Hello. I just bought this theme and I am a bit confused with demo import. Menu is not the same and fonts and everything is different. How can I get settings right?
I did corporate demo import in the options panel
ok. I found theme-options.txt file and imported it. Thank you for this great one theme you are focusing instead of trying to make money with lots of themes. Very happy with the new corporate demo.

Hi there,
i am using the new version of the salient theme on the latest version of WP. When i view my website on a screen bigger than 15”, as i resize the window, the logo on top left blurs and becomes out of focus, then when i stop resizing, it comes into focus again. I havent experienced this problem before while using Salient so would love some help here.
I can also see that there is black vertical line on the slide of the nectar sliders on my website on tablet and mobile. How can I remove all of these.

1. I haven’t been able to replicate yet – which browser/OS are you seeing this occur on and are you also seeing it on the demo?
2. Try adding this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:

How have you got the slider working on the demo landing page here (under the ‘Featured Demo’ section, the one with all the screenshots) – http://themeforest.net/item/salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme/full_screen_preview/4363266. It’s got the styling of a testimonial slider but I couldn’t work out what element to use to make that with images?

This isn’t possible but a video lightbox button was added – which be good a different but good solution to video needs e.g. you could either use it on top of an image background or video background (which has no sound)

I just installed 7.0.1 and I’m so happy to see that the menu isn’t interfering with page links anymore! 3 things I noticed right off the bat:
1. The portfolio “return” and “prev/next” buttons are at the bottom now. They look great, but is there any way it can be customized a bit in appearance, spacing, size, wording, etc.? Also, is it possible to place the old “prev/next” style on top in the page header as well or instead of? I liked the old way as well so the option to have one or the other (or both) would be fantastic.
2. The portfolio header area used to have a nice opening animation when the page loaded. Basically, the area below the page header would kind of slide down in an appealing way that made the page feel more alive. Is there a way to turn that back on again?
3. What version of Visual Composer should we be on? The current version is 4.9.1 but Salient’s version still says 4.7.4. I know it’s a customized thing so the releases aren’t necessarily going to match up, but I wanted to ask to be sure.
I’ll keep my eyes open for anything else. Fantastic work as always!
Update to #1. I found the option for choosing between top or bottom, but can you add an option to have both in the future? Also, I still can’t find where to customize the text color, background color, size of the area, etc. I like it on the bottom, but the colors (especially the white background) gives off a different vibe than what I’m looking for there.

2. You can define the page header animation in your options panel > page header tab
3. The salient VC will be updated shortly but as of now that’s the version to be on

Some bug in file as i update it’s and update to corporate demo look no change. and second problem when i install theme on fresh WordPress and install recommended plugin (WooCommerce) as i activated woocommerce and move to dashboard it show me “YOU DON’T HAVE SUFFICIENT PERMISSION TO ACCESS THE PAGE” as i de-activated work fine

1. Are you saying that you imported the corporate demo but it doesn’t look the same as the live demo?
2. Are you getting that message on WooCommerce pages or all pages?
yes look not same as live demo.
1. when i hit corporate demo dummy data import > few second after it show it show imported > without save i hit live preview on new tab it’s show > move to back than save setting and move to add favicon and other-things than again save setting > refresh live preview page everything changed to default old version look.
2. During WooCommerce setup that show me “YOU DON’T HAVE SUFFICIENT PERMISSION TO ACCESS THE PAGE”.

I’ve updated to Salient V7.0 and it appear that the Nectar slider on the home page doesn’t work in IE 11 (or lower). Chrome and Firefox seems to be working fine. The page is a default template layout (not home – Slider only) with a nectar slider added through VC. Any ideas on how to fix this? www.urseoul.com

For some reason removing the slider and re-adding it without the Loop function turned on it works. Don’t we all love IE. Thanks for the reply anyway. Salient is one of the themes I enjoy most working with. Keep up the good work!

The new update shifted the portfolio “previous project, back to all projects, next project” options at the bottom instead of the top. Is there a way to move these options back to the top?

There does not seem to be a decent plugin. I see that many people have requested, and that it has been on the wish list for a while now. Any chances of it being added to the theme functions in the near future?
Also, I briefly went into service mode, and for some reason my portfolio page is still in maintenance mode. How do I fix this?
I was able to get out of maintenance mode for the portfolio, but have a few more problems. My logo no longer appears on any mobile device. Also, the menu button does not appear to work on apple products.

Since I updated to Salient 7.0.1, whenever I navigate to the landing page from a sub page by clicking the logo located in the header, the slider hight on the landing page is short. However, when I refresh the landing page / land on the front page for the first time, it’s full screen, which is what I want. Please check it out and point out how I can fix this. The paypal express checkout option is only available on the checkout page but i would like to have it displayed on the cart page so checking out can be skipped.

After updating with the new file available today (10/01), I have encountered 2 errors at the lines 1388 and 1392 of function.php. I have cleaned the cache of the website and cleared the browser, but the errors still there. How do I solve this?

Hey – regarding the posts loading the same ones on the home land, unfortunately this is a bug introduced into the core of WP 4.4.1 so until they release the next update to fix it you’ll need to turn off pagination on your front page https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35344
