Hi! I really like this theme. Is there a way to add a static homepage without the blog? I want to use the visual composer plugin for the homepage.
Hi hennen99. Applique is working with Visual Composer, then you can create a page with a visual composer builder, and you can use that page for homepage from Settings > Reading on your dashboard. Let me know if u have another query. Warm regards,
You can assign static homepage from customizer too. You can navigate to Customizer > Static Front Page > Front page displays > A static page. Then choose your desire page from the dropdown. Warm regards,

There is an email address icon in the header of this theme. Currently it’s linked to ’#’ – where exactly can I change this? I’ve checked the customize panel and I cannot find this option.

Also there are social links in the footer, we only have Instagram and YouTube enabled, yet the footer shows FB, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Bloglovin – how do I disable these, and also update their links?

For email address : The email address ( envelope icon ) is not a link to chosen email address , it’s a trigger for email subscription form , you can insert mailchimpo shortcode to Customizer > Social Icon & Misc > Subscription Shortcode.
For Social Icon in footer : It’s a footer menu link. From your dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Menu > ( Theme Locations : Footer Menu ) , you can add / remove any desire link there.

Hi! I was wondering if there was a reason I am having such trouble with the general layout, I keep trying to opt into the two column or three column display under the feature area. It will only be one standard way. the archive layout changes but not the blog layout, is there another way to change this?

Congrats on creating such a polished theme! Truly elegant and packed with reader-friendly elements. Love it! I just have some pre-purchase questions:
1) Can the name of my site appear in fonts rather than as an image on the lefthand side when scrolling down? (I ask for SEO purposes.)
2) Can I have a search icon (magnifying glass that opens to a search box) in the header?
3) Can I have a styled MailChimp subscriber box in the sidebar or footer?
4) Can the Jetpack gallery images display slightly larger? Also can the width of Jetpack galleries be extended to match how images are wider than the text column?

for your questions: 1. yes, logo image is optional.
2. no, we dont have this in applique
3. for sidebar yes, we have a text html widget so you can use that or mailchimp plugin.
4. unfortunately no, its limited from the plugin itself example

yes you can upload the badge/image first to your media library and use either ads widget (just copy the image url) or text widget (use HTML code).

I just tested a fresh installation in my server and its working fine. but yes this is the notice that you should get if everything is ok. please try to reinstall the parent theme first and then install the child theme again. if the problem still occurs please send me your admin panel to dahzinfo[at]gmail.com . i’ll help you install it.

Hi there! for pop up content, first you need to create the form from mailchimp for wp plugin. copy the shortcode and paste it in customizer -> social account & misc. you can also upload your own image there.

Hey! Really liking the theme so far. I’m having troubles locating in the documentation how to change the link for the “Archive” link on the right hand side of the site. Currently it is still linked to the dahz subsite.
