I was able to update my theme and I’m currently running version 2.2.1 I can’t find any of the new short codes under spa lab page builder. I only have the shortcodes that were available previously. I wanted to use some of the new ones that were on the demo site.

i) Remove the unwanted images, plugins, etc.
ii) Optimize all the images that you have used in the theme.
iii) Use some cache plugins like wp super cache.
iv) Get a good hosting server for your website.

I’d like to add a little more strength to the already mentioned case here of the breadcrumb-issue.
I used to have a fairly non-disturbing solid light color up there as a breadcrumb bar. With absolutely no control on my side this was brutally replaced by some unwanted picture as a background-picture.
Very disturbing to have what visually appears to be a massive change of layout simply because of an update. The advised practice of “changing” the main theme code..
The breadcrumb background image comes from the file wp-content/themes/spalab/images/breadcrumb-default-bg.jpg. Please replace the image in that path to change it
..should not really be recommended since it runs counter to the entire child-theme idea. ANY CHANGES MADE should be within the shielded area of the child theme.
If you find the forced-upon-you breadcrumb-picture just as annoying as I did, and wish to revert back to a nice and quiet solid color WITHOUT EDITING THE MAIN THEME CODE, you could consider the following.
I worked my way around this annoying issue with the following dirty insert:
.breadcrumb-section.type2[style]{
background: none !important;
background-color: #ededed !important; /** choose any color code you prefer */
}
Place it in your child themes style.css, and leave the main theme untouched.
I started fighting the shadows and gradients, so you probably have a few leftovers to wrestle with if you want that clean quiet color-bar back completely.

I do not want to apply them at all. That’s the issue. They came applied with the update. I just want to get rid of them. I want to just have a flat, plain, dull, light solid color instead of the picture.
NO box-shadows and NO gradients on the breadcrumb.

Go to Dashboard / spalab(Bpanel) / Integration / And enable custom css option and add following code inside the text area of custom css section.

Hi I have removed the spa lab theme folder through filezilla ftp I uploaded the new folder into the web directory my website is now blank I’m not sure if the update was successful under my themes it now says spa lab is active but it’s showing just a white screen. I’m not sure if I placed the folder in the wrong location

Please follow the below steps.
1) Create a new page with “Portfolio Template” assigned from “Page Attributes” section.
2) Now go to Dashboard > Portfolio and add as many as portfolio items with images.
3) Go to the page created in step 1.
4) You can see the portfolio items created in step2. If you hover you will have 2 options to zoom and to link. If you click the zoom link, the image will be shown in prettyphoto popup.

Why is it that the skin-css consistently points to the main themes folder, and not the child themes folder? I can make the default-css point correctly to the child themes folder, but for some odd reason the skin-css “pointer” does not change in this same fashion?
I have made a separate skin and copied it to a skins folder in the child theme. But whenever I check an element with the DOM Explorer it throws an error on the skin-css. The “view source” shows that the skin-css points to a folder in the main theme, hence of course the error.

If you are adding new skin folder, then you can add it in the parent theme itself and activate the skin from Buddha Panel option. Your new skin will not be overwritten in theme updates, since that folder is a new folder. If you need to use child theme skin.css, then it is difficult for the buddha panel to detect and activate that skin.

But maybe a thought (think of it as a request) for future updates. I’d prefer if any changes made to the theme were shielded off within the child theme. Just seems more logic. It is just so much easier to trace any modifications made if they are all shielded off within the child theme.
Not very “organized” to have modifications both here and there (main theme AND child theme, despite not being overwritten in this particular case).

we have missing font-awesome icons.
Example we add the new Icon Box-type10 to this page

This is very very confusing, YES to disable, everywhere on the site we use NO to disable but the breadcrumb section says the opposite ????

have just sent the details you requested, however we are concerned every time we have to update the theme things are ‘breaking’.
I wish you would concentrate more on releasing more polished updates rather than adding additional features.
For example if you look at the ‘breadcrumb’ update it has ‘broken’ a few things, if we hide breadcrumbs the first block that appears after the main header no longer has any ‘whitespace’ so we would have to go through ALL the pages and change them.
And this breadcrumb background, you didnt say where this is being controlled from, I have been through the documentation and could find anything. I can see where the background is controlled on the page edit, and in the general section, but nowhere do I have any way to remove this background.
It is a nice feature, one which I would like to be able to control but cannot.
If it is meant to be controllable then please have your programmers test it properly before releasing it.
Yes there are programatical ways to fix these issues, but this should have been taken into account when you guys applied the ‘breadcrumbs’ feature.
Please take this feedback in a positive manner as we are appreciative of your work.

Just to add another bug, using Internet Explorer 11 (11.0.9600.18124)
Search box function – The Magnifying Glass Icon, is out of vertical alignment.
Its a strange one, sometimes it is in the correct place, but after it becomes misaligned, clearing browser cache etc does not help.
Have not seen this issue in Firefox or Google Chrome
Regarding the href links found in the “Icon Box-types” is there a way to selectively target the href links so that they are not active ??

I am trying to upgrade the theme to v2.1 (with child theme) in a WP4.4 setting. I have moved the site to a different location, but seem to have trouble getting the child-theme to properly include the main themes style.css (as well as other stylesheets).
In particular the CSS .tag-line (which was set up default with the Tangerine, cursive Google font) acts completely unexpected. Although apparently correctly defined (according to the DOM Explorer) as Tangerine, cursive it shows up as a completely different font?
What is at play here?
Forgot to mention the DOM explorer throws a:
HTTP404: NOT FOUND – The server has not found anything matching the requested URI (Uniform Resource Identifier).

Ya, I saw your answer to cito75 and decided to give it a try. Truncating those few spaces (overwriting the register_public.php of the main theme) did the trick. The font returned from its ashes.
