Is the latest Ken release working with Woocommerce 2.4.12?

Hi, Artbees Developers! “The Ken” appears to be an unusually intelligently designed and very attractive theme—and wondrously, almost magically flexible! I’m grateful to have stumbled upon something with such rich possibilities.

I want to thank you in advance for your patience with my many questions, and with my perhaps imprecise terminology. I’m still learning how wp themes work and what the proper terms for things are. I hope in most cases it is clear what I’m asking.

Also, I’m not requesting that you walk me through any of these questions, I’m just hoping to be given a sense of whether what I would like to do would be easy to do as a theme user, or might require simple coding skills… Or would require the help of a professional developer. (Or perhaps wouldn’t be possible at all.)

Again, thanks so much! My questions:

1) Is it possible for me to see examples of actual websites based on this theme? Is there a place I might go to, to invite people to share their sites? (ie FB group or w/in forum or something?)

2) “Item details” say this theme is compatible w/ BuddyPress & bbpress but just wanted to double check. (b) Also—would using these plugins add considerably to the loading time? (c) Is “the Ken” compatible with the wp Social Articles plugin?

3) In the demos I saw, I noticed that single blog posts were always full-width… Is it possible to include a sidebar on any given blog post page?

4) Would it be relatively easy to add a separator (border line) between post content and the sidebar? (b) Also, would it be possible to have the widget titles be centered, rather than aligning left, or to affect the length of the bar immediately underneath the widget titles?

5) Is it possible to adjust the header’s thickness as part of the theme options/ styling? (By “thickness” I mean measuring from the top of the screen downward… On my home computer, the header on the demos is about two inches thick, I would prefer something a bit slimmer if possible. I am tempted to refer to this as header “height” but I’m not sure that’s right.)

6) Is it possible to disable the preview pictures within the slider? (I think that’s what they’re called. I’m referring to the images that pop up when I click on the right arrow.)

7) The templates you provide sound versatile & inviting. Is it possible to add new sections to a given template (ie, on the homepage), and or/ to reorder the existing sections supplied by the template?

In the demos, in a couple of places I noticed that the text spilt over close to the edges of my screen… is this something that is relatively easy for the theme user to adjust? (b) In general, is it fairly simple to adjust the paddings and margins within a section? (c) Is it possible to adjust the way items appear in a given section? (For instance, on the homepage, to change the way that the text, or a heading, is aligned within a section, so that it is centered within the section rather than aligned to left or right.)

9) Is “the Ken” compatible with the wpDiscuz plugin?

10) Is it possible to affect the appearance of the “counter” that pops up when a page is loading? (Ie to have a colorful graphic pop up, rather than a numerical counter.)

Again, I’m so delighted to have stumbled across your work and I’m hoping to become a The Ken user soon! I really admire the care and intelligence your team has put into creating this visually compelling & user-friendly product.

I have a question.
How do I install Shopper Template without overwriting everything?
I have the website up and running, but now I wanna try to build up a shop. However, I’ve deleted all unnecessary pages including shop pages.
I was thinking about downloading the Shopper Template from your repository, but I’m afraid that it will overwrite my existing styles. I just want the pages to appear in my WP > Pages section.
Is there any way to do that?

I remember a year ago you had .xml content file. Since your last upgrades you don’t have it any more. Is there any solution to my problem

I am having a problem with the contact form with this theme. I tried both contact form 7 and the built in contact form and it’s not working. I even tried using the smtp plugin and it still don’t work. I’m not getting the emails when the contact form sends. I’m using godaddy as a host and they said it is not on their end. I tested multiple things and I’m thinking the theme is the culprit. Any suggestions? I need this fixed fast

I updated visual composer and now I can’t edit any of my pages. When I click something to edit or add on my pages using visual composer it doesn’t do anything. I have the updated theme as well. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi there, can I please check re the browser compatibility? we have users using IE9 and the layout was really bad. Could you please advise on IE browsers compatibility, and how we can adjust / fix the layout problems on browsers?

Are there any compatibility issues with Wordpress 4.4 and the latest version of The Ken?

I have a client using this theme. There is an issue on a few pages, where the sidebar that has a widget in it, is bleeding over into the main content of the page. Looking for some help editing the widget or the sidebar so that it is slightly smaller in width.

As you can see the last tab (Summary tab) of the main body section is partially covered by the left sidebar widget (Apply Now).

How do we edit the sidebar widget’s width so that it no longer covers the main body?

I am looking at purchasing your ken theme to create a landing page for my company. There are a few things I want to make sure it can do before I purchase it, and I’m hoping you can help me with that.

I would like to have a top nav that stays persistently on screen as you scroll down. This bar will have two sections for our two user types (athletes and coaches). Ideally, the content for both sections will preload, and when the user switches between them, the content after the banner will change but the page will not have to refresh.

I also would like there to be an email form/CTA that stays persistently on the screen somewhere as you scroll.

Would love to know if this is possible. Thanks!

How the heck do i change the color/style of the dang search bar to all white??

Hi there, under the portfolio, the indexing seems to be playing up. We have several catagories, e.g.: cat=1,2,3,4,5, and each category has several projects. When users click into the page, and click on the categories, these projects do not show up immediately. We had to click on the “load more” to show them, though first click on “load more” will show 1 project, and second click might show more projects. And these categories never will show the dedicated number of projects properly. Any ideas why?

I am having terrible problems downloading the templates, I thought they were included in the theme package, but it seems I have to go to artbees and get them, problem is I can’t login, i tried resetting the password but each time i try to choose a new password it says the new password is invalid. I logged in with facebook but it says my product code is being used by another account. Please help, I can’t access anything or move forward with my project.

Is there a setting in Ken to move the Header Toolbar above the Header? I see it being done in one of the Demos: http://demos.artbees.net/ken/shopper/

I just updated Templatera and now get the below message. Will VC 4.8 be included in an update soon? I really need Templatera working.

Templatera requires 4.8 version of Visual Composer plugin to be installed and activated on your site. Current version is 4.7.4.

HI…is there a way to add a close icon ( or text worded CLOSE ) just below the title of an expandable page section? it seems the only way to close an expanded page section is clicking on a row above or below the section

Just bought the theme – it looks awesome on a computer – scrolling is very smooth too.

But when I try it on my iPhone 6+ using Chrome, the browser crashed. Subsequent attempts were futile as well.

Using Safari on iPhone 6+, it doesn’t crash but the scrolling is very choppy – not a very good user experience.

I tested the live preview http://demos.artbees.net/ken/ as well – and i get the same result above.

It’s a pity the theme works well on computer but not on mobile. Any idea what’s wrong?

Just a wee heads up – your gallery/lightbox feature is slightly broken. Moving between images in a lightbox requires 2 clicks/taps of directional arrows to actually change the image
