devices, it is still showing the shadow even if mobile devices do not use the reveal effect. That does not look nice. Do you think you will have a closer look to those issues?

Hey,

Are you using the current version of the child theme? It was updated in the last couple of updates to override various things as expected

Salient version 6.1.7, nectar-slider.js line 4635 has been commented out which results with fade option being disregarded. Can you please check this out, maybe I’m wrong :) Best Regards

Hey!

the fade option is going to be fixed in the upcoming update to work cross browser correctly, thanks for noting this

Cheers

Hey ThemeNectar, :)

May I once more kindly ask for your assistance?

Meta below thumb w/links on hover

1) I’d like to hide (or control) the background color behind the meta (text) of Meta below thumb w/links on hover portfolio thumbnail item. 2) Also, I’d like to control the font styles of meta text below the thumbnail and 3) hide the buttons and transparent color screen that appear on hover. 4) I’d like the entire thumbnail image/area to be the link.

I’m not sure if these are adjustable, or should I do something like that manually.

Have a good day. :)

Hey!

Add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

.portfolio-items .work-item.style-3 .vert-center, .portfolio-items .work-item.style-3-alt .vert-center, .portfolio-items .work-item.style-2[data-custom-content="on"] .vert-center {
    top: auto!important;
    transform: translateY(0%) translateX(-50%)!important;
    bottom: 10px!important;
    position: absolute!important;
}
Cheers

Perfect – thank you. :)

You’re welcome :)

Hello,

The theme has been working great but something just happened causing the sliders on the home page and anywhere else there is a slider to appear twice under each other. We haven’t touched anything in the code or updated any plugins at all.

Any idea on what may be causing this?

Thank you.

Never mind, fixed! It was a plugin issue and it resolved once the plugin was deactivated.

Hey, glad you got it sorted :)

Cheers

Hey Nectar thank you for your quick reply last time. I am facing a significant challenge. Every time I check one of the templates sites in Page Speed Insights there is always a significant amount errors. Below is a link to a Single Page website of mine.

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=www.lnbbroductions.com&tab=desktop

How would you recommend I compress all these files? Do you have an easier workaround? Should I just delete the theme entirely including whats in the directory and start fresh with another one of your themes? Please advise.

Hey,

You need to contact your hosting company about enabling gzip compression and then you need to install this and use the browser caching option https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ also for minifcation after you’re done those items I would recommend using bwp minify https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/

Cheers

Thats awesome. Thank you so much. Working on it now.

You’re welcome :)

Sorry if this was posted before. Having an issue with split background images showing, similar to the eCommerce Demo About Us page (woman on water). On my site I set up the same but only seeing a sliver of the image. Have you seen this before? I see a sliver of the image top right and see it in code but everything I try I can’t get it to display full width. Example page here: https://newleafwellness.biz/temp/

Strange, I was able to get it to somewhat display by adding a text box and some hard returns. (see row below with mirrored layout). But still doesn’t seem to be displaying/adhering to the hight set by the corresponding section.

Hey,

Try to remove all items you have placed in the column which is meant to just be a BG image for the right hand side so it’s just an empty column – if you’re still have issues with this please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a look at what’s going on :) themenectar.ticksy.com/

Cheers

Hmm, still nothin’. Ticket submitted. Thanks!

Hello,

Is there any way of making the header logo and menu confine to the box style, but keep the theme full width?

Also to increase the size of the logo on the mobile version way to small.

Cheers Anthony

Hey,

1. You can deactivate the fullwidth header style in the options panel > header tab :)

2. More control for this is coming in the next update

Cheers

Love the theme and it works great—just one note. There’s a lot of !important styling on the ascend CSS in the form boxes. I suspect that 90% of the time that doesn’t matter but we tried to embed some external forms on the page and had a lot of trouble with the !important tags messing up all the embedded forms padding and sizing.

I don’t know if it’s possible to make the form boxes show up the way you’d like without the !important, but it would be nice! Thanks!

Sure: https://denisejuneau.com/donate/

Really, it’s not the HUGEST of issues, but the embedded form has some embedded CSS and the Ascend CSS marked !important was throwing it for a few loops in Firefox (specifically the padding and font-size).

I’m not a huge fan of the embedded form’s CSS, but it’s what we have to use so we’re stuck.

Thanks! Could you also let me know which inputs are messed up on your end so I can assist? Currently everything looks good to me on FF

Oh it is working fine because I had to go add more !important tags to implement instead of the ones in the ascend skin css. Specifically this code:

.container-wrap input[type=”text”], .container-wrap textarea, .container-wrap input[type=”email”], .container-wrap input[type=”password”], .container-wrap input[type=”tel”], .container-wrap input[type=”url”], .container-wrap input[type=”search”], .container-wrap input[type=”date”] { background-color: transparent!important; border: 1px solid #ccc!important; box-shadow: none!important; -webkit-box-shadow: none!important; font-size: 16px!important; -o-box-shadow: none!important; padding: 16px!important; }

The 16px padding and font-size really messed with the embedded forms (made them unusable on firefox). I had to go add !important tags to my custom css to make the forms work again. Of course, this is a small scale issue and I know CSS pretty well to fix it. I just generally hate multiple !important tags if they can at all be avoided and I know that somebody using your theme with less CSS knowledge when faced with the same issue would have been pretty stuck.

Hey Nectar,

How are you doing?

I’ve searched the comments and the tickets for a while now, and although I’m sure this has almost certainly been answered before, I’m going to have to ask you again.

I am using the Masonry Fullwidth Portfolio – I would like to have some more control over the size of the thumbnails. E.g. Having 6 or 7 thumbnails per row rather than the standard 5? Also, how would I add some padding either side of the portfolio its self?

Essentially I want to make my portfolio page look like the design on the right: http://www.adamt4050.uk/portfolio-design-example/

Kind Regards, Adam

Hey – the snippet would only work if you were indeed using the column portfolio instead of the full width one. Unfortunately modding the column widths in the full width masonry would take editing of the init.js file in addition to css

I’m out of fullwidth now :) I’ve applied the code, but nothing seems to have changed.

Basically I want to reduce the padding/spacing between the portfolio items. And if its possible, I wan to increase the columns from 4 – 5.

Really appreciate your help on this. :)

Hey,

Add this into the custom css box:

@media only screen and (min-width:1000px) {
body .portfolio-items .col.span_3 {
    width: 23%!important;
    margin: 0px 0.5% 0.5% 0!important;
    padding: 0px;
}
}

How can I change the background color and font color of a post in masonry (with no sidebar) blog style? Now it’s white, with dark letters, but I want it to be #333 with #fff text.

I was also wondering if it’s possible to just have the masonry post items, and to not let the titles of these items link to the blog post?

If that’s not possible, how could I change the background color of a single blog post to #333 with #fff text? And is it also possible to remove the “heart” and heart count right of the blog title including the | between the heart and the date?

Thanks

Hey,

Add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

#search-results .result, .masonry-blog-item {
  background: #333!important;
  color: #fff!important;
}

article.post .nectar-love-wrap {
  display: none!important;
}

Cheers

Since I updated to the newest version of the theme the above custom css stopped working, background of a single masonry-blog-item is white again, with grey font, what CSS do I use in the newest version of the theme? Thanks!

Hey,

Add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:

body .masonry-blog-item .inner-wrap {
 background: #333!important;
  color: #fff!important;
}

Cheers

Good morning!

I sent you an email earlier last week, just want to check in if you read through it yet.

Thanks!

Hey – i’m looking for it now and will respond shortly :)

Hi,

I’ve changed the background-color of my megamenu to be the same as my accent color. I successfully changed all the menu-link colors (hover, active, etc.) except one!

When I hover one of the sub-menues, the “title” (sf-with-ul) of this column disappear (since the hover-color is the same as the menu background-color). I’ve tried looking for many hours but have no idea how to change this hover-color.

See here: http://imgur.com/mE1FpD4

Hope you can help. Thank you in advance.

Hey,

Have you tried to change these colors with the custom header color scheme you set in the header tab within the Salient options panel?

Cheers

Haha, I had no idea that was possible. I changed everything by CSS. Thank you so much!

You’re welcome :)

Hi, is there an option to completely turn off the entire top & main menu? I am making a really simple landing page and I dont need any navigation whatsoever.

Hey – add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

.home #header-outer {
  display: none!important;
}

It’s not working, I’ve sent a ticket and got two wrong answers. Also, please answer the other questions because at this speed it will take me a month to finish a simple landing page.

That snippet assumes you’re looking to hide the header on the page you’ve assigned as your front page in the admin panel, please share your URL if that’s the case and it’s still not working. Also I’ll need you to let me know your ticket ID so I can look into what you’re referring to

Cheers
